- Yuuka is trapped in her own mind. Now only her thirst for blood controls Yuuka's physical body. Otherwise known as Dark Ex-Mode. John is around Yuuka, trying to put her back to her own sane self.
- Renamon is transferring her power to her companions in battle.
- Aqua is running circles around Apple.
- X is in battle with Sentinel.
- Komachi, Otori, and Yamada is inside the reality-warped building with a mysterious agent named Hank.
[Mima subquest]
- Suika, Yuugi, and Iku joins the party temporarily... or is it?
- En route to Osaka.
- Encounters an old fisherman who warns the party to not go to Osaka... this fisherman will come to an important role later.
[Pentagon subquest]
- Nitori stabs herself with a giant warhead to prevent Zero from harming himself.
- Mr. Johanssen goes WTF
[France subquest]
- Katarina takes Raven to the home of her, Fiora, and Talon. Epic game of darts ensued.
- The Spy pursues Remilia Scarlet into the Netherlands.

Oh yeah, Hank's quite the badass.
Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.
