    Underground Library

Belhedev... Elkana could hardly believe her eyes. The one who casted the first magic spell, the Origin of all magic, was standing in front of her in physical form. She could feel its' overwhelming arcane energy with every cell; it was almost too much to bear.

"The one who should be asking that question... is I." Elkana uttered. "How do you know of this place? I thought the Underground Library was only known above-ground by the Daichis..."

((Posting for Underground Library as it shouldn't conflict too much with S1's post, but after this post I and hopefully Wriggle will wait for him to finish his post.))

((Also expect my NPC app for Belhedev soon, to be added with some modifications to hide certain things until the time is right.))

The man seemed to... chuckle a bit as he slowly walked up to Elkana, but stopped as he could almost feel Elkana's body tense up under his own magical power. With a sigh, the ancient being known as Belhedev spoke.

"Well not just the Daichi's are aware of the Library. Many strong and renowned people across the globe are aware of this place. The other masters of magic at the place of learning that exists above ground know of it, along with many others... both pure... and tainted. This place has simply been safe-guarded all too well over the centuries that this place has existed... As for myself? Well now... I'm simply here to supply this vast place of magical tomes and scrolls with a new entry. I have been on a journey all over this realm, and even realm's past our own. Doing research everywhere I go. I may have created magic, but that does not mean that I know everything there is regarding it. Well I know everyone there WAS regarding magic, but as you know. With the passing of the sands of time... humanity... technology... and magic progress. So I have taken it upon myself to write everything I come across. Observe everything I come across..."

        Underground Library

Observing everything... that must be why the diary she was holding had recordings of various architectural wonders from various time periods. Elkana has only heard legends of how Belhedev has been walking on land since the dawn of civilization; seems like that speculation was true.

Belhedev's sudden advance towards her forced Elkana to step away until she was cornered against the triangular tombstone. She dared to stare into Belhedev's visage to glimpse the answer of every question in the magical realm... no... answer to everything about the universe itself, hidden in the swirling sands within. The sight was as brief as a microsecond or two, but it was enough to nearly break Elkana's vast yet limited mind. Her pupils dilated and shot upwards, her breathing grew faster and faster as if she was hyperventilating, and her heart palpitated out of control: all caused by sudden expansion of her mind.

"I suspect... this is yours as well?" Elkana caught her mind from wandering adrift and held up the leather-covered book she was holding, paying attention not to stare into Belhedev's cloaked visage again. Even opening her mouth trying to speak was an effortful task, since her heart was still racing murderously: it almost felt like an invisible hand has grasped her heart, able to crush it with little effort. Cold sweat emanated and coursed through her entire body, giving it a sleek complexion reflected by the dim light from the sparse lighting sources. The internal body temperature skyrocketed, giving Elkana the feeling of being burned from the inside. Elkana had to grit her teeth and bear through what could arguably be the most physically and mentally stressful event in Elkana's life. "Not just this... but the entire Underground Library... you are its' creator... aren't I right?"

"Yes. That tome is mine. I created it as I have explored most of the locations on this Earth that could hold some interesting properties in the future. However it is just one of many. There are far more scrolls and tomes within this labyrinth of knowledge... but you already know that. For I have seen you on occasion within the last few decades since I have been here. I'm surprised you haven't noticed me all those times. Those many times in which I have even spoken to you personally... I suppose it is because of my power. For people who tend to view me tend to also forget... most because of a little spell I cast. You see everytime I have encountered you, I used an ancient, yet helpful spell that erases your memories of my being. That includes everything you have learned after gazing upon my visage." Replied Belhedov as he held out the nameless book in his hand for Elkana to grab.

"Now as for this library... I cannot release such information. For I just supply this library. There is a scroll far older than the book you have in your hands, and that holds the answers to this Library. However you will have to find it on your own... Anyways, I'd like you to take this book I have in my hand. I ask of you to... come up with a name for it. It's from a realm that exists beyond this earthly realm. Be warned though, for the markings in that book are written in a language never recorded by anyone in this dimension."

Erase her memory...? No wonder Elkana felt a bit hazy and light-headed once in a while. She normally deduced it to be exhaustion and went to sleep, but now that she knew the true reason of her symptoms, Elkana felt a bit... betrayed, as if she was being punished for treading where she shouldn't be.

Elkana hesitantly reached out for the book Belhedev offered her and held it with the other hand. The tome felt oddly comfortable; as if it was written and made just for her. It was a bit heavy, but light enough for Elkana to hold it comfortably in one hand. The leather cover were sleek and smooth to the touch, with no marred or otherwise damaged surface. Elkana flipped through the book to find that it was indeed filled with unknown symbols, pictographs, and charts. The question now was, why?

"Why do you want me to nomenclate this book?" Elkana asked in fervent curiosity. The more answers she received from Belhedev, the more questions arose in her mind.

"Because... I have far more important matters to attend to..." Belhedev spoke as he held out his now empty, three-fingered hand. Then within his hand a small golden orb started to form, with the orb being only as small as a golf ball. As the orb was forming, the being that is Behledev started to slowly approach Elkana while holding out his hand, and the orb within said hand facing Elkana. "Now young child. I'm afraid I must go. As such I must remove the memories of this current moment in time from your mind. I apologize for doing this... but it must be done." Belhedev spoke as the small golden orb then flew out of his hand at a rather... slow speed. If the orb touches Elkana, then all memories of what had transpired just now will be erased, and she will fall into unconsciousnes before waking at her little island.

"No, wait! I have more questions to ask you-" Elkana tried to stop the golden orb from making contact with her, but she could not use any magic in this strange frigid cavern. She could only stare in despair, trapped between the triangular tombstone and the overpowering presence of Belhedev, as the golden orb collided with her forehead.

What followed was oblivion. Her mind slipped into whiteness as she collapsed on her knees, her head declined to face the ground. One could physically see her broken mind through her dead eyes gazing off into the distance as her memory faded to nothingness...

When she opened her eyes and her mind returned, she was back at the uppermost floor of the Underground Library: by the giant tree at the center of the floor where her bed and her workshop were. She was thawed, wiped clean, and in prime condition when she woke up. And as soon as she rose, her head throbbed so hard it felt like it was about to split open.

"Gah..." Elkana could only moan in pain as her mind mended the empty hole in her memory. "Damn that stupid..."

Elkana allowed few minutes for the headache to subside, then turned to pick up the book Belhedev gave her. It still felt very comfortable to hold, and the covers, the pages, and the bookmarks were still in their best condition possible. Elkana flipped to the first page, then the second, then the third, but the texts were indecipherable. She hoped for the pictures to give her some context about the book, but they only added to the confusion in Elkana's mind.

"Well, might as well try and crack the code, I suppose." Elkana shrugged, put the book back on her bed, and left to start the research. She swore she saw a book about otherworldly languages somewhere...

                  Orientation | Trinity Soul University

As the orientation ended, Zoe was quite... distraught about how short, and... boring the speech was. She thought that this 'Orientation' thing would be more fantastical and all, but it turned out to be quite underwhelming. Her distraught over this was obvious with her disappointed cry of disappointment. "Aww that was such a let down! I mean come on really!? I thought it would be a lot more fun! I've heard better speeches from kids!" Zoe proclaimed as she crossed her arms and began pouting.

However when Cale suddenly poked his head right in-between Sonya and Zoe, Zoe turned to Cale and let out a quick, startled yelp indicating her surprise of him just suddenly budding into her and Sonya's business. Along with her startled yelp, Zoe instinctively took the tip of her tail and wrapped it around Cale's neck and began to squeeze tightly, practically beginning to strangle the young man out of sheer reflexes.

                    Orientation - Trinity Soul University

Moving deeper and deeper into the dispersing crowd, Trista could almost see the makeshift stage within reach. Well, as much as she could make out from within the crowd. It did not help that the girl's small height and figure made it very hard to see above the heads of the other students. But as she crept closer to the stage, Trista couldn't help but feel an unusual sensation. A small jolt in her spine. A feeling as if she was being watched. Could it be that the Headmaster had already seen her approaching the stage? Or was someone following her? Needless to say, this did not help Trista's current state as it was. With each step Trista's heartrate increased and her fear and tension only rose. This approach to the stage meant everything to her. While she was going to be standing in front of all of her peers, Trista did not know as to whether or not she'd get another opportunity like this again. And that only served to Trista's detriment. If she gave up now, what would happen to her? Where would she go? What would she even do in this university without any guidance? The all important answer to her question: "Can anyone even teach me about my element?"

With time, Trista slowly made her way up on the stage. As she could see upon arrival, there were already quite a handful of students speak to the staff members. Most of the people present were already engaged with one another so Trista's presence wasn't that much of an intrusion. It was very unusual to Trista. When had began her approach up to the stage, Trista thought that all eyes would be fixed upon her. Each of the staff staring intensely upon the small Trista. Judging her. Assessing the way she walked, talked. Possibly even questioning her magical capabilities. Thankfully, as all of the staff members were occupied, Trista needn't worry about such a thing. All she needed to do was find the Headmaster amongst the small crowd and that was that.

Much to Trista's delight, the small girl found the Headmaster very quickly. Located at the very centre of the stage towards the front, Trista saw the old man surrounded by but a few individuals. Some talking amongst each other and a few talking to the Headmaster himself. Slowly and cautiously, Trista slipped her way amongst the group and gently tugged at the Headmaster's coat to get his attention.

Sonya jumped when she heard Cale's voice. "No, not him." She thought and turned slowly, only to see him being strangled by Zoe. "Don't sneak up on people." She said to him. "Zoe, you can loosen your grip but still keep him tied up." She said to Zoe as she covers her chest and turns her back towards him.

Ryofu listened to what the headmaster said and stood up. "............. dorm." Getting her room was what was on her mind now.

"That was boring." Raylin said with her hands behind her head. "Should we look for Zero or get our rooms?" Amata asked. "Zero can handle himself, let's get our rooms." Raylin said and the twins started to leave orientation.

Did she get lost? Lynne asked as she perused through the crowd. Cecilia did show herself as a bit on a clumsy side, asking Lynne to draw a map and all... but would she really forget that she came with her and left on her own? What if she got into trouble? What if-

Lynne then saw a brown haired girl in a ponytail run towards the Restaurant District. Something about the ponytail made her look like Cecilia, and compelled Lynne to chase after her... too bad she can't shout at her to stop...

                        Shopping District

Since the Orientation's end, students who needed to buy things flocked in the Shopping District. They came in all shape, size and gender: from a wimpy little boy to a tall woman with haughty glances and arrogant struts. However, none were as out-of-place as this one person.

"Hmm... I told the Matriarch I would be okay shopping on my own..."

A girl who had two branches growing out of her head muttered to herself. She had a long, silver hair that gathered to one point as it fell down to her thighs, blue eyes clear as a lake in the middle of a forest, and a very skinny body without any distinguishable curve. The branches on her head wasn't from a headband or even glued; the branches looked like they were growing out of her head. She had a very chic and almost mono attire consisting of a white dress shirt with black tie, beige miniskirt, black pantyhose, and a pair of black dress shoes. She wandered around aimlessly, not knowing where to go apparently.

"But now that I'm here, I don't know where to start..." The tree-head girl looked down at a piece of paper with a list of what to buy... sadly, the tree-girl knew less than half of the things written on the list, and didn't know where to buy any of them. "If only I listened to the Matriarch..."

Cecilia wandered about, confused. "I think we came from this direction, right?" However, the brunette was walking in the opposite direction of the dorms. And she had forgotten to leave with Lynne, the excitement of wanting to grab her money from her room for a few snacks with her new friends had caused her to clumsily go off on her own. "I can go get my money and we can have lunch on me! That'd be great, since I was able to save up so much... Plus my parents give me monthly allowance as well, even though it's only $100, it's enough for some food!" She smiled before looking around, realizing she was getting lost. Pushing though the crowd gently, muttering the occasional excuse me and sorry, she made it to a spot with less people. "Huh, this isn't the dorms at all... Wow, wait, is this the Shopping District? This is so cool!" Cecilia, being the clumsy girl she is, while looking at all the store fronts she failed to notice that she was about to collide with another student until it was too late, as she bumped into a girl's chest just as she turned her head. Cecilia's face went right into the other student's chest, a slight pause before she started to stutter. "Kyaaaa-!" Her face was a bright red as she realized the plush feel of another girl's chest. "A-ah, I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean to do this..!" Stepping back, she covered her red face with her hands, shaking her head. "I can't believe I'm this clumsy..! I'm so very sorry!"

The tree-horn girl squealed in a quite cute way as Cecilia accidentally ran into her chest, almost as soon as Cecilia did. Several students around them turned their heads to see what was going on, and they will find a short brunette girl covering her blushing face and a taller, silver-haired girl holding onto her chest.

"Ah... wh- who are you? Why did you headbutt me?" The tree-head girl asked with more of a surprise than an anger, but Cecilia's flushed apologies eased her heart. "Oh... it was accidental... it's okay."

Ahhh, don't think about that, I might fall in love with those kind of thoughts! She probably thinks I'm crazy and she's so cool looking and she has that aura of coolness...
