Otori heard something in the distance.

"... Y!... OU TWO!... , YOU! TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!"

He turned to the man with a straight face.

"Hmm... well, how do I put this... the inn burnt, and I have no idea why, the village is burnt and I have no idea why, and there is nothing but dirt here because of me."

"Me? My name's Phenom. Phenom Ortus. If Tyruss's men were here recently... could you tell me what direction they were headed? I assume they're the reason this place is burnt to the ground..."

He studied the town briefly before looking back at the one who answered him.

"Looks like this is the work of a fire mage.... Perhaps... Was General Vohr in the vicinity recently? He and I have a small score to settle."

Otori put one hand in his pocket and the other on his chin.

"Hmm... nope, no one by that name that I recognize. But there were two people here, and one of them I couldn't get a good read on what her power is, but maybe that's who did the burning. That, or it was a psychotic fire mage working with us."

Otori looked for the capsule. The capsule was meant to contain the wind bomb, so the explosion itself would only do so much in comparison.

Jason heard what Otori said and quickly countered.

"Actually, my friend didn't cause the fire. It was a wind mage. She tried to set us up, but I told the crowd that we were part of some anti-Tyruss group. Well, technically we are, but it was just my friend and I. Anyway, the wind mage escaped in a puff of smoke and Otori was knocked out by his own strain. We are now headed into the forest to capture or destroy my family's Titanium mines. You can come if you want, but we have to hurry.", Jason said to Phenom as he turned away.

Jason then turned back and spoke.

"By the way, if you do follow us, you should say so now. I have to know one thing first though. Are you afraid of heights?"

(I'm a little busy right now, so any posts I make will be short :V)

Phenom threw his hands up behind his head and chuckled.

"Bitch, I practically flew here. Or rather... as much flying as a speed mage can accomplish. I'm not so sure I'll be following you, however. I was headed to Adhibe, East-southeast of here. Where are you headed?"

Jason smirked, then spoke.

"So I was right you are a speed mage. It's not very often I get to see other ones.", Jason said.

Jason then switched his demeanor to a slightly more serious one and spoke again.

"We're going into the Everbloom Forest to destroy some Titanium mines that Tyruss is using. I believe he's going to use them to create Titanium weapons and armor for his army. Our friend already went ahead, but we'll meet before she attacks.

"And as for me," Otori said, "I'm just here to hunt someone. I want to bring him back home. And if you have his head, I'll have yours. Simple as that. Now then... time to move."

He walked off, but then stopped. He turned around looking confused.

"Um... which way?"

Kalkun

"W-wait a minute friend," chattered a villager as they tried in vain to make sense of whatever the village had gone through. "Do you have any medical supplies? Potions? Anything?"

"Sure thing," Eric grunted as he tightened the straps on his pack mule's luggage. He glanced back at the villager. "As long as you're paying."

"Pay? We just g-"

But Eric was already moving away from the inn and the villagers with his mule in tow. The town was such a mess that it was no longer fit for a merchant. He had so little supplies that could combat fire and heal the dead, so why bother staying to investigate? The events had nothing to do with him. In fact, they were all so random and unwarranted that it made Eric's head spin. One minute there was a fire, the next there were a few deaths from psychos, and then there was a high speed chase. Fruitless, but idiotic.

The gravel crunched under his boots as the merchant took the southern path out of the town. He counted himself lucky to be alive, and even more so, lucky that he was ignored for the most part. A merchant was a prime candidate for ransacking in a chaotic situation. Perhaps he just looked like any other villager; easily pushed and shoved aside. The realization did not bother Eric in the slightest. He was no warrior, no problem solver. All he did was supply people with goods and equipment. It wasn't a poor existence at all if it kept him alive.

Bob lazily chewed on a carrot that Eric held out to him. It was good that the mule was unharmed in the ruckus, and thanks to his dim-witted demeanor, it seemed that the animal was not bothered at all by the sheer amounts of crazy that had just been dumped on Aeterna. Eric sighed and looked to the east. So far, his travels were not as fruitless as he imagined. He got 100 gold and a bronze medallion, free food and board, and a warm welcome to the morning. Now, the Everbloom Forest and its bounty awaited him, and damned would Eric be if he turned down its call. He readjusted his pack and quickened his step.

"Um... which way?", Otori asked as he tried to find where the forest was.

Jason pointed to the south-east and spoke.

"There. The Everbloom forest is in the south-east. We should probably get going soon, or else Seki's going to be fighting alone.", Jason said to Otori.

Jason knelt down on one knee in front of Otori and held his arm out to the side, in the shape of an upward hook.

"Well? Go on and lay on my shoulder. We're taking the fast way to the forest.", Jason said in a slightly impatient tone.

Jason wanted to hurry and meet up with Seki as soon as possible. It was mainly so he could either build things for his new partners, or work on something for himself.

Otori wasn't used to this kind of thing. He hesitated.

"Um... Well, I guess it couldn't hurt. But remember I'm a wind mage as well, if that giant wind sphere didn't convince you." He said with a chuckle. "Bu then again, being a balanced, that wind sphere too a lot out of me."

He finally found the capsule.

"I don't know what this is made of. But a good friend of mine gave it to me. It can store air pressure and other explosive chemicals. It can really hold together well."

Otori didn't realize it, but it was actually made of titanium, manufactured by the company Jason's dad used to work for.
