    Cell Block C - Area 51 - Nevada | Night <Sidna>

Completely contradicting what Sidna had tough, everything actually went just as she wanted. Now that they were making some distance between them, she could make it even larger. As Jason was running, the next door was always open, while the door behind him closed as soon as he had passed trough. This way they weren't slowed down in any way, and they had a advantage as Carbon would have to break trough the doors to get to them. Sidna didn't really like the seeing Jason getting hurt. Of course she had pulled that little stunt just back then, but she knew that she was responsible for that one. To minimize the damage that he took, she tried to give him information about the next few rooms they would enter. It wasn't as precise as seeing them himself, but at least it helped. If it helped, it was good enough.

Jason's question made her slightly happy. It seemed that he at least had some common sense. "Shouldn't be long now, just keep going where the doors lead. We'll be there soon enough. At the moment we have traveled about 1/3 of the distance there" she aswered.

      Cabin

Koishi retracted her head back through the window and looked at Jack.

"There was some weird tall thing outside. Drake jumped out the window after it and then it just disappeared." Koishi explained.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Carbon continued to chase them through the base, but as she did the doors closed in front of her.

"Oh so you're going to play things that way huh?" Carbon said as she holstered her weapons. Then using her inhuman strength she began ramming the first door in her path. With the added speed of her hover-legs, and her engine system attached to her back she had enough force to leave a pretty decently sized dent in the first door.

"This is going to take a while..." Carbon said as she prepared to ram the door again.

        Tokyo - Japan - Dave's Apartment

In the armory after Sidna had opened up hacking for Dave again he decided to look through all the files. He saw in the files for a special type of armor.

When he saw these files a little mischievous smirk came upon his face as he began reading the files.

"Hmm... looks like this armor was apparently made for our little fugitive on the run..." Dave said as he quickly hacked into the security cameras, seeing as how Jason, Dust, and even Sidna were all heading towards the Armory where the armor was stored at Dave got an idea.

"Seems like our friend here is heading towards this armory? Is he after this armor? Hmm... Maybe... maybe I can help him with this... Andrew I'll need help hacking into the Armor's capsule. Can you help me with it?" Dave replied.

        Cyberspace

"Sure Dave... let me just start... now." Andrew said as he disappeared from Cyberspace.

        Armory - Area 51 - Nevada | Night

On the small monitor next to the armor's capsule A small face resembling Dave appeared, complete with hat and all. The face began laughing as a small bar appeared below it showing 22% hacking complete. By the time Jason and the others were to reach the armory, Jason's armor and weapons would be fully ready for him.

As Jason sprinted to the next room, he readied himself for the guards on the other side. As soon as the door opened, Jason quickly lunged to the left, dodging an oncoming hail of bullets. As soon as Jason landed on the ground, he darted off again, this time sprinting behind some of the crates in the area and kept running, using anything around him as cover. The room was easy to get through, even with the guards shooting at Jason. As soon as Jason exited the room, Sidna closed the door and Jason sprinted off again.

As Jason sprinted down the hall, he saw that five guards had lined up and started to fire at him. Not wanting to risk Dust getting shot, Jason quickly turned he life support system and sandwiched Dust in between him and the life support module. Once that happened, Jason held the life support module in front of himself and sprinted forward as the gunfire continued. The bullets from the guards' weapons flew at Jason and the life support module, but simply bounced off as they struck the titanium armor. As soon as Jason was within range, he rammed straight through one guard at 60 mph, killing the guard from the impact. The other guards saw their comrade killed by the devastating impact and fired another hail at Jason as he passed by. Jason was struck twice in the ribs, but kept running. Instead of falling, Jason quickly spun around and ran backwards as he deflected the other oncoming bullets as he exited the room. This hall room was clear,so as Jason ran, he asked Sidna another question.

"How many more rooms?", Jason asked Sidna.

Sinda watched as Jason fought his way trough the rooms. At some times she tough that he did go a little bit to far, like when he used the life support system as a shield. Of course it didn't take any damage from the treatment, but she still felt uncomfortable with it. Normally she thought of machines as something that you had to threat nicely. This however was the complete opposite. She couldn't think of a better way to do it tough so for now it was okay. After that Jason asked a question. "It should be 2 more rooms" Sinuda said. She then also at the same time asked a question of her own. "Hey that armor that you have, does it have some sort of wireless receiver?" She asked

Jason was about to run right into the next room, but before he did, Sidna asked him whether or not his armor had a wireless receiver.

"Yea, it does. It allows the user to communicate with others and retrieve tactical data from outside sources. Why do you ask?", Jason asked Sidna in a curious tone as he stopped in his tracks, not wanting to get in a fight while trying to hold a conversation.

Sidna grew a bit annoyed that he had misunderstood her question. She didn't really consider that she could have worded it better. She just got a bit angry as he hadn't understood what she meant. She did decided to give it another go tough. "I guess it could work, but I was thinking more of as in internet wireless? If you don't it won't really be that big of a problem as I could always fix it another way" she said.

As they continued trough the rooms they finally reached the last door before the armory. "Alright, this is the last door. Think you can do it" Sidna said after explaining the layout of the room to him.

                  Cell Block C - Area 51 - Nevada | Night

Jason simply nodded at Sidna as she told him the layout of the room. From what he was told, the next room had crates to the left and right sides of the room, and had guards hiding throughout the room, ready to kill both Dust and himself. Jason lost count of how many gunshot wounds he had sustained, but right now was a horrible time to think about it. Right now, Dust needed him to get to his armor, preferably before Carbon caught up to them and burned them to cinders. Without it, they would both die in this base. With that in mind, Jason sprinted into the next room, ready to face whatever waited for him.

As soon as the door opened, the guards opened fire, laying down a rain of bullets. Right as that happened, Jason blocked the bullets with Dust's life support system. Thanks to the armor covering the life support system, the bullets simply ricocheted and bounced off the large device. Thinking quickly, Jason jumped over the crates along the left side of the room and landed on top of one of the guards. Before the guard could react, Jason stomped on him, killing him. Right as soon as that happened, a guard looked up from behind a nearby crate and opened fire, only to be greeted by a gun to the face that Jason had kicked. The gun slammed into the guard's face, breaking the gun and killing the guard. Right as soon as that happened, Jason heard the small clinking of metal beside him, and as he looked down, he could see that it was a live hand grenade. Without hesitation, Jason jumped out of the way and over another crate before the grenade could explode.

Jason let out a deep breath as he began to think up of a plan. What he needed to do was get to the door. Once that was done, he would be able to access the armory. After a couple of seconds, Jason emerged from behind the crate and sprinted across the room, straight for the door. Unfortunately, as the door came into view, he could see that the door was being guarded by a group of heavily armed guards, some of them crouching in front with bullet resistant shields ans some of them standing behind, ready to kill anybody that tried to pass them.

Without warning, one of the guards fired a grenade launcher, sending a 40mm grenade towards Jason. Jason knew that if he tried to block the grenade with the life support system, the explosion would most likely shred right through. Taking that into account, Jason lunged behind cover and shielded Dust with himself. The grenade exploded against the left wall, but didn't hit Jason with any shrapnel. As soon as the explosion stopped, Jason looked at Dust and spoke in a serious tone.

"Dust, I need you to wait here. I'm going to go kill those guys. If I don't then we're both dead. Stay here, okay?", Jason asked Dust.

Dust who had kept her eyes closed throughout the whole ordeal did not open her eyes, but she did speak up.

"O-Okay... please... just please don't die..." She said as she opened her eyes, looking directly at Jason eye to eye for the first time. Tears were streaming down her face as she closed her eyes, curling up into fetal position once more.

"Oh... well that doesn't sound all too well..." Said Jack as he opened the door to the cabin. He then looked at Drake and called out.

"Hey get back in here son! You'll freeze to death out there!" Jack called out as Drake continued to ignore his own father. It was as though something was seriously getting under Drake's skin.

Suddenly without warning Drake sprinted into the woods on all fours without his metal hunting claws, catching his own father off guard.

"The hell!? What does that boy think he's doin!?" Jack cursed as he quickly ran back inside to get his coat and gun. "Listen Koishi I'm gonna go after Drake. You stay here and keep an eye on the cabin got it?"

                      Cell Block C - Area 51 - Nevada | Night

For the first time ever, Dust looked directly at Jason, making eye contact. Jason could see the fear in Dust's red eyes. As Dust began to curl herself onto the ground, Jason her gave a quick nod before sprinting off towards the other side of the room, hopping over a crate as he pulled out both his MP5s. Thanks the the crates to his left, he was hidden from view of the guards guarding the door. As Jason reached the opposite side of the room he came across another space in the crates, a perfect spot for Jason to take a defensive position.

As Jason placed his back against the crate, he let out a long sigh as he assessed the highest threat targets from memory. From what he could remember, there was a man with a 12-gauge shotgun, a SPAS-12. Jason would need to watch out for that weapon. Dodging such a weapon would be difficult, so he needed to target that man first. Jason knew that one of the guards had an M32A1 40mm grenade launcher. The man had already fired one grenade, but he most likely had more, possibly a maximum of 11 remaining grenades. As for the third man, he had what appeared to be an XM-25. Such a weapon was terrifying in a situation like this, but if Jason shot the weapon first, then he wouldn't have to worry about the guard's weapon. Finally, the last man had what appeared to be some kind of advanced rifle, most likely a Gauss Rifle. Jason didn't know the parameters of the weapon, but he did know that he would be either killed or crippled if he was shot with such a weapon. As for the others, the 6 other guards that were standing had HK416s, most likely chambered for 5.56mm rounds, while the 10 guards in the front had bullet resistant shields and MP5s at the ready. Jason was facing almost impossible odds right now, but he had to try. That was the only way he and Dust were going to get out of this facility.

After taking a couple seconds to clear his mind, Jason spun out from behind cover and let loose a quick barrage of gunfire towards the guard with the XM-25 before jumping back behind cover as a torrent of bullets filled the space he was previously at. The bullets Jason had fired slammed into the guard's chest and shoulders, but only managed to crack the weapon the guard was holding. Right as soon as the guard hit the ground, Jason sprinted across the space between the crates and hid behind the one across the way, firing another barrage at the man with the grenade launcher. Unfortunately, the man was hiding behind the men with the bullet resistant shields. Jason's bullets bounced off the shield, barely even making a scratch on them. After the guards let off another torrent of rounds, Jason quickly peeked his head out from cover and assessed his progress before hiding back behind cover. Jason could see that he did nothing to the guard, due to the shieldsmen protecting the group. The only way Jason was going to get past those shields was if he had explosives, but where would he find some?

Withing a split second, Jason remembered where exactly he was. This was near the armory, so surely there would be explosives in one of these crates. Without hesitation, Jason quickly walked over to a nearby crate ans jammed his hand into the top of it. With one single jerk of his arm, Jason tore the top of the crate off and tossed it to the side, revealing cases of 25mm grenades. It wasn't exactly what Jason was hoping to find, but he could still use them.

"Jason Stone, stand down at once or you will face the consequences! You are outnumbered and outgunned!", the squad leader of the group shouted out after Jason had been hidden for a good couple of minutes.

(But not outmatched.), Jason thought as he tossed a 25mm grenade into the air and caught it over and over again as he walked back over to the space between the crates.

All of a sudden, before the guards could react, Jason jumped out of cover and threw one of the 25mm grenades with almost enough force to rival a grenade launcher. The 25mm grenade slammed into one of the bullet resistant shields, exploding on impact. Ballistic plastic and composite materials, and shrapnel from the grenade raced towards everyone within a 20 foot radius, killing the person holding the shield, 4 of the gunmen, 1 of the shieldsmen, and injuring a couple others. At that very moment, Jason pulled his MP5s back out and rained down a hail of gunfire at the guards, killing 3 more shieldsmen and injuring another gunman. Right as soon as Jason saw one of the guards aiming their gun at him, Jason quickly hopped behind cover.

"Dammit! Find cover!", the squad leader shouted as Jason reloaded his MP5s ready for another attack.

Jason knew that the guards were going to move in and try to kill him, and these boxes and crates would make it difficult to track each and every one of them. He knew that if he slipped up just once, he would be shot and would most likely die. Even worse, one of the guards might find Dust in their search for him and kill her. Jason had only one option: kill all the guards. With that in mind, Jason placed three grenades in his jacket and quickly ran past the various crates in the room.

Within only a couple of seconds, Jason encountered a guard twenty feet away that was holding a bullet-resistant shield and MP5. Right as soon as the guard spotted Jason, the guard opened fire. Reacting quickly, Jason jumped straight over the guard's line of fire and let off a barrage from his MP5s, hitting the guard in the head and shoulders. As the guard dropped to the floor, Jason could hear one of the guards shouting into their communicator.

                      "Shots fired! Shots fired!"

It was time for Jason to set up an ambush. In that very moment, Jason quickly climbed up onto the tall crate beside the dead guard and waited for another one to walk by. Within a couple seconds, a small group of 4 guards walked over to their dead comrade to investigate what had happened. Meanwhile, Jason was laying on top of the crate, ready to strike. Jason took this opportunity to fire at the guards, hitting them all in the head, torso, and shoulders. As the guards fell to the ground, Jason quietly dropped back down to the ground and took one of the guards' HK416s.

Right as soon as Jason took the assault rifle, he heard a loud popping sound and immediately knew what it was. Reacting quickly, Jason darted to the side, narrowly avoiding a 40mm grenade. The grenade slammed into a nearby crate and exploded. The shrapnel from the explosion left deep cuts on Jason's arm and parts of his back and torso, but he remained standing. In that very instant, Jason darted towards the guard, covering the distance of 5 meters within 200 milliseconds. Before the guard could even react, Jason had his fingers curled around the guard's throat and slammed him into the ground as hard as he could, breaking the tiling on the ground and killing the guard.

Right as the guard hit the ground, Jason heard even more footsteps converging on his location. Within that instant, Jason was already on the move. As Jason sprinted through the room, he saw the back of a guard holding a bullet-resistant shield. Taking this opportunity, Jason opened fire with the HK415, shooting the guard in the back as he sprinted towards him. Right before the guard could even react to getting shot, Jason slammed right into the guard. The impact rivaled that of a collision with a car, and sent the guard flying through a nearby crate, killing him instantly. While the guard flew into the crate, Jason jumped over the crate and opened fire on a guard on the other side, striking him in the neck and head before landing on top of him. Jason rolled to a stand as soon as he landed, only to be greeted with a hail of .40 caliber rounds from a couple nearby guards. Doing what could only be described as superhuman, Jason sprinted towards the guards as he opened fire with both his MP5 and HK415, all while weaving past the bullets being fired at him. Instead of hitting the guards or their shields, he aimed for their guns, blowing them apart. Right after that, Jason slammed onto both guards, injuring them and knocking them to the ground. Just then, Jason opened fire on the two guards on the ground, killing them both, but as soon as the guards were dead, he heard a loud bang and felt the top-right side of his back burn with pain.

Jason was sent straight to the ground from the impact of the 12-gauge shotgun. As Jason slowly turned from his stomach to his back, he saw the guard with the shotgun aiming a 9mm pistol at his head. Jason knew that he was going to get shot, but he was not about to give up without a fight. Right as Jason raised his HK415 and fired at the guard's neck, the guard fired the pistol, shooting him in the forehead. As the guard slumped to the floor, Jason began to slowly go limp from the injury. His senses were severely hampered. His vision was blurred, he could barely hear anything over the muffled shouts of a few distant guards, and he felt himself slowly losing feeling in his body.

Right before Jason could slip into unconsciousness, he heard the faint sound of a guard approaching. He knew that if he was caught, he would be shot. He needed to move. He needed to survive. Using what little consciousness he had, Jason twitched back to life as he looked down the hall. Right as soon as he did, he could see a guard with an HK416 raising his gun, but before the guard could fire, Jason shot the guard's legs with his MP5. The guard screamed in pain as he fell to the ground, and as the guard fell, Jason opened fire again, hitting the guard in the torso and head. Jason laid there, trying to regain his senses. his vision was still somewhat blurred, but at least he could still hear and move. After a moment, Jason slowly struggled to roll back onto his stomach and forced himself to stand. He could feel a warmth pooling around his right shoulder blade and down his back, most likely blood from the injury he had sustained. Despite that injury, Jason slowly raised his right hand up to his forehead and pulled the flattened .40 caliiber round off of his skull. It was painful, but the pain was probably the only thing keeping him conscious right now. After a couple more seconds, Jason began to walk past the various crates in the room, trying to find the final guard.

Meanwhile, while Jason searched for the last guard, a loud bang echoed throughout the room. As Dust laid behind a crate, a bullet passed straight through the top of the crate, spraying her with small pieces of wood and packing peanuts. The last guard was across the room, standing on top of a tall crate, firing at Dust with his Gauss Rifle.

As the room began to fill up with smoke, the guard quickly switched his scope to its infrared setting and found Dust again as she ran for the locked door. As Dust neared the door, the guard lined up his sights with the side of her head and began to pull the trigger.

Meanwhile, as Jason slowly made his way through the room, searching for the guard, he heard Dust scream in fear. In that very moment, Jason held his breath in fear as he thought about Dust being found and possibly killed. As soon as Jason turned around, he saw a large billow of smoke in her general direction. Not only that, he could also see the guard on top of a crate, readying his Gauss Rifle for another shot. In that very moment, Jason quickly raised his MP5 and fired at the guard.

In that very moment, the guard's concentration was broken, causing him to sway his gun to the right and pull the trigger. The hypersonic bullet flew through the air at Mach 5, blowing through the smoke in the air. Just then, a large puff of air flew into Dust's face as the bullet passed a mere 3 inches from her face, blowing a large chunk out of the ground as the bullet his the ground.

The bullets Jason had fired hit the guard in the arm and shoulder, but didn't kill him. Reacting quickly, the guard dropped his Gauss Rifle and quickly grabbed the XM-25 hanging from his side. Jason's eyes widened in shock and slight fear as he saw the weapon. He knew that he needed to make a dash for the guard now, or else he would be killed. With that in mind, Jason sprinted towards the guard as fast as he could, firing at the guard as he did so. As Jason fired a barrage of bullets from his MP5 and HK415, the guard fired the XM-25, sending an airbursting 25mm grenade towards Jason before being killed by the barrage of bullets. Jason saw the grenade, but could not react fast enough to evade it. As soon as the grenade passed by Jason, a loud bang echoed throughout the room. Chunks of shrapnel flew down at Jason, piercing the torn straightjacket and embedding themselves into his skin as he fell to the ground. After the explosion, the room was silent.

As Dust was rushing to the door she heard a loud bang from behind her, and almost immediately she turned around in fear.

"Nononononono... no please don't be dead please don't,,," She muttered as she slowed backed up to the armory door in fear that Jason was killed in the smoke. "You can't be dead... you just can't... you promised me you wouldn't die... please... no no no no no no no no no..." She kept muttering as she curled up into fetal position, tears filling her eyes and streaming down her cheeks as she thought that the worst had happened to Jason.

                              Jack & Drake's Cabin

Koishi simply nodded at Jack. "All three of them. Just be careful out there. Something's afoot."

"I'm getting out of here... We're getting out of here."

"I'm useless... I'll just slow you down..."

"To be honest, I don't care if you would slow me down or not. I'm still going to get you out of here."

Trust me when I say this, we're going to make it out alive, I promise.

"I... I-I just don't want you to die... Y-You promised me..."

Jason woke up with a slight gasp as he opened his eyes. His vision was blurred and everything sounded muffled, but he was still alive, albeit barely. He felt his consciousness quickly slipping away again, along with what little life he had left. He didn't know how long he had, but he didn't think he had very much time. He tried to move, but he could barely do so. The best he could to was slowly move his body across the ground as he tried to find something to prop himself up against. After a moment, he propped himself up against a nearby crate and breathed heavily as he tried to find the strength to keep going. He knew that Dust was counting on him, and he knew that they would both die if they were caught. He needed to move not only for his sake, but hers as well. He promised her that they would both get out of this base alive, and right now, she needed him.

(And that is a promise I will keep.), Jason thought as he took a deep breath and slowly forced himself back to a stand, using the create as a means to prop himself upright.

After a couple of minutes, Jason, made his way to the Armory door and saw Dust laying there, curled up next to the door. It was a little hard to see her amidst the blood in his eyes from his headwound, along with his deteriorating vision, but he could still identify her.

"Come on. We need to keep moving.", Jason said to Dust in a strained tone as he leaned against a crate beside him.
