X was heading off to a... Kappa tavern?
Inside the tavern was a lone Kappa maiden washing the cups. She looked older than both Nitori and Mitori, and more elegant that way, with crisp white hair tied to a ponytail and a skinny black dress with matching shawl.
"How can I help you?" The madame asked.

"Right, that's that." Eirin picked up her arrows scattered on the ground. "Now, who's injured-"
"Hakurei Shrine is under heavy attack. We need to back Yukari up and defend." Patchouli reported.
"Then we must go at once."
"Actually, I have an alternate solution." Admiral Submos, who just managed to get himself out of the rubble, argued.
"Right now, Nameless Hill is being used as the hub of supply line for the siege of Hakurei Shrine. If we use guerilla warfare to take the lightly guarded Ameless Hill, we can cut their supply and they will have to retreat."

Hakurei Shrine, under Siege
John's tank blast only managed to slightly warp the enemy tank's armor.
The enemy tank turned its gun towards John's tank and fired, blowing it up.
There was a large cloud of smoke obscuring the tank from view.
Was John dead? Did he make it out in time?
All of a sudden, John emerged from the smoke and charged at the enemy tank.
John had gone into Spartan Time.
John dodged the rain of plasma fire as he quickly approached the tank.
John pulled out his MA5D Assault Rifle and shot the gunner, killing it.
John then hopped onto the tank and began to viciously punch away at the tank's armor.
The first punch dented the armor, the second punch heavily warped the spot, and the third one went straight through the armor.
John then pulled out one of his frag grenades, primed it, and tossed it into the newly formed hole.
John could hear screaming inside of the tank as he jumped off, then an explosion.
The tank exploded into a rain of broken parts and armor.
Another tank focused its attention to John, then another, then another.
Eventually, the five remaining tanks all had their sights set on John.
John sprinted out of the way as they all fired, trying to kill their new threat.
John zig-zagged his way towards the tanks, straight towards the many grunts guarding them.
John gunned down four grunts, then switched out to his Gravity Hammer.
John supn as he sprinted and once he completed the 360, John used all of that momentum to annihilate the grunts in his swinging arc.
BVVVVVVV
The Gravity Hammer roared as the grunts in front of John exploded, flew across the battlefield, or both.
A grunt charged at John with a Plasma Spear, but John quickly countered with his Gravity Hammer, killing the spear holder and everything around it.
John heard one of the tanks fire a blast.
He jumped to the side and the giant ball of plasma smashed into the ground, burning the grass and leaving a crater of hot earth.
John spun towards the tank and put away his Gravity Hammer.
He then charged full speed at the tank, as if he was planning to smash into it.
John pulled out his M6D Magnum Pistol and fired at the gunner, killing him.
The tank's operator drove the tank at full speed, ready to splatter John all over the ground.
At the last possible second, John brought his fist up, smashed it into the ground, and locked his armor.
The tank smashed right into John and the armor crumpled.
John got back up and grabbed the edges of the armor plate.
John pulled with all of his might, trying to rip the plate off.
The metal groaned and screeched until it finally broke off, leaving the tank's internals exposed John pulled out his gravity hammer and got ready to swing, but the tank moved away, trying to escape.
The tank operator fired the main gun at John, but John jumped 40 feet into the air avoiding the blast.
Another tank fired at John as he came down onto the tank almost hitting him.
John landed right in front of the tank and quickly swung his Gravity Hammer.
The tank exploded as the internals shot into the driver's face, killing it.
John then turned his attention the next tank, onlt tot be met with a giant plasma ball near his face.
John quickly ducked and the plasma came millimeters close to John.
John dashed at the tank as the others fired at him, trying to stop him before it was too late.
John jumped and landed right on top of the gunner, crushing it beneath his boots.
He then ripped the turret off of the tank, aimed it down, and fired a hail of plasma into the hull.
The tank caught fire and John jumped off, shooting at it while in mid-jump.
The tank then exploded as he landed.
(Four to go...), John thought to himself as he charged the next one.

Suddenly, the tank John charged at started to rise, and was impaled by one of the large pillars from earlier, and the animate skeletons and large scorpion creatures started flooding out, attacking both Nucleoids and the local forces. Three of the scorpions aimed at John and fired their pincer miniguns.
(Oh yeah, you can't dodge their bullets unless you're in cover. That's hitscan weapons for ya.)

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

"John! Hi!" Flandre smiled and waved at John. "So many people to play with! I'm so happy! Can I join? Pleeeeeease?"

Renamon took an soldier´s lance and knocked out most of the ones surrounding the mortar, she then decided to use the device
("Alright, let´s see how acurate this things are") the fox thought aiming to another mortar and fired, the screeching sound of the bullet could deaf her senses for some seconds as the round rocketed to the mortar on the other side hitting dead mark on it
Preparing to destroy the machine she used, the fox piled up more rounds and exploded the thing with ease

((The cause behind Zero's "pain" he's experiencing is the Maverick Virus running through his systems. Spreading quickly the virus cannot be detected [Well it's incredibly hard to.] Zero literally has no damage. Zero does get stronger by the virus, but before it actually fills his systems enough to where he will actually get a boost in power from it he will be experiencing bouts of pain, and dizziness.))
