    New Genesis: Dimensional Requiem (IC)

    Welcome!

Welcome to the IC or "In Character" thread for New Genesis: Dimensional Requiem. Here is where obviously, the ACTUAL Roleplaying happens. So if you applied in the OOC with a character app, the app got accepted, then come here and start roleplaying.

Also for any of you who are lazy. Here is a link to the OOC:

    https://yukkuricraft.net/showthread....uiem-%28OOC%29

    Rules:

1: Every standard RP Rule from other RP's such as being respectful, no taking control of other people's characters without permission, no godmodding, no powergaming, and have fun.

2: Please try to not make your character as overpowered as possible. Though feel free to try and be as creative as possible. Especially with locations and abilities, and weapons.

3: Be creative and since we don't have any characters in EXCELSIOR who are of a high enough rank, I'll allow people to make EXCELSIOR faction characters with a max rank of Hunter. Which is the third rank in it. Though pref you are a scout.

4: I'll allow ecchi stuff to the same extent that Wriggle allows in Bad Omen. This best describes it:
"No, there won’t be full on ero scenes, because that’s not humor. That’s porn.

This includes character applications as well. Pictures that you normally won’t see being used in an RP can and will be used. Biographies (from my characters at least) will be either delightfully risque or sick and twisted. There will be some questionable traits and rather vivid description of character’s appearance."

5: An App can be accepted by Tewi, S1, Wriggle, or myself.

6: PLEASE NOTE. Just because I may have said that if you chose EXCELSIOR, you HAVE to have your character be of Rookie, Scout, or Hunter rank. I WILL allow people to make characters of higher ranks, even Captain and Commander. The two HIGHEST rankings in EXCELSIOR. But ONLY IF YOU ASK!! That's because we do not have much good characters or 'NPC's' of sorts to help push the story along. In fact I WILL MAKE AN NPC APP for this reason.

    "Attention!"

At the command, the soldiers stood still. Every personnel not embarked on the mission were required to attend the event, from the newest rookies to the most veteran commanders. The solemn faces on the soldiers' faces said that they knew what the assembly was about, and the identity of the figure approaching the podium confirmed their suspicions.

Commander Octavius Wehrman stepped up to the microphone with somber face. His military uniform was adorned in almost entirely black, and his usual spear that he carries as a cane was replaced with a more ceremonial one made of ivory and polished brass. His usual stern, strong gaze was absent; only that of regret and despair.

"Soldiers of EXCELSIOR. I bring to you a terrible news." Octavius started, his voice almost choked with tears. "Captain Selena Wehrman... my daughter... has been considered Missing In Action."

"Yesterday, at 4:02 PM, Captain Wehrman requested a mission to take place in the Drifter infested territory of a formal human settlement of Chateau. As Chateau was close to our vanguard position, we approved her mission and sent her into the heart of Chateau. Her objective was to clear a sufficient area for the next squad to take control of the entire city. However, on 7:55 PM, we have lost contact with the agent. Further investigations about her whereabouts have failed, and the EXCELSIOR has labeled her MIA. It would be no surprise to discover that she is... dead."

Commander Octavius declined his head for a few seconds before looking back up. "It is a very unfortunate news to find that one of our best men may have perished on the battlefield. However, know that my daughter's... Captain Wehrman's death was a byproduct of her endless courage to face whatever threatens humanity: the same courage that every one of us needs to defeat the Drifter menace."

    "You are all dismissed."

Lux is wondering why an assemble was called while she stands towards the back of the crowd. Lux didn't read entirely of what it was about but when Commander Wehrman spoke about his daughter gone MIA, Lux was surprised and her eyes widened. "Captian Wehrman is missing? There's no way she has gone missing, her skills are good." Lux talked to herself. Commander Wehrman then dismissed everyone. "I wonder if a search team will be sent?" She asks herself with her right hand on her chin.
"No matter how strong or what power the enemy has, I will fight and protect my friends, even if it cost me my life to protect them. I will fight until I die to ensure their future."

Up on the stage where the podium was, stood not just Commander Octavius, but also some of the other recognizable commander's and some of the Captain's. With all the commander's closer to Octavius, and the Captain's farther out. Yet they all stood side-by-side, and in a really upright pose. A pose worthy of a soldier. As the announcement ended, one of the Captain's, Captain Drake turned to face Octavius as he began to walk away from the podium and right past Drake. When Octavius walked past him, Drake who was dressed in his familiar gasmask and jacket reached out as he was about to say something. After all Drake had worked under his daughter's command.

Deep down Drake really wanted to say SOMETHING to the Commander, but just couldn't find the words. As such he just sighed and scratched the back of his head as he hopped down off the stage and began walking into the crowd. Compared to the other agents, he was standing out due to his outfit. For the others were not dressed in such garb. Most were dressed in their own uniforms, while others were dressed in rather casual clothing or their armor. Drake's plain jacket, pants, boots, and gasmask was really plain compared to the others.

Not only that but he was one of the few captains just casually walking through the large crowd of agents as everyone began to go off on their own.

        Old Citadel - Streets

Meanwhile on the streets of Old Citadel, a young lad dressed in a black shirt, black pants, red handkerchief around his neck, black socks, and a white labcoat ran through the streets as he carried a bag of groceries he had managed to get through the local market. It's not the best quality of food, but it's enough to get by. In fact most of the food he had in the bag was just some snack cakes and... nicely wrapped raw fish.

The most distinctive features about this man other than his labcoat was his cat ears and black cat tail poking out of his pants. The young man looked like he was in a hurry as he entered a lone building... the building was old, and empty as he went through it. It was clear it wasn't used in quite a long while. After entering the building he closed and locked the door behind him as he then made his way to the basement. Entering the basement he walked up to a wall and opened a small hidden panel in a corner of the room. It revealed a keypad of which he immediately punched in the code '3923' which after putting in the code, a hidden door camouflaged into the wall opened up, leading to a room. Immediately the young lad ran into the secret room and the door and panel closed. Thus looking like any ordinary part of the wall.

Shortly after the young man finally made it to his rather secretive, yet dump of a hideout. He had a vent system set up, a fridge in one corner of the room, a rather large and bulky computer, and a beanbag chair right in front of said computer. Finally home the young lad let out a sigh of relief as he walked up to the fridge where he put his groceries in.

"Ah finally. Home... uh.. sweet Home. Now... Time to check what's going on throughout the city." He said as he sat in his beanbag chair before turning on the computer. When he turned it on, several small security cameras that he had hidden around the city turned on. The young man then began looking through ALL the camera feeds he had.

This young man... was Andrew. Infamous 'mystery hacker' that has been targeted by EXCELSIOR, yet whose identity is not yet known.

          Old Citadel

For one fellow, Old Citadel was a nice place. Which was frankly quite strange considering it's dilapidated state and quite seedy nature of what remained. For Koishi Komeiji, it was nice for a few things. One was the fact that people didn't try to get in her way. Two was there being some nice nooks to sleep in.

Three, and by far the largest of the reasons was the ruins themselves. Namely how fun they were to scale. As what he was doing the the current moment, casually dangling off what appeared to be at least a 40 foot drop. The ruined towers were a nice perch. Nobody in their right mind would even attempt to climb them, but unlike them, Koishi was in more of left mind mood today.

She looked down at the ruins below, before feeling along the metal siding for more grooves to grip. Upon looking to said side, she noticed a little thing. A camera, perched along the side, looking over the town. She moved over to it with ease, looking into it, tapping the glass.

"Ooo. I wonder if anyone's watchin'." Koishi asked herself. "Ah well. More climbin' to do, I guess."

She shot out a tendril from her sleeve, latching on to the top of the tower a little above her, pulling herself up like it was some kind of grappling hook, finishing with a little jig.

"Ah, almost beat my record." she continued. "Distractin' cameras."

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

            Old Citadel - Andrew's Hideout

As Andrew was flipping through the dozens of security camera feeds, he was absolutely stunned when he saw it. A young girl with a black hat, weird colored hair, and a curious look as she peered into the camera. This was absolutely jawdropping as he saw what happened. The girl looked like a rather ordinarily creepy girl... the main thing about this that stunned him was when he checked the location of where the camera was.

"What Camera is that!? It's... It's... Camera 43!? But that's too high up! How on earth could anyone get to it!?" He spoke to himself as he began to go into a panic as he quickly began looking through various other camera feeds located near the one that Koishi was at.

Koishi sat on the edge of the tower, as it creaked and groaned, rusty supports threatening to bend, yet they did not fully go. She gazed over the expanse of the city and off into the distance, where Beacon stood, a shining opposite to the old ruins.

Another camera stood high on the pole at the top, gazing low enough to see Koishi's upper half as her feet rocked back and forth.

"Ah well." Koishi got up, dusting off her skirt. "No day like today, I guess."

She turned a little, spotting the camera. She smiled and waved a little at it.

"Cya, camera." Koishi replied to it, as it stared, un-judging as always.

And with that, she jumped straight off the tower, body tensed and ready for what she was was about to do next as the wind greeted her with it's howl of defiance.

As Andrew watched the girl through one security camera feed, he was already going through the other camera feeds near Koishi's area on his laptop which he had quickly booted up. It didn't take long for him to find some others in the area which turned their attention to Koishi. Of whom was now jumping off the tower before waving at the camera while saying bye to it.

Her behavior was definitely odd... in fact Andrew thought for a moment that she was aware of him when she waved right at the camera. This had scared him a bit as he then watched her jump off the tower... Her actions were truly shocking as he went into a frenzy trying to watch her from other nearby security cameras to try and watch and see if she'll be able to make it down alright.

"Who the hell is this girl!?"

Her body tensed in free-fall, her hat, for some reason or another stayed right where it was, defying physics casually as Koishi turned towards the tower.

Another tendril shot out, impacting and making a hole in it's rusty walls. Then, she pulled, the tendril retracting as it did so, giving her a boost vertically as she lined up another shot even lower, using the tendrils as a swinging-rope, getting lower and lower until she reached the ground, performing a roll to slow herself. She dusted herself off afterward, rolling her neck a little. "Hey, no tears!"

She looked quite satisfied at herself, unaware of the camera a little bit above her.

Andrew continued to watch the girl fall from the tower in both fear, and curiosity. Was he about to watch a suicide? I mean he has seen a lot of ugly stuff happen around the city such as murders, robbery, suicides, among other more... dark topics. Due to the stuff he's seen he had become somewhat numb to such things happening around the city. However such a cheery, innocent, if not... adorable looking girl suddenly jumping off the tower did make Andrew actually worry a bit... This fear and worry had disappeared however the second Andrew saw what happened next. The girl had summoned another tendril... and another... and another until she finally got down to safety. The way she pulled that little stunt off was... intriguing to Andrew. It actually made him want to watch her a little more. So he turned his security cameras, each one near the girl to begin tracking this 'intriguing specimen.'

Koishi, finishing dusting herself off began to merrily skip forth. She didn't precisely know where she was going, though it didn't matter. he knew for a fact that this part of the ruins was almost completely desolate, though the same could be said for a good portion of the surface in Old Citadel. However, nooks and crannies abound were hard to chart, winding pathways collapsed and uncollapsed made it a ncie place for wanderin'.

She went on for a while, up and down the various almost tunnel-like pathways, ramshackle roof overhead. Then, a she went on, she noticed something. The cameras were usually still, however they were moving, tracking. She moved a little erratically to check, and from what it seemed, they were locked onto her. So, she continued, but wabbed to the cameras as he passed by them.

"Hiya cameras! Nice day, isn't it? Must be pretty borin' around here with nothin' to watch." Koishi said to the cameras, knowing full well they wouldn't respond.

She asks him saluting. "My name is Lux, Scout class. I have been with your daughter on a few missions before. I request permission to be on a S&R team for Captian Wehrman sir." She spoke still saluting.

As Drake was about to leave the room completely, he noticed one of the scouts running over for Commander Wehrman. Curious, Drake followed the girl and listened to her plea and question to be on a S&R mission for Selena... something... that he could have sworn was done recently already... and he was a part of. Hearing this he sighed and tapped Lux on the shoulder quickly before speaking.

"Hey. Leave the Commander be for a bit. He's had a rough time lately and could use a small break. Besides I thought a Search and Rescue team was already conducted not too logn ago. Mainly because I was a part of it." Drake replied as he then began standing with arms crossed, but in a way to emphasize the badge on his jacket indicating he's a captain.

"It may have only been a day since we lost her, but that search and rescue team was really fast and went down south really quickly. I was an ELITE Hunter before today. I became a captain not just through skill, but because survive with... injuries when only one other officer made it out alive. I don't think a... cadet can handle such a task." He finished, with his usual jerkass act towards Lux.

Lux turned to see that a guy with a gas mask was talking to her and mentioned about an S&R team sent before. "With all do respect sir but labeling her MIA or even KIA with only a short time without contact is too quick. Things change every second and I have seen her skills first hand and there's a great chance that she is still alive. Ever thought that maybe her radio was destroyed or someone interferring with transmissions? And without her body found, it's too early to call her KIA so even without permission, I'm going to search. Good day sir." Lux said and saluted both of them and is about to leave the hall.

"Now now, do not dismiss your higher-up like that, soldier." Commander Octavius halted Lux's progress. Normally, such a rude behavior from a lesser officer was a punishable offense, but Octavius wasn't up for punishing someone at this grim hour. "I know you. You worked in my daughter's battalion, didn't you? I understand your frustration more than anyone, soldier, but I find it pointless to send out another search team without much evidence that she may be alive. We won't be sending out another search team without another Commander's approval. That is all."
