Theres the basic narrowing. Next, He knew I was part of the fight. Only few know that I was there. Only three people would know due to the fact that everyone was taking shelter inside: Me, John, and the announcer. Finally, I was listening to your conversation earlier. First of all, like I mentioned earlier, only three people knew of the fight, so how would he know about it right away, and secondly, no one died except the announcer. Every engineer is in this room. Although it's not completely certain, it's a high probability that the robot is... The announcer! He must be trying to finish John off! We must hurry to him!"
I went outside.

Oh look, a yellow humanoid fox. Maybe it knows where John is. I walk up to the fox.

"We've got to find him, but we also have to be careful. When I was looking him over, I could see that he was made out of a high-quality alloy. I don't know what, but I think that robot's ready for war. Do you think EMPs would work?"

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.
