Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

The enigma nodded, tipping his helmet down as if he was a Southern-state gentleman. "If you'll excuse me."
The enigma slithered through the grass. The grass that was near the enigma seemed to temporarily wither as he... she... it... glided through the air and headed to the South.

John had spent a couple hours looking for a water Pokemon and was starting to become slightly agitated by his inability to find one. If anything, it trained Aegis to level twelve, making him stronger than before. Despite having no success in finding a water Pokemon, he continued his search. At the very least, he had to look until it was 12:00 PM. John grumbled under his breath as he moved through the grass, paying attention to his radar for any movements. Eventually, the tall grass gave way to a small pond. It was a pretty good place to find a water Pokemon, but he could not go into the water. He would be lucky if one just randomly came out of nowhere, ready to fight him. Sadly, that wasn't the way the world worked. It didn't seem like things were going John's way. Seeing that he reached a dead end, John turned to the left and followed the pond's edge.

John must've been praying while he was looking for a water-type Pokemon, for from the small pond near him sprouted a golden-brown starfish Pokemon with large red gem in the center surrounded by yellow ring. The five appendages on this Pokemon seemed to be used as arms and legs, as the Pokemon stood itself upright with the two bottom appendages and thrust the top three appendages upwards as if it was a gymnast.

Hoenn Region - Route 104 - @Wriggle/Yuuka
Both Sherry and Claire became a little flustered when the Abra teleported in and ruined their momentum. That momentum was needed in order to get a good foothold in the fight! Luckily, Claire managed to get out of a bad situation with the help of the Lotad in the back. That was not a pleasant bark of a growl, but it seemed to have an effect on the two targets. Startling your opponent could only do so much.
"Thanks for the assist," Sherry said in an aside to Yuuka. "We'll try to whittle them down for you. I just hope your Lotad knows a few good attacks." The agent turned back to her idly flying Taillow and pointed at her targets. "Keep at it, Claire! Don't let them get you down! Disorient them with a few swoops, then close in on that Oddish with those pecks!"
Claire chirped in reply and swooped down for the kill again.

As soon as the Staryu appeared on John's radar, John quickly reached for his M6D Magnum Pistol, but quickly stopped himself before his instincts could follow through with the action. Instead, John shifted his hand from his gun to Aegis's Pokeball and spun to face the Staryu. With Aegis's Pokeball in hand, John pressed the button and threw the pokeball up in the air. As soon as the pokeball reached it's peak, a red arc of energy slammed into the ground in front of John and Aegis materialized.
"Aegis, use Metal Claw.", John said to Aegis.

Kappa continued to shock the enemy with his... Astonishing... move (oh god please, Yuuka thought) that eventually scared Abra so much that he scampered back into his Pokeball. With the Abra unable to defend Oddish from the onslaught, the Oddish was quickly dispatched by Claire's ferocious pecks and had to escape into the Pokeball.
"We lost?" The brown-haired boy gasped in denial. "How could that happen?"
"We lost!" The black-haired boy stomped the ground in anger. "How could that happen!"
Kappa grew to Lv: 6!
Kappa learned Absorb!
Claire grew to Lv: 6!
Claire learned Growl!
Claire learned Focus Energy!
"Yes!" Yuuka clenched her fist in victory.

Aegis launched himself forward, his front... paws... sheltering sharp claws made out of metal. Unfortunately, the metal merely scratched the surface of the Pokemon's gem, barely even denting it.
The Staryu gasped and expressed a disgruntled beep as it drank the water from the pond with its' appendage. Then, the appendage shot a jet of water at Aegis, knocking him back.

"Okay." Koishi shrugged, and went on acting like the encounter never happened. She didn't care who or what that thin was, and simply minded her own business. Kogasa and Snow looked at each other, and back to Koishi.
"Aren't you acting a little...normal, for whatever just passed us?" Snow asked.
"He acted nice enough. So I let him be on his way. His business was none of my own. He didn't attack, or provoke, or nothin'. He simply greeted me and left. He'll probably forget I ever existed. But I still don't care." Koishi explained.
"You're weird." Kogasa blurted.
"Thanks for the compliment." Koishi smiled, making Kogasa raise an eyebrow (if he had any).

It was true, though. Sherry thought she played the role of a cheerleader at times, but her words were genuine. Claire came back and swooped down to land on Sherry's shoulder. The Taillow seemed out of breath, but her feathers looked to be a little brighter and hardier than they used to. Plus, that satisfied tilt of the Taillow's head seemed to imply that Claire had had fun, which was all Sherry needed to know. The agent gave a few words of praise to the bird before looking to Yuuka.
"That was some luck," she stated. "Thanks for the help, Yuuka."
