Hearing Phenomīs question made the huntress smile "In my travels around Aetherna I wandered into the many misteries of the virtual world, some temples with scrapped ideas left behind, skyscrappering lands hidden on mountainīs and oasis way hidden like this place, the first time I got here was because I was running from some bandits and got lost, Iīll be honest, I was in that darkness for a week, surviving from the flora and fauna that I could catch, and with time I adapted to the creatures of it."

Kris then looked at the cavern, such a beautiful sighting indeed "Soon I found that pit of flesh eating moles and fell accidentally thanks to a rock that cracked and grasped the hole, then I found this place and thought that no one could reach this place without the proper skills and tools, but let me tell you that here we are only guests of the creatures of this place, no territory claiming" she explained

"If we need food, there are some vegetables on that patch of soil or we can fish in on the lake"

Then Kris prepared to treat Seki "Ok, Iīll need you two to gather some herbs for me, you will notice them easily, they are red glowing petals that are scattered on the lakeīs shore after that, Iīll need your speed magic to crush the petals into dust of them, then Iīll take care of what is next" she said taking of her arm braces and gloves

Jason turned his attention away from the scenery outside the window and turned to Kristia.

"Okay. I'll be back.", Jason said as he left the house.

Once he exited the building, Jason used his speed magic to dash to the lake's shore. Once he got there, Jason began to look for the flower petals that Kris requested. After a minute or two, Jason finally found a couple of flowers and collected the red glowing petals.

(Ok. That should do...), Jason thought to himself as he used his speed magic to quickly return to the house.

"I'm back!", Jason called out as he entered the house.

Jason then put the red glowing flower petals on the table and began to search for a mortar and pestle.

        Cavern outpost
The huntress thanked Jason as she took the perals and crushed them with the mortar and pestle, then she mixed the red dust with some purified water she had stored into a small vial.

Kris wass already working on the flame magician using her ice magic to coat a knife with ice, she lifted Sekiīs shirt and put the knife close to the girlīs chest"Ok Seki, I know this will hurt, but I will have to do it" she said starting to make a small slice on the skin with extreme care and precision. With time , the cut revealed the vivid flesh of the girl.

The huntress didnīt hesitate and started using some herbsī juice to ease the pain in the girlīs skin as she started making a small opening close to the heart. "Allright, this will be the critical part, just relax" she mumbled to the girl as she took the red liquid. In a moment Kris sliced open the heart and poured the red potion into the fire magicianīs heart and quickly sealed the wound with her ice coating, making a small scar on it.

Kris was swating with tension and strain as she was made the same process with Sekiīs lungs "And it is done.. phew no scars at all in the end, she will only need some rest for now, the herb has burn healing properties and since it is now in her blood and air system, it will do the job and heal her internal organs" she explained exhausted while seating on a chair

Jason saw the whole procedure, but was confused.

"Wait. But I thought that I healed everything.", Jason said to Kris in a confused tone.

He then began to come up with a theory. His theory was that perhaps he was only able to heal a certain amount of damage in a small amount of time.

"It looks like I'll need to work on that...", Jason mumbled to himself as he looked at his hand.

(The question is, how am I going to train? I don't really like the idea of cutting myself and healing the wound over and over again...)

Kris heard the miner boyīs sentences and straightened herself on the chair "Magic does do itīs job, but it is imperfect, just take for example Sekiīs fire magic and what it did for her body. There may be great magic abilities, but nature has beaten everything and it is the root for everything too, the usage of magic must have come from something" she said and went on

"The stories of fairies, goddesses and gods, they all have magic, but what about their roots? Diane the godess of the hunt used the moonīs power to revitalize her body and to purify the lands. Thor had the power of thunder to vaporize his enemies with storms. All the magic comes from natureīs elements and we are yet way behind to fully understand it" she said taking of her upper armor and staying only in her shirt

22But what about the non magical users? they had to rely on something to balance with the mages and witches, thatīs when the human instinct arise, we gathered medicine from different herbs and could create light with fire and all the way to modern technology, but all of this comes from the same roots as magic. Nature.

It was very unfortunate, but soon after Kris started operating, Seki finally woke up. The pain of being cut in such a sensitive area was overwhelming. (Not to mention awkward) Seki immediately started to freak out and would have been literally spitting fire had her mana not been drained. Luckily for Kris, she didn’t awaken until right as she was pouring the potion into her blood stream. Seki had began kicking and screaming but it haulted once the potion made contact with her body. The burn damage was starting to fade. Seki was able to relax now and stop squirming around long enough for the huntress to finish operating. Something about the huntress seemed to make Seki abnormally calm.

Once the huntress was finally finished Seki quickly coressed her arms and covered up her chest so no one could cut her open again. She was understandably paranoid after waking up to such sight. “Eh.. It’s you agaim…” Seki mumbled in a slightly confused tone “… hehehe.. I MADE A BIG FIRE BALL!!! Eh maybe making one the size of a large mineshaft wasn’t a good idea huh?”

(My magic's roots...), Jason thought to himself as he continued to look at his hand.

… hehehe.. I MADE A BIG FIRE BALL!!! Eh maybe making one the size of a large mineshaft wasn’t a good idea huh?”, Seki said.

Jason turned his head over to Seki, walked over, and sighed in relief.

"No. No it wasn't. Just promise me that you won't do that unless there is absolutely, positively, no hope to survive the situation.", Jason said in a slightly stern tone.

                He paused, then spoke again.

"That being said, I'm glad you're okay. I suppose someone's gotta confuse the ever-living hell out of me every once in a while.", Jason jokingly said in a calmer tone, a tone of relief.

Seki’s attention was quickly redirected over to Jason who was the first to respond to her comment about the large fire ball. He scolded her about safety. The entire time he spoke Seki wore a childish grin on her lips, and once he was finished speaking she blurted out. “You saw my chest just now didn’t you?”

Kris noticed the girl was about to cause a confusion in Jason she looked at her "Good to see you are back phoenix girl you made a great firecracker in the mines, just rest for a bit as you just got healed, ok?" she smiled resting on her chair and the looked at Jason "You also need some rest, you can take the bed if you want to, Iīll finish some stuff here" with that Kris stretched her limbs getting up.

Taking her time, the huntress started to work on the care of her weapons, sharpening both her ebony sword and dagger, replacing her bowīs string and putting a new one, preparing more arrows and sharpening them with the other ones in her quiver. Soon her equipment was finished and she went outside for some fruits and water to store them in the inventory stash

As soon as Seki's words reached Jason's ears, his facial expressions quickly turned from relief, to one of shock and embarrassment.

His face turned red as his eyes darted across the room, trying to find anything to look at, other than the person he was talking to. It was almost as if time was slowing down, only that Jason wasn't using his speed magic.
This phenomenon only served to extend Jason's suffering.

"I-ah-uh-well I-I wasn't really focused on 'that'. I was more concerned about your well-being.", Jason said as he stumbled over his own words.

"Anyway, I-I'm going to go.. do something. Exploring. Go get rest.", Jason said as he quickly turned and began to walk out of the room.

                        Kris's Outpost - 9:27 AM

Phenom's face went straight to his palm when he heard Seki's accusation of Jason seeing her chest. The hand was promptly dragged down his face in disappointment in the girl's attention span.

"You know, kid, seeing your chest is a little bit less important than your health! What would you do if you got stuck in the Void, huh? Would you rather we let you die or see your chest?" He called out. He fiddled with the pommel of his broad sword for a moment. He decided it would be good to get a custom made sword of his own from a blacksmith somewhere instead of using this lifted equipment.

"In any case, welcome back to the world of the living, Board." He said, the last bit under his breath so nobody could hear.

Jason’s reaction had Seki onher back laughing to the point her chest was starting to hurt again. The speed of her chest rising and falling so quickly was trying to slowly open the wound but it wasn’t enough to reopen it to the point she would need more medical attention. It was obvious she hadn’t heard a word Phenom had said the entire time he was face palming. Seki finally stopped the moment she cought wind of Phenom’s sent. Sniff sniff… “Oh! You’ve almost killed as many people as I have!”

((I said almost as many because in the forest Phenom said he didn’t rebel by simply slaughtering the enemy or at least not all the time. Originally I was going to post that he had killed more than Seki but that would contradict what he said before))

Before completely leaving the room, he spun around and spoke again.

"Tha-that's not funny. I do not like being put in the spotlight li-like that.", Jason said as he frowned.

He then took his leave and went into the other room.

(That's bullsh*t! I was only concerned for her well-being and she had to twist it into something COMPLETELY different! That sh*t's not funny!... Oh well. She's fine, and that's all that matters. In the meantime, I need to clean my weapons. They look like they just went through one of those slasher films.)

Jason walked outside and sat cross-legged near the doorway. He then pulled out his knives and opened up the blades. Using his speed magic, Jason increased the vibration of the blood's molecules, causing them to shake and destabilize the blood. Soon, the blood began to crack and fall off of the blades, revealing the shiny super-condensed Titanium Alloy underneath.

(Beautiful.), Jason thought to himself as he looked at the metal's shine.

He then put away his knives and began to work on his Chainsword. This was more difficult, due to all the moving parts and the size of the weapon. Jason first started with the large blade bolted onto the weapon, then worked his way to the chain, causing all the blood in between both parts to crumble and fall away. Once that was finished, Jason opened up the weapon and began to clean out the gears. For this, he sped himself up and did the job very quickly, taking each gear out of place and returning it to it's bright, silvery condition. He then reassembled the Chainsword and inspected it for any crimson he might have missed. Once he was completely finished, Jason put it away and decided to sit there.

Jason leaned back and began to admire the beauty of the cave he was in.

After that, the huntress took some robes and said to Seki "Im taking a bath, you can join me in the springwaters if you want to Seki" she said and walked to out of the outpost to go for a bath, but just in case took her sword with her.
