    Shinka Knights IC

Deep within the Jungle of the new world, The Shinka Knights and Ragnarok made their way to a set of coordinates in which unspecified radiation had been leaked Both sides suspected the radiation to be either the lost antimatter crystal, thus causing both sides to run in rashly. Peter Brooks had given Jason orders to escort Cooper to the area with the supposed antimatter radiation, and protect him until he was able to locate and safely extract the crystal. There was only one other Infecta with Jason and Cooper at the time but a back up unit had been promised.

It wans't long before The sound of hell makers and harassers filled the air. The small infecta unit, rather than fighting them head on, would hide in the shadows and follow the hellmakers until Cooper could pinpoint the sours of the radiation, at which point the infecta would race towards the crystal. Much to their surprise the hellmakers were not travailing alone. Up in the sky were multiple dragon shaped air aircrafts. The aircrafts, lso known as Harassers were extremely fast and powerful ships, but they were pretty useless in a jungle where you can't see the ground from the sky. Could this be a scout unit? Or maybe they were the only ones in the area?

Meanwhile in another part of the world, in an open field, Brooks was on his way to answer a distress call that had been sent out by Ghost one, A recon unit that specialized in Shadow crystals. Upon arriving in the approximate location, Brooks was attacked by a Ragnarook Unit that consisted of scouts, medics and infantry. The whole morning had been chaotic with one incident after another which left the infecta spread very thin. Mines were collapsing, units were being attacked, and important discoveries were being made that required immediate attention. The Infecta's Home base was left with fewer than 15 soldiers to protect it. This all seemed too convincing to be a coincidence All units had been ordered to return to base ASAP or immediately after completed their unique missions to prevent Ragnarok from attacking the base while their soldiers were spread so thin. As Chaos and confusion consume the land, It's anyone's guess how the conflict will end.

    Jungle | Day

Jason didn't know how long they had been out in the jungle, but all he knew was that he, Cooper, and their newest member to the team were very close to the Hellmakers and Harassers up above. One of the only comforting thoughts in Jason's mind was the fact that they were well hidden, out of the Ragnarok scouting party's line of sight, all while still keeping a decent view of them. It had been a while since Jason was given an escort/stealth op like this. He would have rather been given an assault op, but he was okay with what he had. All he had to do was protect Cooper until he was finished. Any easy enough job, right?

As the Hellmakers and Harassers continued to fly up above, Jason covertly motioned with his hand for Cooper and the other Infecta to remain still. Jason didn't know what the Ragnarocians' next move was, so in the meantime, he would wait.

A lone figure was sitting on one pf the many branches of hidden by the lush flora of the jungle, her attire was well camouflaged because of the dirt and leaves covering the armor.

Using a scope, the fox tengu located the ragnarok soldiers since they were easier to notice than the infecta people ("One side of the coin, but where is the second one?) she thought while searching on the other part of the jungle.

Putting the scope in its place, Kris leaned on the tree's bark, still alert, but glad to be far and safe from both parties ("I wonder what she got planned this time") wondered the fox about her partner while taking one of her arrows and checking it's tip

        Lab - ???

        "--llo?"
Static...the view phased in and out of focus. The sound of a woman's voice came in slightly, in between the crackling sounds of the static.
        " -a- y-- he-- -e?"
In some of the brief moments that the view came into focus, a room could be seen. In the room seemed to be lab equipment and various electronic devices. A woman with shoulder length hair tied into a pony tail seemed to be looking into something. She blocked most of the view of the room.
        "Ne-i-is? Ca- y-u hea- me?"
Focusing on the room and the woman slowly became easier as the static lessened.
        "Can yo- hear -e?"

        No reaction. The screen froze.

        "..."

Starla was of the Ragnarok Stella. She was currently working on a computer with a small camera and microphone array on top of a screen that, a moment before had the image of a girl. Now the screen scattered the image and froze. It had crashed.

"Dammit." She said finally after a moment, rubbing her temples as she leaned back in the chair she was in.
Starla herself was wearing her usual lab attire, with her brown jacket off of her shoulders and a white dress shirt with blue trim.
"What's still wrong? Why isn't this working?" She muttered to herself. After a moment of deep thought she stretched, throwing her head back with her arms outstretched. Once she did, she released and let her arms go limp, swinging down like pendulums on either side of the chair, her head still back. "UGH! I can't believe it's taking this long..." She groaned while staring at the ceiling. "The sooner I can get Nemesis done..." She stopped her sentence as she closed her eyes and relaxed, then she finished it in her mind. "The sooner I can figure things out on my own."

From a distance, hidden amongst the brush, a tengu by the name of Soane was watching through a pair of binoculars. Things were normally quiet between Ragnarok and the Infecta lately. What had stirred them up so suddenly? Her raccoon-like ears twitched with curiosity. She surveyed the area fro any clues, but all she got were view of Hell-Makers and some Harrassers. She made a hmm sound, but continued her search.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

            Outskirts of Infecta Home base

Nisen crouched in a tree observing the outpost. Today a lot has happened and it was the thinnest he has seen the infecta been spread over the last three days. This was probably the best chance he had, but to make sure he tapped on his earpiece to send a signal to Sonia. A tiny voice spoke into his ear soon after, "yep, this is the best chance you are likely to get, they are spread all over the place dealing with problems, but they must have realised their forces are spread too thin, some are on their way back, so you need to get in and get out quickly." He bobbed his head quickly, knowing his sister would be able to see what he is seeing and would interpret the move in the field of vision as a nod.

He dropped to the ground silently, changing colours as he did so to maintain his camouflage. He darted to the nearest guard outpost, flitting through the guard's field of vision for a short while, before appearing before him and slamming the hilts of his knives into both of the guard's temples, knocking him out before he could make a sound. He then quietly put the guard down, usually there would be more than one guard in this area, but with them spread so thin he could make it in without alerting the others. He then started sneaking around the infecta home base, looking around at as many things as possible, knowing what he is seeing would be recorded. He also started placing miniature cameras and microphones on the windows of important looking buildings. Sneaking into them would be too risky, but the camera and microphone were of high enough capability to record what is happening through the glass, so he need not enter the buildings.

KATRIX PLEASES MOVE THIS SO IT'S THE SECOND POST IN THE IC

              -----LOCATIONS-----

Shinka HQ: This location is wher the Infecta ship landed and was reconstructed into a building using the remains of the former ship. It's the furthest most eastern landmark in the world thus far. The HQ is in between a forest and a mountain which gives them protection from both sides.

Death Vally: In the middle of a forest lies one desecrated valley of land where the taint bombs had been set off. The area (which is south west of the infecta HQ) was filled with dead plants and purple/black radiation from the taint. The taint quickly spread through the forest and infected the majority of the creatures within. It's rumored that somewhere within this tainted wasteland that Seki rests her head.

West star: West star was the name given to Ragnarok's first military base that they were able to establish on this planet. It would also be the same location they launched the tainted missile from. Being on the western side of the contaminant West star is close to the beach and surrounded by open planes,

Other locations: Most of the world is uninhabited, however there are multiple mines and outposts located around the continant which can be owned by either faction. There are also tousands of Ragnarok ships orbiting the world, It is here wher Ragnarok keep their scientests and medics until such a time as they are needed elsewhere.

                Jungle | Day

The hellmakers and harassers advanced towards the source of the radiation as The infecta unit slowly followed. suddenly the device Cooper had used to track the radiation began going haywire, The malfunction caused enough noise to alert the enemy unit that the Infecta were there. Before they could do anything, all hell started to break loose. There was an extremely loud roaring/howling nose that could be heared from miles, followed by the sound of thousands of footsteps It wasn't long before the Infecta and Ragnarokan Unit would be in the presence of a massive Zombie rampage. Sure the tainted creatures always attacked in numbers but they were usually inn groups of 50 or so. What was causing this strange behavior?

The cretures rushed in with super human speed and tipped over one of the hellmakers with ease, they began to rip it apart and slowly drag out the screaming Stella,s that were inside and began ripping off their limbs on the most horrible way possible. It was around this time Seki contacted hey Partner with the voice transmitter she "borrowed" from Cooper. "Kris Get back to the camp. Things are about to get Ugly" She said in a slightly worried tone. The creatures ripped apart parts of the hellmaker and began tossing them at the harassers, they seemed even more hostle than usual, like someone had royally pissed them off. the harassers atempted to kill as many of the tainted creatures as posible without dropping a bomb on their allies but there were simply too many.

Meanwhile to the north Zombie attack, colonel Peter Brooks was having a war of his own as he valiantly fought an entire unit of enemies. Using a weighted staff, Brooks took one of the scouts off of his feet and used magnetism to create a double negative charge which would send the scout flying backwards into two of the other enemies. One of the worries got behind him and even managed to draw his rifle at the colonel from behind. But before he was ble to shoot, Brooks but up a magnetic barrier around the soldier so that the moment he shot, the bullets would return and strike the man himself rather than it's intended target. The scouts got up again and used strange gadgets on their arms to instantly deploy what looked like a riot shield. The scouts quickly rushed in at the colonel, who swiftly stopped them by insheathing and tossing up half a dozen knives, which he then pushed towards the scouts at such a high speed that they completely pierced the riot shields, as well as the scout's armor.

As the scouts fell dead, the colonel looked around and found himself to be the only man left standing. He quickly ran over to a nearby ditch where the destress signal had originated. Much to his surprise, ghost one had bean stripped of their armor and tied up along side an enemy recon unit who met a similar fate. "Were they trying to rescue them? what the..." While slightly confused, Brooks took his own men as well as the enemies, back to HQ where he hopped to get some answers on what was happening.

Seeing the whole mess starting to occurr, the tengu took her arrows and bow and started shooting at strategic points, the targets where the arrows landed started oozing pheromones to cover her safety "I see that the party went rough, isn´t it?" she asked to Seki as she started jumpong between branches.

Using an arrow with a rope, the fox used it as a vine to traverse the jungle easier "What´s the plan? I got enough arrows to make a small cover for us to escape without notice or to make a distraction around the place" she offfered to her ally

Without warning, all hell broke loose. There were corrupted swarming the jungle, slaughtering Ragnarokans and destroying their ships. Jason saw how their attack patters were irregular, but right now it didn't matter. What mattered was getting Cooper to his objective. There may have been complications with the plan, but Jason was still determined to get it completed. They needed that crystal, and Jason was not about to quit without a fight. Without hesitation, Jason readied his XMA-38 Assault Rifle for combat and spoke.

"Do you still have a readout on that crystal? Can we still find it?", Jason asked Cooper in a serious tone as he looked over his surroundings and at his radar for any incoming hostiles.

Nisen was only 1 quarter way through his stock of surveillance equipment when Sonia's voice once again appeared in his ear. "You should still have time to finish planting the rest of the equipment but the infecta are on their way back right now and i want you to check out something else. So just set up some at the most important looking locations and get of there immediately, when you are out, I will get back to you." Nisen made the assenting motion with his head again and continued on his way through deserted alleyways.. He quickly set up a few more cameras and microphones around the base and then exited the way he came in, making sure the guard was fine, he was under strict orders not to cause casualties or provoke the infecta in any way.

                      Private Ragnarokian ship-In orbit

Sonia kept her attention on the bank of monitors in front of her. The center one was Nisen's view which she watched out of the corner of her eye. But she mainly examined what was going on in the other major screens. They depicted images from hacked cameras and cameras Nisen had placed on the Ragnarokian military. She was able to monitor what was going on between the infecta and the ragnarokians this way, even if the military themselves did not notice anything, she was much more observent. Chatter was also coming from various sources as random transmissions were intercepted, both ragnarokians and infecta. I wonder what's causing that rampage...

She quickly turned her attention back to the middle screen as Nisen made it out. She turned on a microphone and quickly directed him to where she expected the infecta to pass by. "Here is as much I can guess from the feed that I have. Our own scouts were on their way to respond to some kind of signal but were intercepted by this infecta. He was just one but he took out the entire unit on his own, so I don't recommend you taking him on...at least not until you analyze what happened in the fight. Anyway, from the remaining functioning cameras that you planted on the scouts, I saw the lone infecta returned with a group of other infecta but strangely a group of our own military too, as prisoners. But there wasn't enough time lapse for there to be a fight, so they must already have been captured. As far as i can guess the group of infecta themselves were captured too, so someone must've captured both groups. I want you to observe them on their way back to see what is happening." She turned off the mike and leaned back as Nisen settled into another tree. Working independently does have its advantages, but at times like this why can't the military be more open about their operations...Ah well, if they mess up and I clear up, they can't blame me.

As she waited for something to happen, she called up another set of feeds on a smaller bank of monitors. These were from the cameras and mikes that nisen had just planted. The cameras were only the size of buttons and the mikes about a quarter that, so they should remain undiscovered for a while. Not much was going on in the infecta base but she wanted to check the feeds. So she began labeling each area, identifying those she could and merely numbering those she couldn't.

As following the orders that Ghost One was given, Zero was new to the group. After a while, a surprise attack happened and caught Ghost One off guard. During the fight, Zero was injured in his right arm and left area right below the ribs. "Zero, go and get Cooper and his group here for backup!" One of the leaders told him. "Al.. alright." Zero said as he places hi EC Divider-996, codenamed Black Knight, onto his back and using his crystal's power, fled the scene and went to get back up.

After running from the scene and making his way back to HQ, Zero leans against a tree on his left side. Zero is breathing heavily from the running and the injures he has. A screen appears in front of Zero, thanks to the implant he got in his left eye. "An Infecta group is nearby. Must.... get to them." He says and rushes to them. As he follows the screen, which is showing a map and the friendly signals, Zero got in range to the group. "That Brooks' group." Zero said hurt and used the last of his strength to reach them. "Brooks.... Ghost One..... Help." Zero said as he appears in front of Brooks' group, holding his left ribs and then passing out.

"Do you still have a readout on that crystal? Can we still find it?" Jason asked. Before Cooper had a chance to answer, One of the tainted beasts pounced on Cooper, He managed to block the beat's teeth with his own rifle, however the beast was pushing at a greater force than the engineer could manage. The radiation tracking device was going insane and seemed unusable, if that weren't bad enough, it cracked when Copper dropped it. At the same time, a bear like monster morphed it's arm into a long bone structure, that could bend in the middle, the second half was sharp like a blade and hard like iron, This scythe like extension of the creature's arm Swooped down at Jason, attempting to release his neck of the weight of his own skull. The only other infecta soldier that was with them, made a quick dash and was able to bat the beasts away from Cooper before creative a barricade of stone around herself and the engineer. This of cores would not last long, and Jason being the squad leader would have make the decision of what to do next.

                          West Star l Day

Seki was still nowhere to be seen among all the chaos. As Kris glided from tree to tree, Seki coudln't help but smile at what the Tengu had said. 'A distraction?" She said with a faint and ominous lagh. "This IS the distraction." That was the last thing Seki said before turning off communications. With everything that was going on, both ends had left both side spread thinner than usual, Ragnarok would undoubtedly use this opportunity to either attack or set up some sort of observance at the Infecta HQ. And while they did that, Seki would take similar action within Ragnarok's base. essentially she was using Ragnarok to attack the Infecta, and killing two birds with one stone. Seki silently assassinated the Unit protecting Ragnarok's main storage buildings,

Once inside she grabbed a number of weapons and materials she would likely need for later usage. She collected some of the enemies armor as well as 20 inactive Inferno bombs. From there she stealthy made her way to the garage. At this point the smoldering corpses of the unit formerly guarding the storage facility had been discovered, and the entire base went on lock down. There was a loud and unpleasant sounding alarm going off, red lights flashing everywhere and the sounds of yelling voices could be heard everywhere, It would only be a matter of time before Seki was found. Knowing this Seki had Little time to act. The garage was sealed off by heaven and thick steal doors that no living thing could possibly move by force, at least that is with currant technology. Seki Placed her hand on the supposedly immovable wall and began super heating it using her tainted fire crystal. due to her armor bing below that of even a common infecta in terms of technology,

The hottest she could make the wall without damaging her armor, and herself was about 1500°F. Since the heat required to melt iron is around 2750°F, this wasn't even close to being hot enough to melt through the wall. It did however loosen the molecules in the steal wall which made it quite a bit softer than it originally had been. As soon as the metal was hot enough, Seki Jumped back and with a press of a button, Her Rifle named Lucy began to assemble itself before her. Taking the weapon in hand, Lucy aimed down the sight, She charged the weapon using her "Touch of Death" upgrade, which caused the weapon to glow with tainted energy. She loaded a single bullet into the weapon and fired it at the center of the wall. The taint called the weapon to fire with a much greater force, and the ammunition became highly combustible.

It exploded on contact with the wall and left a hole just large enough for Seki to squeeze through. This alerted the entire base of her location, however by the time they had gotten there, Seki had hijacked one of the hellmakers and loaded it wih all of her stolen equipment. Using taint to override the security system She was able to get the vehicle working.. The door to the garage opened to reveal Multible enemy units. The enemy units however were surprised to find the garage seemingly empty, that was until Seki started the crystal reactor engine. With a loud roar, the hellmaker moved forward, Running over and crushing multiple soldiers on her way out. After escaping the garage, the girl made a bee line for the research facility. Apparently Seki had learned the layout of the base from either Kris or some other Ragnarok soldier at some point in the past year.

She stepped on the gas and rammed into the lab at full force, The reckless behavior heavily damaged the hellmaker, and made a large hole in one of the lab walls. Seki quickly gathered her things into a bag, accept for the inferno bombs and quickly exited the vehicle. As she opened the door she was met an attack from one of the 4 guards that were guarding the lab at the time. Using a heavy battleaxe like weapon. The guard swung the axe-like weapon down at the small Infecta girl, but it was quickly evaded. Seki dived forward out of the hellmaker, quickly avoiding the blade. She quickly rotated her body and used her legs to sweep under the guard's feet before getting up on one knee. At this point the armor on her leg had been set ablaze with dark purple flames. With the speed and strength of an Infecta, the girl jumped forward and delivered a roundhouse kick to thee guards mid torso while he was still falling from the leg sweep a moment ago. The force sent him airborne and he clashed with two of his fellow guards.

The three of them were pinned to the wall only for a short moment but in that small time Seki had drawn her revolver and fired three times. They were normal shots but they managed to each hit vital points on the enemy, causing them to die before they even knew what hit them. The final guard attempted to grab her in a bear hug like motion. As seki turned to meat him, she pushed down on his right arm with her elbow, and then extended her forearm to knock away his other hand, using his own momentum against him. Her left hand gripped his face like a vice, and she heated to over 800°F She waited for the flesh to melt from his skull and then she released his skull, letting him fall to the ground with a sickening thud. Seki gave a faint smile. The fire on her legs cooled and eventually went out, as Seki placed the two way communicater back in her ear to regain communication with her Tengu counterpart. "I'm in."

Reacting quickly, Jason grabbed the arm of the Tainted that tried to slice his head off with his left arm, and stopped it in its tracks. In a split second, Jason then wrapped the scythe-like arm with his left arm, aimed his XMA-38 Assault Rifle at the Tainted's other arm, and opened fire. With only a small burst of gunfire, the arm was severed and sent flying, and as soon as it's arm was gone, Jason then jammed the barrel of his rifle into the Tainted's eye socket and let off another burst of gunfire, quickly ending the Tainted's life. After tossing what was left of the Tainted to the ground, Jason looked over to Cooper and thought about what to do next.

Jason knew that this mission was going downhill fast. They were surrounded by Tainted, and if they didn't get out, Cooper would be dead. What Cooper and the other Infecta soldier needed was a distraction. Sure, Jason could escort them out of the jungle, but he knew that Cooper and the other Infecta were not as fast as him. Their suits were not designed for overwhelmingly extensive firefights and brutal combat. Jason knew that the Infecta needed this crystal. The Infecta were hopelessly outnumbered by the Ragnarokans, and they needed all the help they could get. This crystal could be of great help to them, but they weren't going to get it so easily, and Jason wasn't expecting it to be easy. Of course, Jason also wasn't going to give up so easily either. All of a sudden, Jason grabbed the cracked tracking device and spoke to Cooper.

"Cooper, I'm going to give you guys a distraction so that you can get out of here alive. As for me, I'm going to salvage this mission and find that crystal. When I give the signal, I want both you and our rookie to get out of the jungle and back to HQ as fast as possible. Is that understood? Don't worry about getting attacked either. The Tainted won't be able to even touch you by the time I'm done buffering your armor.", Jason said to Cooper.

Following her ally´s path, Kris managed to get close to the Ragnarock´s base ("The biggest threat is the security towers") she thought while aiming her bow to the lone soldier on the tower. Taking a deeo breath, she focused her aim and fired the arrow from her vantage point making a direct hit on the soldier´s knee. He fell down with a pained grunt, but was still alive yet.

The teengu used her abilities to run faster than normal and made a big leap towards the tower, her gloved nails appeared and got stuck on the wall. Kris started climbing her way and got into the tower´s room, the soldier reaching for the panic button was silenced by the fox´s knife slicing the back of his neck ("They always leave the critical places vulnerable")

Using the camera feed, Kris manaeged to follow the destruction of Seki, she smirked at the "subtle" style of working she had. Hearing Seki´s confirmation of being inside the place made the tengu focus on the other parts of thee base "Since you are going deeper, let me lure the panic to another areas" she spoke through their radios.

The comunication and map computer was gladly at the same place as the camera feed so she could focus on all areas. Kris started sending emergency calls on places away from Seki´s location "You got some minutes until they notice they are being tricked" she warned her ally until a bullet hit the wall next to her "Or probably a bit less, enjoy what you got" she closed her comunication and showed her green glowing nails to the attacker
