    Project: Void

    Spoiler:
After the rebellion and escape of the Infinite-Line, those in the government tried contracting many kinds of people to make a replacement, something that wouldn't have the flaws of the original. This resulted in several projects, and a mass hiring of new workers and researchers, considering most of the old were killed or mangled in the escape.

Robotics specialists, more engineers and even a few more esoteric kinds of researchers.

With the Infinitus Reactors at their hands, nothing seemed out of reach, soon one scientist proposed an idea.

What if instead of killing psychics, they ripped their powers away from them? It sounded infeasible at first, scoffed at by their peers until one researcher on a project focused on further researching the UFO discovered something strange.

Hidden within some of the systems was what appeared at first to be nothing. Some parts were completely substituted for some kind of strange darkness, inky and seemingly grabbing at any light it could. It also appeared to be part of the systems for holding back the radiation, as it seemed to just absorb it and practically anything else. It was then assumed without these systems, the one body they found would have fared far worse.

It was as if what they were looking at was solidified nothing. And considering it’s qualities of absorption, some of the teams were diverted to find uses for it.

It took them 3 years, this inky black-matter resisting everything they did, but they did find it could restrain and even absorb psychic abilities.

Thus, the idea of a vessel came along. Something meant to hold and restrain as many of these abilities as possible and even utilize them itself. Something without mind, without will, without anything to hold it back from the one task it was meant to do and to follow orders without question.

They were to create life from nothing. 4 more years passed. They created a small vessel. A testbed for refining the process, trying to achieve exactly what they wanted. They did this many times, but they all had flaws. Showing emotion, hesitation, even disobeying orders. They were all tossed aside, slain, corpses of nothingness and simple heads thrown into a pit, never to be seen again.

They continued to do such things, simply considering the corpses of the slain nothing more than bodies which could move and obey, despite many of the flawed showing otherwise.

Thousands of the remnants of their bodies were thrown in that pit before they found their vessel, and they practically forgot about the pile, locking it up deep inside their facility.

However, something did form down there, out of the remnants of so many others. And it did climb out of that pit eventually, despite it’s small size. But they didn't know this, nor did they care.

The actual vessel was now considered their ace in the hole for places too well encamped for a simple extermination. It would rip out their powers from afar, under the cover of night, and the newly weakened psychics would then be persecuted with their new inability to fight back.

However, they are rarely used, many of those in the upper echelons of the government considering it too merciful, too swift.

    Character: "Hollow"
    Spoiler:

    Name: "Hollow"

    Race: Vessel

    Age: 2

Appearance: Hollow stands at a measly 3'2, being dwarfed by basically everyone and everything. Their head is the form of a full-head mask made of a bone-like substance, although far harder. Two little horn-like protrusions stick out of the top, and the only defining feature on the face are two wide ovular holes, nothing but darkness inside.

Their small stubby body lacks any features, simply more darkness, although they cover themselves with a a light gray cloak, ruffled and wrinkled from quite a bit of travelling.

Personality: Their personality is hard to gauge, mainly from the fact that they can't speak, or at least have not shown the ability to. They're incredibly curious, always poking and prodding various people, places and things out of sheer curiosity for what they are.

They do seem to also be a fast learner and is still trying to learn English so they could communicate.

Biography: As Project Void continued, bodies of the disposed continued to pile up, countless masks of various shapes and sizes simply left to rot in the bottom of a giant hole. The nothingness that resided in them was mostly gone, but they didn’t want to risk the chance.

As it turned out, their suspicions were correct. The residue left on thousands of masks coagulated and formed together into one being, a perfect vessel, just like their finished creation. It learned to walk, then run, then climb. It took a year for it to get out of that hole, piling high the masks of the never truly formed, getting out via the shoot they used to dump bodies down there. It never encountered any guards or anybody else. Thus, it simply left.

Now it wanders aimlessly, constantly learning about the world around it.

    Abilities:
    Spoiler:

Doesn't have any abilities as of the start of the RP, but will gain them as it gains more control over it's abilities and form.

1: Restraint/Removal of psychic abilities: Hollow would focus it's form and absorb the abilities straight from their mind. Would require touch at first, but then expand to a limited range.

This also allows them to use abilities they have gained, and even possibly transfer them between people.

2: Shapeshifting: Hollow's form is not set. It can change and grow over time, given the opportunity. Such things also allow them to control parts of their body separate from themselves.

3:Matter Phasing: Hollow's form is not exactly matter, per say. It's something completely foreign and almost alien to our normal sensibilities.

With enough control over their body, they could phase through walls or even attacks. This would have a cooldown as not to completely destabilize their body, and the distance phased through would increase with time.

Skills: Hollow doesn't really have any other skills other than movement. They are extremely nimble, being able to climb and walk across most surfaces and with quite apt speed.

Definitely wants to learn as much as it can, however.

    Other: None

    Minor Character/Boss: Vessel
    Spoiler:

    Name: The Vessel

    Race: Vessel

Personality: Has none. Simply acts according to orders given to it. Has no qualms with violence or anything else. They are as their name implies, an empty vessel. However, it's tendencies towards violence show a more primal reflection of those in the upper echelons of government.

Not that they realize such, of course.

Appearance: They are quite tall, standing at a height of 8'2. Their mask is more like a tall crescent, jagged spikes at the tips of each one. It's body is tall and thin, completely black and devoid of features aside from it's clawed hands and needle-like legs. It covered by a long cloak as to not restrain movement or shapeshifting, while also somewhat obscuring it's true nature somewhat.

Bio: The culmination of years of work from Project: Void. An empty vessel, made to do the government's bidding with it's strange abilities and capability to cripple a psychic. Rarely deployed, but greatly feared for it's near animalistic ferocity when it is.

Abilities: Ability to restrain or take psychic abilities for their own. This has given them a wide repertoire of abilities to use for both offensive and utility purposes. Is extremely powerful as such.
Shows skill with a variety of weapons. Prefers heavy weapons and has even been seen wielding a huge blade at times.

Matter Phasing: Can phase through matter/walls/attacks. Has a cooldown for such but can make the difference between life and death.

Void Energy: Can discharge violent bursts of dark energy if needed. Sometimes does this randomly as well, as if letting off energy to not be overcharged.

    Void Reports
    Spoiler:

    Void Report 1

I will be honest, I do not know if our superiors know what we’re having to deal with here. This substance is unlike anything I believe anyone has seen before.

There's lots of theories going around the origin of that ship, but something like this, in my opinion puts it firmly in the alien category, regardless of body.

The substance seems to be nothing. Not as in there's anything there, but what IS there is almost like if "nothing" had a state of matter, despite its incredibly strange properties as such.

Here are the properties we have deduced so far.

1: The matter seemingly moves as it wants, depending on the environment and surface it is placed on. It has been shown to act like a solid, a liquid and a gas, being able to switch in-between. It is currently unknown how it knows when to switch forms for maximum effectiveness.

2: Can be highly corrosive at times, shown to eat through their metal containers within a few hours. How they managed to make this work in a “spaceship” like we found, I still do not know. Working on a material that may solve this problem, derived from that “space-ship” internal lining.

3: Absorption of all forms of radiation, including that from the sun. Combined with it’s highly corrosive properties, what we can figure is that this substance wishes to devour and consume, as some of my assistants have put it.

4: This is something we still need to run proper experiments on, but many people working directly with the material have reported memory problems. People forgetting where they live, what they’re actually working on, and one even has seemingly forgotten his name.

If i’m to judge on this, I believe it can steal things from the mind itself. We’d have to run more tests and get some volunteers to confirm our suspicions, but this is getting increasingly dangerous if this is true. We’ll need to make protective suits. Maybe out of the same material we’re to make our containers out of.

    Void Report 2

So, a lot has gone on since the last report. We’re having a merger of projects after we reported in on it’s memory stealing properties, which we have confirmed.

The other project wanted a way in order to completely nullify psychics, and it appears this might be their solution. We’ve finished up this material, which we’re simply calling Hollowstone. It possesses an almost porcelain-like feel, while being far sturdier and flexible.
It seems to have worked. Reports of forgetfulness and other issues have lowered dramatically. The substance (which we’ve gotten around to calling “Void” for lack of creativity) and it’s corrosive properties cannot eat through this “Hollowstone”.

Our next goal is to figure out it’s stranger properties.

    Void Report 7

After getting some psychic “volunteers”, we have finally seen if the substance has any effect against psychic abilities.

Which it does. Quite to the effect the other group was desiring. It almost appears to “rip out” (figuratively, but the best term to describe) psychic abilities. Subjects then appear to have no way to reactivate their abilities and some have even lost knowledge on what ability they had in the first place.

We’re trying to figure out exactly how “Void” can disable abilities in such a manner, considering it’s a genetic mutation, but we’ve all got a few ideas.

1: The most popular theory is that it simply removes knowledge on how to utilize the abilities. Most popular theory so far and it makes sense considering it’s other effects of forgetfulness.

2: It somehow is actually eating the mutated material from the brain from afar. Far-fetched, but considering it’s corrosive capabilities, not out of the question. Something like this could also explain the memory-issues, possibly it legitimately eating brain matter, which is a disturbing proposition if it can do this from afar.

3: The most ridiculous, though the other group is very interested in this one. The idea that it could possibly devour non-physical objects such as information or mutation. This one could open a lot of possibilities if it weren’t as far-fetched as it sounds.

However, like all things, the possibility is there. The other group thinks that if the third option were correct, we could get it to learn. I think they wish to create a living being.

Creating life from nothing. It honestly sounds quite funny in my head.

    Void Report 16

The other group was right. A while back during the initial reports on the Void's capabilities against psychic powers, I spoke of how the other group believed that it could absorb things like information. These people were correct.

The Void is learning. At first I thought there were just some malfunctions here and there, strange occurrences, but for sure now, this substance is alive. I’m sure of it now. It was moving of it’s own volition, not just because of a slanted surface or what-not. Once a subject entered the chamber, it knew exactly what to do. Whereas before we simply had the subject approach the sample of Void, the sample moved to and incapacitated them in a hostile fashion.

We managed to get it off, but not before it managed to severely disfigure the subject’s face, completely devouring their eyeballs, teeth and tongue in under 30 seconds.

We’re keeping a very close eye on it, but the looks from the other group here? It speaks of bad ideas.

    Void Report 20

They’ve moved me from being head of the project now. Those from the other group took my place. They want us to make life, some kind of “vessel” from this Void. Something which can retain and take psychic powers and follow orders to the letter.

This is insane. These reports aren’t even official anymore, i’m practically just using these as a journal of notes at this point.

Regardless, we have confirmed the suspicion that the Void substance can indeed absorb information and utilize it. I’ve actually had a one-sided conversation with some of it. It confirmed our suspicions. It’s nearly sentient now just after being given access to a computer. It ripped the information from it without even damaging the case.

It’s almost like magic, to be brutally honest. Coming from a scientist, what we have here goes against every convention of science we have. This is something completely and utterly alien and it scares me.

    Void Report 23

The Void substance has breached containment.

    Void Report 24

We managed to get it back, but it’s completely refusing orders. It’s gone beyond that now. High Command had us destroy it. Couldn’t do so completely, but it’s inert now. Must have destroyed whatever mind was inside of it.

They now want to replicate it. They know it can be sentient now.

    Void Report 38

They’ve been making vessels left and right now. Then chucking all those tainted masks away into that pit. Can’t burn it away, not fully. And the Void makes recycling the materials in the masks impossible.

I’ve figured out how they do it. How they can steal then utilize those psychic abilities, at least to an extent. All it took was to talk with some of them before they were disposed. Well, they had to write it out, but it was enlightening. I’ll leave the responses here for further reference.

Subject 107: It’s hard to explain. It’s like how you humans breath, we can take. I think it’s part of what we’re made of.

Subject 124: We can learn, yes, but taking from others is so much faster. We can rip the ability out of their head, things like how to read, or write. Those people can’t do it anymore.

Subject 141: We reach out with our energy, look into their mind and then we take. Like extending part of your very being, very soul, into the other person. We can see who they are, who they were, even who they might be. Then, we take. Think of it like taking the very concept from their minds. Sure, the mutations stay where they are. But they’re nothing more than abnormalities at that point. We took their very purpose, and we can only give it back if we wish.

Subject 173: I think that if we really wanted to, we could take everything. Make the human into just a shell of skin and meat and bone, completely take what makes them a thinking, living creature and incorporate it into ourselves. I think that’s what they want us to do, really. Be killing machines of no remorse, no mercy. And they’ll keep killing us until they find the one that will be fine with doing exactly that. Like a game of chance.

    Void Report 48

The project is considered finished. They have their oh-so perfect “vessel” and all of us are being moved to other projects. I personally do not know where, myself.

So many lives were lost here. They created hundreds upon hundreds of beings and killed each one, chucking whatever was left into that accursed pit. And for what? There was so much potential here, squandered because some superiors wanted a killing machine capable of stripping the enemy apart without lifting a finger.

I move onto my next project with dashed hopes and remorse. I'm going to try to get out of this. New name, new identity. I can't do this anymore.

This is Dr. Osenbeirg, sending this off to several sources in hopes it reaches someone who can use this information and stop that monstrous Vessel. Good luck.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

@Cucoo I have read over your apps once again after you said they are practically done. Accepted

@Mima: I'm not sure how "ripping out their powers" would work considering it's a mutation of man kind. It would be like saying there's this new energy with the power to rip out someone's free will or their ability to count and read.

When is the IC gonna start? Last time i came in right before the last one stopped so I'm glad I can start at the beginning this time.

I don't see no Mima 'ere, wha' are you on about?

In all seriousness, however, what I put is basically the general basics. I'm writing out a kinda-sorta explanation for what the substance actually does written as a set of journal/report kind of things as we speak. I'll insert it into another spoiler tab in the post whenever i'm finished with it, as to shed a little more light on such abilities.

                      Round 3
A brief one to just get Trace a more immediate support.

                      Name: Mike Warner aka Cicero
                      Spoiler:

                      Race: Human

                      Age: 22

                      Appearance:
                      Spoiler:

                      Personality:
A science nut who has a passion for flight, physics, and games. Pretends to know what he's talking about, when he sometimes doesn't.

                      Biography:
An intern who, against all odds, received the honor to work alongside the scientists while developing Trace. He mainly worked as a technician, running maintenance checks on her after testing sessions.

Because he was an unpaid intern, he was only a footnote in the directory of staff.

One day he called in sick, mainly to play a new adventure game. Little did he know that it, alongside his little known presence in the research group, would save him from the calamity that would befall those he worked with.

Skills: Experimental Physicist with a talent with technology and computers. Somewhat a jack of all trades, master of none and mostly a derp.

Other: He serves as a support for Trace and also helps send repair kits and modifications to her when he makes them.

Here is my final app, and it's a NPC or 'Minor Character' app for a character. One from the original IP, and one newly created for this reboot. Would have gotten started on this sooner, but this past 4-5 days I've been busy with IRL stuff and I came down sick with Bronchitis and only today have I started to feel properly well enough to post. Spoiler:

Name: Dave or 'David'. However when interacting with others he tends to use a special alias/identity known as "The Observer".

                        Race: Human?

Personality: The Observer. A mysterious man who hides a lot of secrets. Interactions with him are always done via an INCREDIBLY secure transmission that has oddly been hard to track. Most of the time, people don't go out to find him. Rather... he'll find you. Usually when he interacts with people (over said transmissions whether video or audio), will always seem polite, and genuinely seems to care about others affected by the government. Yet he always seems to be hiding SOMETHING. Either way people do not report him to be hostile. Rather 'The Observer' is always there to provide help. With information that you wouldn't expect him to know. Particularly about the Government, and more specifically members of the Infinite Project line. He is always willing to provide help, but only to those who are willing to listen to him.

Dave on the other hand is rather opposite than his avatar. While he doesn't like seeing others get hurt, he prefers to not help people directly. He hates 'getting his hands dirty', and prefers to only help by relaying information to others. Aside from that he does seem a bit self-centered and if shit goes down and he is actually in the area the stuff is happening, he'll often try to save his own ass.

                        Appearance:
The avatar he uses for his 'The Observer' identity:

                        Abilities: (also optional)

                                Spoiler:

                                Name: Lucy

Race: Lucy was born human but through various experiments has had DNA from multiple animals pumped into her, altering her DNA and her appearance. This new race is being called "Chimera"

                                Age: 20

Appearance: Lucy is 5 foot 8 inches tall or 1.77 meters tall. She has raven hair, orange eyes and C-cup breasts. The top of he hair is parted by two cat like ears with white fur on the inner layer. her forearm up to her elbow is covered in dark fur the same color as her hair with her hands ending in tiger like paws. Her paws luckily came equipped with thumbs to make her life easier. She has two inch long claws that she can extend from her paws to defend herself that can extend and retract similarly to how a cat's would.

She has red scaled bat like wings extending out from he shoulders. When fully extended the wings rach about four feet each. She has a long red scorpion's tail that's about five feet long with a bladed tip. Her feet are covered in fur up to her knees and appear to be shaped half way between a human and lion's foot. Her torso for the most part is still human and femininely shaped. Despite her odd appearance one could say she looks sexy.
                                Spoiler:

Personality: Lucy's behavior and mental state are rather poor thanks to the way she was treated after being taken from her home. Due to how young she was at the time of her abducted, she's never had a day off schooling in her life leaving her unable to read and just barely able to count. Her ability to reason and think logically has been impaired, leaving her to act on instinct and emotion. she's become incredibly hostile towards humans and extremely territorial of anything she considers to be her space. However she is still partly human and is capable of learning if given the chance.

                                Part 1
                                Spoiler:

Lucy was born on a wheat farm in Oklahoma. She lived with her father Morgan, her mother Rosalina and her big brother Jason. Her father was a former Texan lawman and her mom a country farm girl. The two met one faithful night at a bar. Her father was celebrating a successfully completed case that had taken him out of sate. Her mother was singing at the bar as part of the entertainment. the two got to talking and after a few rounds of drinks ended up layering together in bed.

A few months later Officer Morgan got a call from his lover, informing him that she was pregnant with his child. Wanting to do the right thing, the lawman proposed and the two got married shortly after Jason was born. Despite the conditions of their marriage the two were fairly happy together. Jason's mother and father got along well and had good chemistry together. And of cores they both loved their baby boy.

A year later Rosalina got pregnant again, this time with a daughter she would later name Lucy. These were harder times. Rose had a hard time looking after her son with another bun in the oven and Morgan was forced to take less dangerous jobs due to his family depending on him. Morgan eventually quite his job and the family moved out of their tiny home to a wheat farm Rose had inherited from her father. The married couple worked hard and eventually built a respectable farm out of the land, eventually buying a horse and a tractor

They sheltered their kids from their troubles and tried to give them a good of an upbringing as they possibly could. Jason and Lucy never went hungry or without attention for too long. They received all the medical care they needed and were given all the love their parents could muster.

Lucy was a happy young girl who loved piggy back rides, plays pretend and had a love for animals. She was always happy whenever she got to see the horse or any farm animals from other farms in their area. Her favorite were cats. rabbits, puppies and oddly enough, cows. She also loved to follow her brother pretty much anywhere he went, even if the place he was going had little interest to her. Something about spending time with him just made her happy. If her parents were in the room she had to be held by them or sitting on them at all times.

Jason was very close with his sister as well. He always wanted to show her new things, teach her what he learned that day, play with her. They had their occasional fights but if someone was bothering his sister he would fight them over it. He was even so bold as to punch a kid almost twice his size for knocking her ice cream onto the ground. Luckily his dad was there to keep the situation from getting out of hand. Because of this Lucy ended up looking up to him almost like some kind of hero.

They lived a pretty average life in the country. Nothing too special but not boring either. It was around this time that the government was also looking for new ways to make super soldiers. In order to speed up the process among other things, they searched for already existing humans who could possibly survive certain tests and experiments being done on them. Morgan was brought up as a possible candidate. As a former lawmen he was already registered in their files, right down to his DNA. but he was simply too old.

He was almost in the clear, but when they saw that he had two children, they gained hope that at least one of them would have the genes they needed. A government agent went to their local area and began spreading chicken pocks to the children by selling ice cream. Another agent posing as a child doctor was on standby, waiting for the two children to eventually show up.

It eventually worked, the two children were taken to the doctor's to be checked out. Their family doctor was mysteriously gone that day, something had come up and she couldn't make it. While their the doctor did all the usual things, checking their height, weight, heartbeat, ears, eyes and so on. The agent warned the family of another virus going on, one that looked like chicken pocks but was actually more serious. Morgan and Rose instinctively trusted the doctor and allowed her to extract just enough of their blood for testing.

The blood the agent gathered was then annualized. Jason had the genes they were looking for while his sister only had a few of them. The government had found their test subjects, now they just needed to obtain them. In the following weeks government agents set up reconnaissance around the families farm, learning the in and outs of their daily routines. They observed their eating habits, work ethnics, how much time they spent playing, how often they argued, where they went, when they went to bed, what they watched on TV and so on. They tapped heir phone and monitored their internet activity using exploits intentionally built into their computer's CPU.

Once they had a big enough profile on the family, they devised a plan to abduct the children. They had drugged the McDonald food they had brought home for dinner with a chemical that made them very sleepy and kept them asleep for longer. Morgan always left his computer running in sleep mode at night, this is what they would use to their advantage. Using the same backdoor they used to keep track of his internet history, they woke up his computer at night long after they had both fallen asleep. An agent then took control of his computer from the outside, forcing the fans to turn off and running the CPU as hard as he possibly could. The computer got hotter and hotter until the computer caught fire.

The family was still fast asleep, unable to wake up due to the drugs they had consumed. Two government agents used this chance to sneak in to the children's room and grab them while they were sleeping. Eventually the fire department was called to put out the fire. Morgan and Rose were fine but all they found in the nursery were two chard corpses that couldn't be identified. Morgan was blamed for starting the fire and was charged for arson and the murder of his two children. Morgan was sentenced to life in prison and Rose was forced to move back in with her parents. the grief stricken mother was unable to take care of herself in her current condition, and was eventually forced to sell the farm.

                                Part 2
                                Spoiler:

Jason and Lucy were taken off to separate government facilities. While Jason had the genes they needed for their next super soldier experiment, Lucy was lacking many of the required ones. this resulted in the two siblings being separated. Lucy was sent instead to a facility to be part of the "Chimera Project" This wasn't a super soldier project like so many other facilities were for, but rather it was a project dedicated to splicing human and animal DNA to find new ways of augmenting the next generation of super soldiers. Lucy woke up frightened and alone. She was lost. where was she? why was she here? Where had her mother and father gone? what happened to her big brother? The child's panicked cries and questions went unanswered. the chairmen of the Chimera Project was a cold, heartless man who looked at her protests as nothing more than an annoyance.

Lucy was forcefully taken to an underground laboratory and given an animistic to prevent her from bleeding. It also kept her form feeling pain but that didn't matter to the chairmen. all he cared about was keeping her alive long enough to see the results of his experiments. The first experimenter was pretty straight forward. Lucy was cut open and partly taken apart. They altered her DNA on an atomic level, infusing her with genes from the planarian in an attempt to give a human being some of their properties.

The experiment didn't go quite as planned, at least not the first time. The alterations in her DNA seemed dormant. They were still there inside of her, but they weren't doing anything. This was discouraging but there was no turning back now. If the chairmen didn't make this work, he knew what would happen to his funding. He began researching ways to activate dormant genes, trying a number of things to get them to work but all of them coming up short. It wasn't until he was mistakenly delivered resources meant for another facility that he was able to fix her.

Someone had sent him a shipment of nano machines that were supposedly meant for another facility. At first he was going to send them back to Project Achilles, but then he got an idea. The chairmen had the R&D team program the machines for him with the codding they needed. Once finished, the nano machines were injected to the young girl. the next morning when the chairmen checked on the girl, she had made a full recovery. the nano machines hadn't been programmed to do anything but activate her planarian, they wouldn't have healed her. This was good news, the project was finally working. The Nano machines were extracted from the child and taken back to the labs. the chairmen wold have never been able to get nano machines on his own. They didn't exactly grow on trees and at the current time, he didn't have enough funding or standing to get anymore on his own. Instead of sending them back to where they belonged, he kept them, knowing he could use them in future projects to help activate dormant genes in his new favorite lab rat.

When Lucy finally woke up, she didn't feel all that different. she looked the same too. the only difference was that her clothes were missing. They had been replaced with a hospital gown, or at last that's what it looked like. She had been locked in a cage like some kind of wild beast with nothing to drink but vitamin water and nothing to eat but questionable food that most likely had something in it. The food was awful, and she didn't like eating it, but what choice did she have? Lucy didn't exactly take being locked up well either. But she was a lot more docile than her brother. She lacked the courage to speak out or challenge the ones mistreating her. She never cooperated with them, but she gave very little resistance unless she was in pain. Even then there was little she could do but scream. They had her tied to a bed, cutting her flesh to see how long it took for her to heal, cutting off fingers and toes to see how long they took to regrow, how close they were to the originals and so on.

Lucy begged them to stop, cried out for mercy, for someone to save her. Mama? Papa? Jason?...but nobody came.

The experiments only got worse after that. They started altering her DNA with various types of big cats including mountain lions, tigers and cheetahs, using the nano machines to activate them once they were done. She ended up getting what they called "cat vision" which allowed her to see in the dark at the cost of not seeing as many colors anymore. She became physically stronger and faster as well. The added hormones caused a change in behavior which made her more rebellious against the scientists. She even ended up scratching one of the researches cheek, leaving a nasty mark across it.

In a fit of anger the researcher cut off both of the girl's arms and legs, excusing it as another experiment. The chairmen was angry at first, but then had a good idea. He used the nano machines to speed up the process of regrowing her legs, only they didn't look the same anymore. Her legs were covered in fur up to her knees and her arms up to her elbows. Her new hands and feet looked like paws with black fur and retractable claws. When Lucy woke up to see what had become of her, she finally snapped.

She threw the biggest temper tantrum any child ever had in their life, using her newly grown claws to attack the researchers. She managed to cut the man who had taken off her arms and legs right in the throat, dealing a almost fetal blow before she was tranquilized. The researcher was taken to the labs and put back together, but no longer as a man. the chairmen started drugging Lucy to keep her pacified during her experiments. He gave her (and i shit you not) cat nip to keep her distracted. Whenever it came time to operate on her, they would put her to sleep.

This went on for five years with Lucy undergoing various experiments from the researchers. On the first year they cut off her head to see how long it would take her to regrow it, not once but several times. Each time testing her memory and seeing how long it took her to remember how to solve the same puzzles she had done before. To their surprise she was able to remember how to solve puzzles even after decapitation. The last time they cut her head off, they had it regrown with cat like ears and orange eyes, improving her vision so she could see a few more colors while seeing in the dark and improving her hearing. Her sense of smell was upgraded as well to something closer to a cat's nose. They reinforced her jaw mussels and sharpened her teeth to be like that of a cat. The chairmen's vision was coming to fruition.. Lucy's mood was starting to improve as well. Since no one had reminded her of her family, she didn't remember them after her first decapitation. But the memories laid dormant somewhere inside her.

On the second year they started giving Lucy special medication to help her bones and body become stronger. She exorcised, ate, slept, drank and even played, all to test her augmentations. There were a few problems, such as her bones struggling to keep up with her strength, but that could be fixed easily. They increased the number of bone struts in all of her bones by 50%, making them denser and harder to break. This also made her body heavier. They also grafted carbon graphene onto her bones to make them harder to break, things that would have normally broken them could be resisted or might only cause small factors which took less time to recover. and off cores each time a bone was broken they would naturally mend to be stronger.

On the third year they tried to add poison to her body, something she could weaponize. Two of her teeth were taken out and replaced with toxin filled fangs. The toxin in question was taken from a plant known as nightshade. It was ultimately harmless but was capable of causing paralysis in humans and other animals. the nano machines altered her DNA to give her a natural immunity to the toxin. It worked, but she still couldn't produce the toxin on her own. Lucy's monthly shots and vitamins were slightly altered to accommodate this, now including a shot to make her produce venom in the fangs.

On the fourth year she was cut open again, this time to attach wings to her back. This was easily the most painful thing the child had ever experienced. Even after she had grown them for the first time, the pain she felt in her back didn't go away. It took several months of rehabilitation for her to even be able to use them. Unfortunately she could only fly in short bursts and not for very long. Her body was simply too heavy and her wings weren't strong enough to keep her in the air for very long. They gave up on improving her ability to fly in favor of giving her more means of attack.

On the fith year they tried injecting her with scorpion DNA. The fat tailed, androctonus scorpion to be exact. This was the final and arguably worst experiment they did on her. They forced Lucy to grow a five foot long bladed scorpion tail, filled with the androctonus scorpion's deadly venom. All of the augmentations had put Lucy through hell, and it seemed like every time she got use to one change in her body they forced another one on her. Her center of balance was already thrown off by the wings on her back, but the tail made it even worse. Lucy ended up walking on all fours just to confiscate for her lack of balance on two feet. Whenever she did stand upright, she had to use her new tail to keep herself up. She folded her wings around her like a cloak to put some of the weight up front as well and wrapped the tail around her waste once to help as well.

At the end of the fifth year, it was time for the chairmen to give the higher ups his progress report. One of them came to his lab personally to inspect Lucy. They put her through several tests. Showing off her strength and speed and cat like reflexes. She was forced to memorize a maze, only to have her head cut off and regrown so she could do it again, this time in pitch black darkness. She solved the maze quickly as if she had just taken it, which she had.

The progress they had made with Lucy earned the project a much better standing with the higher ups, and thus their funding was increased. Lucy was moved to a new facility, a much larger one with more resources, workers and a contained biome the size of a golf cores. The small biome contained several mini biomes including a forest area, a jungle, a small fresh water lake, many caves and a swamp. An orange tag with the label 002 was attached to her right ear and she was let lose in the biome where she lives to this day.

Project Chimera began taking in more and more new test subjects, giving them aspects from various animals to see how well they can be applied to and utilized by soldiers. They turned people into bats, birds, spiders, crocodiles, lions, apes, and various other beasts. Lucy was the only hybrid as she was the first, and at the time only test subject they had while the rest of them followed more conventional animals. the R&D team started mass cloning feral animals and setting them lose in the biome each day to give the experiments prey to hunt, kill and eat. Some of the experiments even ate each other.

It's been 11 long years since then. Lucy has established herself as the alpha in the jungle portion of the biome. Project Chimera has only just now began shipping their augmentations to other companies to create super soldier, slave workers and domesticated fetishized companions. Lucy has turned into more of an animal than a human. without ever having any kind of formal education, living in "the wild" and eating anything that failed escape her claws. She still has to be given hormones and vitamins on a monthly bases to keep herself stable and functioning as many of her augments are still not perfect. While this could easily be permanently fixed with nano machines, the researchers haven't done this as it's their only way to control her.

                                Abilities:
                                Spoiler:

Lucy's wings allow her to fly for short distances. Her wings will get tired if she uses them for too long or flies to fast and she can't go too high with them for risk of falling. She can bite with a force of 830 PSI, making her easily strong enough to crush bone with her bites. Her teeth are also razor sharp and perfect for ripping through flesh and meat.

The changes they've made to her mind and eyes allow her to react about as fast as a mountain lion or about 8.33 times faster than the average human.

She has two fangs in her mouth capable of injecting potential victims with a non lethal poison. The atropine poison in her fangs works by blocking the action of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors. In plain English it blocks the muscles from receiving signals from the brain. This particular poison comes from nightshade and is perfectly safe. Other effects of the poison include regulating the heartbeat, decreased salivation and dilation of the eyes. This poison was often used on humans for surgeries and to remove other more harmful toxins.

Her tail is long and rather strong. She can use it like a sword or a whip and use it to lift things and even people up to 270 pounds.. The venom in the tail is fast acting and can be absorbed very quickly, because of the small molecular weight of the proteins that make up the venom. These neurotoxins act on the central nervous system, causing paralysis in the nerves that are responsible for respiration, which ultimately causes death by respiratory failure. In some cases the toxin may also cause widespread neuronal excitation, symptoms of which can include pain, sweating, salivation, and tearing of the eyes. Some victims have gotten severe envenomation causing them to feel progressively weaker after being stung. The toxin usually takes anywhere from 5 to 15 hours to kill an adult human but can take as little as 1 if stung in a vital area such is the neck heart or spine.

Lucy's body has been modified to regrow lost limbs in much the same way that a lizard, starfish or a planarian can. Even if her head is cut off, her planarian DNA will allow her to fully regrow her head with her memories in tact. The memories however do not come back instantly and she may need to be reminded of some things. However anything she learned before decapitation can be relearned in a single lesson. Her body can not regenerate quickly either and it can take anywhere from an hour for a small cut to a few weeks for a lost limb or decapitation. Perhaps in the future she might find a way to speed up the process. (Sorry but not even the scientists studying the planarian know exactly how it works so i wasn't able to give a lot of information on it. But with how much time has passed i thought it was reasonable that they would have found out by then.)

Her bones and claws have had carbon graphene grafted onto her bones to make them stronger while making her claws sharper. They make up about 3% of her bone's mass and do not restrict the creation of blood cells in any way. this however does put her at greater risk of electrocution since graphene is highly conductive.

Her muscles are quite a bit stronger, being comparable to that of a tiger. she can lift 1800 pounds and can run at 72 MPH or 32.2 meters per second. If she sprints at her max speed for too long she'll tire herself out and need to cool off. Because of this she has learned to be stealthy, allowing her to get closer to a target before chasing it or limiting her run speed to something less taxing.

Her catlike eyes let her see very well in the dark, allowing her to hide and hunt in dark places while never losing sight of her prey. She has the reflexes of a mountain lion and can easily outpace even he quickest of humans.

Skills: Lucy has very few skills that don't correlate to hunting. She's become very good at tracking food being able to use her senses of cent and sound to track down her food. she's a fearsome CC fighter thanks to her sharp claws and swift tail. She's very mobile and good at planning out a cores as she goes to avoid obstetrical and get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. She has no experience using guns or bladed weapons but still understands how they work and could probably hit a target with a rifle given enough practice. She has no idea how computers work and will often rely on brute force or swift movement to try and get around obstetrical that could more easily be overcome with a little technical know how.

                                Spoiler:

                                Name: Hercules

                                Race: Super Human #95

                                Age: 22

                                Appearance: http://img.ifcdn.com/images/5461510d...d2809242_1.jpg

                                Personality:

Biography: Hercules was one oh the many super humans created in order to fight the psychics the government oh so despised. Unlike many of the other soldiers created. soldier 95 was a bit more experimental. They used a combination of biologic and cybernetic alterations. Most of his organs were reinforced or replaced with with bio mechanical ones that could handle the extra stress his body would put them under. His bones were made harder than most being made more out of carbon and less out of organic bone tissue. The bones themselves took months to build as each one needed to be able to create more platelets than what three normal human bones put together could do. It wasn't easy but they eventually got them working.

His muscles were highly condensed and made from a sort of bio muscle that was ounce for ounce about three times as strong as normal human muscle. But that wasn't enough. They also had artificial muscles tissues made with hydrogen lining various parts of his body to reinforce his strength.

Soldier 95 woke up for the first time in a small room full of computers. He was standing naked in some kind of tube filled with liquid oxygen. The scientists standing around him let him out shortly after. The story from there is the same as many. He was trained to be a killer and told that the psychics were an evil group who wanted only to harm others.
