Chris who was injured from the blast manages to stand up. He then sees Nemesis dispose of the Rocket Launcher and slowly making it's way to him. Nemesis then extends it's arm as it is about to grab Chris and impale him with one of it's spear-like tentacles.
Unfortunately for Gerard the Nemesis isn't in the line of fire just yet. However Chris despite his injury drops his guns. "Okay big guy... let
s see what you got!" Yelled Chris as he begins unleashing blow after blow of heavy punches, not enough to knock back Nemesis, but enough to daze it slightly. However Chris is grabbed by the neck by the creature. As Nemesis is about to finish off Chris, Chris manages to get one of his arms free. Chris then takes a Hand Grenade and pulls the pin out with his teeth and jams the grenade in the beasts mouth. Chris then kicks Nemesis in the gut, causing it to drop Chris who landed on the ground and rolled out of the way. "Fire!" He yelled as the grenade exploded, stunning Nemesis who was now in the line of fire.

The replica held up a hand which with the help of darkness protected them from the bullets.
He then spoke to Jason and Huey. "If you can't help then just get away from here."

Jason saw the darkness and light and ran out of the battle area.
John darted to the dark Spartan's flank and let loose a barrage of explosive darkness orbs.

John pulled him closer and pulled out his combat knife, stabbing the dark Spartan's inner thigh.

As the round from the Rail Cannon was fired it struck Nemesis with enough force to send it flying. Nemesis fell to the ground after the smoke cleared, presumed to be dead. Chris however stands up, holding his side due to the sheer amount of pain he was experiencing.
