Lucky for you. You discovered Flandre the good way. I discovered her the bad way! Here is the very video that lead me down that path.

Yes. THAT video with THOSE things. Don't ask how or why but I was extremely curious at the time. One way or another, I discovered her from this and I've loved her ever since.

This is what helped me get introduced to Touhou. I can't remember exactly what the first thing that got me introduced to the franchise was, but I do remember this was one of the first things I seen involving Touhou.

I saw those two shortly after the abomination that was my first experience of Flandre. My actual firstie was a perfect redrawing of the ever famous Bad Apple!! video on Flipnote Hatena (not sure if any of you remember it). But that was a couple of years before I got into Touhou.
