We've used visions to sort of introduced characters.

I used quotes from the Halo franchise and made a sort of dream sequence where everything was black and the quotes echoed through John's head.

In the end, you are the master of your fate, not us. (Oh my, how overly dramatic of me.:p)

Even though this is from Endgame, not really spoilerish.

Note: If you read through the script, there's parts that change if Robin is Male or Female.

'You still DARE resist ME?!' script

@Cucoo

It could work.

The only time I would recommend using videos would be if it was a flashback, or memory.

Text sequences are much more flexible and can be altered to fit your needs.

@Kristia

Later.

I could use either, such as converting the video to text.
I just need to know if I did the video's scenario who or what to use in place of Validar and Chrom.
For the other I'd use it as is and make it go like so at the end:

Robin: Ugh
- opens eyes
Robin: ...! Wait, no!
- gets up and looks around.
Robin: Chrom? CHROM!!
- panic starts to set in
Robin: Chrom! Lissa! NOOO!
- falls to his knees, and looks to his hands
Robin: I...what happened??? Did I...? No...it has to be a trick! The others need me! I... have to...
- goes limp and stares off into the distance.
Robin: This...can't...
- looks at his surroundings slowly, his eyes still wide. As he takes in his new environment, realization slowly seeps in.
Robin: Everyone...forgive me...
- closes eyes and feels the breeze rustle his cloak gently. His mind slowly worked on his current situation...

...Would this do or do I need to write it in traditional prose instead of script?

I would say traditional prose.

That's the normal format here.

It tends to flow more easily and prevents the story from taking sudden changes in structure.

What are you trying to do with Validar and Chrom?

If I did do the video opening's "structure" (battle with bad guy, ally gets pushed from danger, Robin sacrifices himself in a sense etc.) I would replace Validar and Chrom with a respective character we have or planning on having for the two roles.

...and traditional prose, oh dear this will take a bit of time then.
