    "Can you guess my answer?" The Higher Power asked.


    Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

    You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

      John opened up the Higher Power's profile and quickly scanned through.

      "Your profile says that you mainly use him for entertainment. You like Earthly conflict.", John replied.

          The Higher power was right for the most part. Whenever the world became populated with characters, some sites became protected and used for either tracking or law enforcement. Normal humans needed an edge against the virtual criminals. Unfortunately, some sites weren't protected and remained a place of unrestricted editing, due to the fact that some Characters didn't reveal themselves until much later.

          John was interested by the Higher Power's words.

          (He said that he likes to act instead of watch... Perhaps we can work together.)

          "Would you like to save the Earth from an alien race that wants to extract the Earth's core and assimilate all living beings into their army?", John asked the Higher Power.

                            "He took off. He's not hostile. He's cautious of us, though."

                            "I see. It was hopeless."

                            "It was worth a shot, Volgin."

                            "... There are a lot of things that are 'worth a shot.' But are they usually worth a shot?"

                            Volgin... Seemed different. I walked up to him, turned him around by the shoulder, and looked him in the eyes.

                            "Volgin... What happened?"

                            Volgin was silent for a moment.

                            "... Come."

                            Volgin walked forward and I followed him. He stopped. In front of him... Was a messed up humanoid robot.

                            "This is what happens when you think that something is worth a shot. I was foolish. I should have done with the ransom, but I got cocky. I blew a good chance and this happens. Do you understand now?"

                            I knew what happened by what Volgin said earlier, but to see the result...

                            "Be careful with your actions Snake. Or else something like this happens."

                              "John, can you get me my wheelchair?", Huey asked John.

                              John looked over and nodded, not talking, but still obliging to Huey's request.

                              "I'll carry you. It would take a longer amount of time to grab it and come back here.", John said as he easily lifted the 300 pound robot over his shoulder as if it weighed less than 10 pounds.

                              Jason saw his opportunity and sprinted towards the resort.

                              (I have to tell Yukari, Rumia, and Yuuka about John. Sorry Huey, but I'll need your laptop.)

                              Eventually, Jason made his way to the resort.

                              He ran over to Huey's laptop, grabbed it, and then headed over to Rumia.

                              "Excuse me, but are you Yukari, Rumia, or Yuuka?", Jason asked.

                                A good hour or so has passed and Alia had propped Zero over her shoulder. "I will have to go to my lab at my place. I need to finish the repairs. I could get him repaired in a day or so, but if I had someone to help I'm sure I can get him back to working condition in just a few hours." Said Alia as she heads to the door.

                                X had left the resort and had been sitting down in the sand looking on out at the ocean.

                                Axl had fallen unconscious due to the pain.

                                Phantom had watched the scene unfold. He could detect the power of the Chaos Emerald. "The power within that gem is exactly what the hedgehog says it is... I could also detect a strong power coming from the hedgehog as well..." Said Phantom as he closes his eyes.

                                It had been a long time since Gate had been unconscious. Finally after sometime Gate wakes up. "Oh god... what happened?..." Said a still injured Gate. Gate looks around the Chrysalis and notices that Snake, Vergil, and the others are also in it as well. Quickly Gate jumps back in fear. "What are they doing here!?" Yelled Gate as he turns to Volgin.
