Reagen thought of what Azeruk had said for a few moments. If they did use this method, it meant that they could more easily catch up to that man. On the other hand, it also meant that they had a chance of passing right past him. Would the benefits outweigh the benefits in this situation? "Alright, let's do it. We might leave a few gaps wach time where he could hide, but let's hope that everything goes well" Reagen said as he grabbed Sidna and Azeruk's hand. "Let's do it. Just give us a sign when you need to rest" he said.

"Got it.", Azeruk said before the trio disappeared in a flash of light.
Azeruk had never really used Light Steps in such a manner as this, but he did at least have experience in it after using it while dodging bandits. Because of him applying it in combat, Azeruk was more proficient than the average person and had better concentration for the task. It was all just a matter of repeating the process of sort-distance Light Stepping over and over again. Every time Azeruk stopped, he would stop for a good five seconds before Light Stepping again, covering more and more ground as they went. After performing his 15th Light Step, Azeruk stopped and quickly glanced around, hoping to spot their target.
"Do you guys see or hear him?", Azeruk whispered to Reagan and Sidna.
"Got it.", Azeruk said before the trio disappeared in a flash of light.

It all seemed like a blur, warp, look around, warp again, look around. It felt kind of like being dizzy, but at the same time not being dizzy. Each time they stopped, they all looked for any signs of that man. Footprints, broken branches, they even listened if they could hear any footsteps. They didn't find anything tough. Nothing at all. In the start they found a broken branch, but after that, it stopped. "Nothing here. Let's continue. Just say if you need to stop. We don't want to tire you out" Reagen said while at the same time looking for any signs. Once done he then took Azeruk's hand again as a sign doing the next light step.

Each time they stopped Azeruk had quickly looked over their surroundings, but even with his vigilance, they didn't seem any closer to finding the man SYSTEM was looking for. Of course, it wasn't like Azeruk minded. He was simply here for the ride, and if he looked on the bright side, at least he had the comfort of the night. After they stopped for the 37th Light Step, Reagan spoke to Azeruk, who simply gave a light smile at what Reagan said to him and spoke.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Let's keep going.", Azeruk calmly said as he performed the next series of Light Steps, propelling them deeper into the forest with each burst.
Each time they stopped Azeruk had quickly looked over their surroundings, but even with his vigilance, they didn't seem any closer to finding the man SYSTEM was looking for. Of course, it wasn't like Azeruk minded. He was simply here for the ride, and if he looked on the bright side, at least he had the comfort of the night. We haven't seen a single sign of them for a good time now. if my calculations are right, we should have traveled something around 2,5 km. There is no way that you can hold a speed like that on foot, in a forest like this, while being so tired from that use of magic. I mean, who can bring down a whole hovercraft so easily? Let's just admit it. We lost them. If she still want me to find them I'll take a tracker tomorrow and see if I can find them. Let's just go home for now and get some more sleep" Reagen said while sitting down on a stone. Sidna had already found a place to sit, like she did every time they stopped for a bit.

Azeruk was not very bothered by not finding the man. It simply meant that they didn't have to fight. Azeruk didn't know about the forest fire, but if the fire was taken care of, then he would go straight back home and sleep. Then again, he didn't even know if SYSTEM would be able to put out the fire. After all, he wasn't sure if they even had the magic, or the resources to do so. Azeruk wanted to make sure that he would go home to an intact house, so he decided to question Reagan about it.
"Do you think they'll put out the fire?", Azeruk asked Reagan as he took a seat on the ground.

Reagen didn't know exactly what magic SYSTEM had, but he knew that they probably had the resources to fix it. This wasn't their area, not yet at least. They had to keep their reputation up a bit so that conflict wouldn't brew over. Most likely they had some water mages that could put out the water. "I do believe that they have something. If they don't, then there will most likely be a war coming much sooner. Well then let's just get home. You should get some rest before the journey tomorrow Sinda" Reagen said. "You think you could transport us back to the village from here?" Reagen asked Azeruk as he grabbed his hand and motioned for Sidna to do the same.
Reagen didn't know exactly what magic SYSTEM had, but he knew that they probably had the resources to fix it. This wasn't their area, not yet at least. Azeruk was at least a little relieved that SYSTEM would put out the fire. After all, Azeruk's house was right within the fire's grasp, and if they didn't put it out, Azeruk would have nowhere to go. As Reagan and Sidna grabbed his hands, Azeruk looked over to Reagan and spoke.
"Sure. It shouldn't be too far from here.", Azeruk said, right before they all disappeared in a flash of light.

"Okay, we're here. Was tere anything else you needed?", Azeruk calmly asked Reagan.

With another flash, they were back to village. Just as how it had started. The difference was that now they had already hunted down Skari. Now they just had to try to find some sense out of this. There was only one more challenge. They had to actually get Skari to stay. "Tomorrow is going to big day, assuming that I can actually get a hold of Skari. Hope you're ready. There's no turning back now" he said. He didn't give any sign of if he said it to Sidna or Azeruk. He just threw it out there. He then began walking away towards his house. Just before he disappeared into the distance he said something to both of them. "I'll send a signal to her. If anything goes as planned, she'll be here a few hours after sunrise. I expect you to be ready." Neither this time did he make is certain who he was talking to.
After he had disappeared from sight, Sidna turned towards Azeruk. "Thanks for today. I really mean it. It was so fun" she said with a smile. This probably the first time that Azeruk had seen her smile. Not many did. Right after that she ran towards her house and out of sight.

He usually had a chaotic life, due to what he had to face, but today was quite a bit different. Instead of bandits, it was a highly technologically advanced group of people and a strange man they were trying to hunt down. At least he didn't get attacked today. Now all Azeruk had to do was go home and go to sleep. He still had yet to decide whether to follow Reagan and Sidna or stay home and continue his daily life. To be honest, Jason didn't know what to do. Perhaps leaving town would be good for him, or perhaps leaving would get him killed. Either way, Jason had some thinking to do before going to sleep. With that in mind, Jason looked over in the direction of his house, and in a flash of light, he was gone.
