    Military owned backroad in California

The lone soldier just kept his gun aimed at Jason... but when Jason said what he said he lowered his aim for a second as if thinking. 'Yeah... I can't take this guy on...' However a second later he stopped shaking and held his rifle and aimed it at Jason with a strange look of determination.

The look in the soldiers eye behind his helmet showed fear... Deep down this soldier was absolutely terrified of Jason, but he couldn't back down. Part of it was for his own pride and feeling of self worth. He felt like he had to do this. The man aimed the AK-47 he was wielding at Jason. The good ol' AK... a bit of an older weapon, but it's reliability was often something that many soldiers still preferred to this day. The man's face showed a sense of calmness... but his eyes still showed fear.

      Roads of California

Of course things wouldn't be easy to deal with as the telltale signs of combat could be seen from afar, Sara already had her weapons loaded while Sam went behind the truck, the sound of clothing being changed could be heard. "It seems that our job lost any kind of stealth, but we still have the element of surprise." the blonde spoke as she pressed the pedal of the vehicle.

On the back, Samantha was already in her battlesuit and had both revolvers ready. "Then we go all in, the vehicle is disposable, so ram the resistance."

Lynchwood smirked, while the first option was a good plan, going guns blazing was also effective and even could give them more effect to the people. The speedometer's marker was arching its way to the more dangerous speed, with the engine going hotter and stronger.

If there were people on the battle zone, they would soon see a truck going at dangerous speed, with no intention of stopping at all.

Jason seemed to tilt his head to the side just a little as he quickly contemplated what to do, and once he had made his mind, a smile flashed across his face.

        "Very well. Your choice."

Immediately after, Jason dashed towards the man, zig-zagging to avoid gunfire as he fired a hail of bullets at the man's gun and arms, attempting to disable the man.

At the same time that Jason had fired his barrage of bullets at the soldier, the soldier also fired his own burst... however he was only able to fire a very short of 5-6 bullets before Jason's gunfire struck the soldier in the arm, gun, and even the torso. The soldier screamed in pain as the gun was knocked out of his hand and severely damaged. Afterwards the soldier screamed in pain as he staggered back from getting shot before falling to his knees...

The trailer of the truck that Jason was in became quiet... in fact things were seeming to become far more quiet than before as whoever attacked this Military convoy seemed to have finished. There were still the sounds of some gunfire, and that tank one of the mystery super soldiers had hijacked still riding around to keep the area secure... Jason was now alone with the one thing he has been wanting. His armor. Now he just needs to get the capsule containing his armor open...

Meanwhile outside the trailer, as the superhumans who had attacked the military convoy had finished up with their 'clean up', the driver of the hijacked tank finally stopped after one or two more rounds of making sure noone was left. The hatch on the top of the tank opened up as the driver climbed out and sat on the rim of the latch's opening. Looking around he called out to his fellow super soldiers.

"Perimeter is clear of any hostiles for now. So make haste and get those damn cargo trailers open!" Commanded the Super Soldier wearing a coat with kevlar body armor underneath, and a gas mask over his mouth which left his eyes visible. At that command the other super soldiers that attacked the convoy nodded in confirmation as they approached the trailer that Jason was in. Only to find that the door to the truck's trailer was ripped off... Seeing this the super soldiers began to wonder what happened.

"Sir the door appears to have been ripped off it's hinges, and there are dead bodies lining the floor... or at least what looks to be dead bodies."

"Then that means whatever was in that must have escaped somehow and the perimeter is not secure. So you two, go and search the area." The apparent leader of the squad spoke, and with that command the two soldiers he was directing his attention to gave him a salute and split off to search the area. At that moment the 'leader' caught notice of something out of the corner of his eye. Another, different truck approaching the location at high speeds and shown no signs of slowing or stopping. Seeing this the super soldier hopped completely off the tank and onto the ground. Seeing this he spoke to the other remaining super soldiers in his squad that were staying put with him.

"A truck approaching from the southwest at high speeds. TAKE. CARE OF IT." The leader commanded, and with that simple commanded the remaining soldiers responded.

"SIR YES SIR!!!" They roared in response as one of them took out their grenade launcher and began running into position to take aim, while the other ran behind cover and took aim with his sniper rifle before taking aim at one of the truck's many wheels... The plan is to shoot out one of the wheels, then as the truck gets a little closer the other will fire their grenade launcher at the truck.

With the other soldiers in his squad now taking care of their new jobs, the 'leader' looked over to the remaining trailer... it seemed to be damaged on one side with a rather large hole in the side. What was more intriguing about it though was that it appeared to have been patched up with... the door of the truck filled with dead soldiers. Seeing this the leader took focus and ran to the trailer door, and with his enhanced strength he began to try and pry it open.

Jason could hear from inside the truck that someone was now trying to force his way inside the locked trailer.

Jason did not worry very much about the bullets the soldier fired. Even if all had struck him, it was simply that his armor was too sophisticated to allow the projectiles to pass through. Meanwhile, the soldier was down for the count but not dead. Jason wasn't that heartless. The soldier may have been dumb as dirt, but he at least stood by with integrity. Now all there was to do was get himself prepped for escape. It took almost no time to find the steel and glass tube containing his armor, displaying it as if it were already being worn. It was time to suit up.

Immediately, Jason punched the glass on the container with enough force to shatter it, allowing him to grab the chestplate of the armor and yank it out. He then initiated his armor's dematerializing protocol and the control unit in his brain directed the nanomachines within the suit to begin the suit-up process. Just then, his armor's base materials were being woven about his body, covering the armor he already had on. Sure, this would be a little uncomfortable, but right now he didn't have time to get undressed. While the armor started to form, he heard a man outside loudly calling out to his men, directing them about the convoy. It seemed they were raiding the place, which meant they had dispatched the soldiers in the area. He really had to work fast now.

Jason swiftly tore open the lockers containing his equipment and took each gun, dematerializing them for later. Meanwhile, he also grabbed all the ammunition they were shipped with, quickly stowing them into his nanomachines. Once he was done, he looked over to the opening he had sealed before and heard even more shouting. Apparently, there was another party quickly approaching, and it must have sent the leader into a sudden rush because he then ran to the trailer doors and attempted to open them, prying and hitting the steel in an attempt to open them. Jason did not have the feedback of his armor yet, as it was still reconstructing itself so he didn't know how strong the guy was. At the same time, although he could easily kick down the door and gun the leader down, a good soldier knew when fighting was necessary, and right now Jason did not have enough intel to take such a risk.

"Stealth it is...", Jason whispered to himself.

As the noise from the doors being damaged continued, Jason carefully and quietly slid the door he had jammed into the opening away, gently wiggling it free. Once it was unsecured, Jason carefully placed it on the ground beside the truck and landed between the door and the hole, using the door as visual cover. He then quietly propped the door against the opening and rolled beneath the truck, hiding himself from view before crawling up to one of the nearby wheel axles and latching on. For now, this would be a good spot to both hide and scout his current environment.

Upon finally prying open the door to the truck, the leader saw that it was... empty. Aside from an empty capsule, and a pile of dead bodies. Seeing this the Leader furrowed his brow as he thought for a moment. "Strange. Definitely strange..." The soldier thought as he stepped back, hand on his belt where his handgun is holstered.

Scouring the area he couldn't see anything entirely out of the ordinary, but he wasn't going to just stop looking. He decided to help two of his men by scouting the area as well by circling the truck, examining for any signs of life. He has a rather solid suspiscion that there is SOMETHING in the area that was once in the trucks. After all these trucks had to be carrying something more important than just soldiers.

As this was happening, the two men who were now taking aim at the quickly approaching truck fired their weapons. The one with the sniper rifle fired at the truck's wheels, hoping to slow it down... or worse. WHile the one with the grenade launcher was waiting for the truck to get within proper range.

Among the chaos a single boy, barely old enough to call himself a man stepped out of the woods. he looked young standing at a meager 5.5 feet or 1.68 meters tall. He had snowy white hair and flawless pale skin with red colored eyes. He was wearing casual clothing with a black T shirt and baggy blue jeans with dark grey sneakers. Most notably he had two firearms. A 9mm pistol and a 44 magnum, both of which were civilian grade weapons. Without saying a word to anyone he calmly walked towards the now stopped semi truck with a no nonsense look on his face. His hands were in is pockets and his weapons were holstered for now. He wouldn't interact with anyone unless he was interacted with first, he just made his way to the truck.

The speeding truck moved just in time to avoid the sniper bullet, getting the asphalt throw some debris where the bullet hit. ("Incapacitation tactics, these guys aren't just average grunts.") Sara's focused look was on the light coming from the soldier's scope, it was that split second of twitch that made her evade the bullet.

As the truck would get im the grenade launcher's range, a figure on top of the vehicle appeared, its armor was both for defense and movility with the "ears" moving to get an idea of its surroundings. The figure drew a sniper rifle and waited for what the two were to do.

The soldier who fired the sniper rifle was a bit surprised at the truck driver's maneuver. However he wasn't letting that get to him, for he took aim once again. This time at the figure now on top of the vehicle. The supersoldier aimed his sniper a bit ahead of the target, hoping to lead the target into his next round as he then fired. Simulataneously the one wielding a Grenade Launcher fired as well at the vehicles front, hoping that the explosion will make the driver swerve out of control.

All the while the two other soldiers who were commanded to search the area were doing as they were ordered... Then they spotted something, something that could not be ignored as they saw a young white haired punk walk out of the woods. Seeing this the two soldiers took their assault rifles and took aim but did not fire. The two soldiers then screamed.

"Freeze, and don't move or we WILL shoot!" One of the two soldiers yelled.

When the soldiers aimed their rifles at Alex, he stopped on his right foot and closed his eyes. He wasnt' stopping at their request, rather he amplified the vectors from his footstep, using the waves like echo location. From this he could see all of the living people and creatures in the area. The birds in the trees and even the armored man hiding out under the truck. He could only assume whoever this was, was hiding from this group of armed soldiers.

After his short pause however, he opened his eyes again and took another step forward. "It'll be your funeral." he warned them before continuing his walk straight for the truck that the man was under. Whoever was hiding there was more interesting to him than the thugs holding him at gunpoint.

Jason had hidden under the truck so that he could safely survey the area, but when he quickly saw the chaos unfolding in front of him, he could not waste this opportunity. It seemed like everyone was distracted, so as stealthily as he could, Jason slowly lowered himself to the ground and rolled out from the truck on the opposite side of all the action. He then used the truck to obstruct everyone's view of him as he made a careful dash for the forest.

The first thing that happened by the time the Grenade launcher fired was that the pellet exploded in midair by a bullet, followed by the sound of a sniper rifle shot to the scope of the soldier firing with his own rifle. Another evasive maneuver came from the truck as the bullet aimed at the figure hit the vehicle's top instead of the target itself. "Next time you take me on a date, less explosions would be ok." the armored figure spoke to the driver.

The driver chuckled, placing a weight on the pedal, if the truck was fast already, now it was going faster by tge second, its engine roaring and getting hotter, aimed to the soldiers "You better have a good shot, coming in hot."

The blond took her equipment and opened the door, she had to be precise on the landing, or she would surely break something. With a timed jump backwards, Sara rolled on the ground, but no damage was done, meanwhile, Sam fired again to the soldiers, specifically to the grenade launcher's barrel before jumping out of the speeding truck.

Everyone wasn't entirely distracted, for the 'Leader' of this group of super soldiers was still looking near the truck Jason was hiding under. However he had turned away when the chaos began once again.

The two soldiers dealing with the truck were deeply focused on the driver, and the person on top. In fact shortly after the first grenade that they fired got shot out of the sky, they almost immediately fired another one aimed at the front of the truck. There was
no way in hell that Sniper wielding bitch was good enough to fire the 2nd grenade out of the sky so quickly. All the while the soldier wielding the sniper rifle, and the one wielding the grenade launcher immediately jumped to the side in opposite directions to avoid getting hit by the truck as it sped in. This maneuver on the soldier's part did help prevent the Sam's bullet from hitting it's mark.

Meanwhile... the two soldiers dealing with Alex. They were a bit surprised at his comment, in fact one of the two found the kid to be quite brave. This didn't make them lower their guard at all though as they took a few steps back.

"Then state your business!!" One of the soldiers called out, as the other was staying focused on Alex. In an almost... unnatural way. It was as if he was scanning Alex, All the while he seemed to be emanating some kind of heat from his body... As indicated by the steam coming from him.

The leader saw all this, but saw how his men had everything under control for now. However he did take out his communicator and contact his base. "IP-013 Reporting in, and requesting back-up ASAP." He ordered. At that moment he decided to look under the truck... When he knelt down he saw it... Nothing. There was no one there. If there was something hiding under the truck, then it must be fast as there are no signs. Seeing nothing there he stood back up and cursed under his breath. "Dammit..."

Having found nothing under the truck, and seeing how his men are having some kind of trouble he just shook his head and clenched his fist. A bit of electrical sparks flared from his hand as he began building up a charge. All the while he began to walk towards Alex. Though not with the intent to start a fight unless he has to.

As Alex was making his way towards the two soldiers, he took note and watched as they backed up with his approach, showing they had a good understanding of how to use their weapons not just for shooting but in general. The fact that they didn't shoot him also proved their compliance. They didn't just shoot any random civilian who walked by. Behind the two soldiers he saw a third, This new soldier appeared t check under the truck, only to find nothing and come back disappointed. Has the man under there already moved on? He was quick. Alex stopped again, this time on his left foot, sending vibrations through the ground. Sure enough the man was gone, heading into the woods where he would eventually be out of Range for Alex to track him. Alex didn't know what the significance of this man was, but if the government had him locked up in a truck this thick, it was probably worth investigating. Fearing he might lose him, Alex dropped his reflection for a moment, letting Network connect to his brain.

While Network scanned his recent memories and got caught up with what was going on, Alex bought himself some time in hopes they wouldn't attack him first. And that's when he saw it. the man who had checked under the truck was now walking towards him, lighting in his hands. There was no longer any question about it, these weren't normal humans. "You're clearly not with the government. And you're too skilled to be random thugs or bandits." he pointed out after having observed their work and their behavior. "So who's side are you on?"

The second pellet was also hit, this time by the driver, who had a weapon that looked more like something out of a museum, her bolt action Karabiner 98 Kurz was just releasing the casing of the bullet as the user prepared the second bullet with professional speed ("Moving target, tennis ball sized, arc movement.") she had made the calculations in record time while the armored figure was heading towards a certain soldier, being the leader marked as leader due to his equipment and signals through the radio. ("Target on sight, have to be quick.") the woman had a revolver ready and a knife on the offset hand.

Lynchwood aimed at the soldiers with her rifle, her shot being aimed to the speeding truck, the bullet would hit the gas tank, with the hopes it would ignite the vehicle in flames, or even better, make a nice set of fireworks of charred metal and the stench of burning tires.
