Otori watched on. He saw her in the worst condition ever.

"... Hmph. Look at you. You basically tore yourself in half trying to maintain that... But..."

    He turned around.

"... You're lucky to even be alive... Keep your insanity to a dull roar, would you?"

He began walking, but then stopped. He thought to himself. Those were the same words he told Frank... Only she wasn't pierced in the abdomen with a rusty piece of steel.

"... Jason, I would suggest laying low for now. Sure you can heal her, but what if you overdo it? You didn't look so hot recovering me. Let's get her somewhere safe before you heal her."

He created a wind bed to lift her.

      Everbloom Forest: Titanium Mines

As the explosion went around the whole mine, Kris held the ice barrier as much as she could, the ice having small cracks and pieces melting for a bit of time ("Almost done.. just a bit more") she thought as the fire surrounded them

Finally the fire went down and became a small flame in the remnants of the mine, or now a crater that replaced it. The huntress lifted off the ice barrier and it melted as she took a deep breath to relax her mind "That was really close, you are a good magi-" she was congratulating Seki when she noticed the girl was barely conscious and hurt from her own magic

Quickly getting on her knees, Kris took out the red berries squeezing some of them "These berries will paralize what they touch so the pain will calm down until you get a proper healing" she said while pouring some of the juice on the girlīs body just enough to calm the muscle strain. Now taking her last purple berries, the huntress lifted Sekiīs face "Eat these, they will revitalize your energies" she said putting the berries in the girlīs mouth

In a single instant, everything shook.

The ice may have saved them, but the nuclear hell Seki unleashed shined through the ice. Jason closed his eyes and looked away. He could hear Seki screaming, but he couldn't do much of anything to help. He was still supporting Kris's ice shield. After the shaking stopped, Jason looked over to Kris trying to help Seki. Jason knelt down next to Kris and began to assist in trying to at least increase Seki's chances for survival.

"... Jason, I would suggest laying low for now. Sure you can heal her, but what if you overdo it? You didn't look so hot recovering me. Let's get her somewhere safe before you heal her.", Otori said.

Jason turned his head over to Otori and spoke.

"It might be too late if we wait. I'm not about to put her at more risk than she's already in. I don't have to worry too much about dying, but she does.", Jason said in a serious tone.

Jason then quickly turned his attention to Seki and began his work.

Using the same method he used for Otori, Jason began to speed up Seki's healing rate. The burns on Seki's hands shriveled up and eventually disappeared as Jason continued to focus his magic on her. Next, he augmented Kris's method of revitalizing her by speeding up the effect of the berries and using his own magic to speed up Seki's recovery rate.

Jason was starting to feel it, the strain of trying to revitalize his fallen friend. Despite his strain, he continued to repair the damage and increase Seki's chances for survival.

He sighed. Jeez, I'm surrounded by lunatics... But hell, it might not be that bad becoming one myself.

"Alright. But you're gonna be the one I'll be carrying to safety at this rate."

While he was awaiting the healing, Otori finished filling the capsule. ... You know... He might go far... But far has it's meanings. Right HM?

HM had finally reached home. He was out of breath.

Damn! He's gotten stronger... But not strong eno-

Then he noticed: the fire taboo. He didn't know who did it, but all he knows is that he remembers that spell. He remembers being near it. Just looking at it, he could already feel the heat... That's when he lost it.

"GYAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! Why does this feel so damn nostalgic?!?!?"

He rushed over to the omputer and instantly issued a hunting session.

To all it may concern, here has been a recent explosion nearby by a powerful fire mage. Requirements? Hunt down this mage and bring him or her dead or alive.

He sent the message to everyone, from soldiers to commanders.

Seki looked on more dazed then usual as she rested in the arms of the huntress. She had no idea what was going on but suddenly there were berries put into her mouth. She was too tired to even chew at this point. She simply swallowed the berries whole before her eyes shut, and she slept right there in the forest as the huntress held to her.

Kris looked at the now sleeping girl and smiled "She may be a strong magician, but in the end she is still a young girl" she said lifting up Seki and getting up ready to walk away from the mines, she then looked at Jason "Good job Jason, take these to calm your physical stress, you will need them" she said handling him the last purple berries

Preparing to leave the forest, the huntress tied the fire magician on her back with some ropes in a piggyback style "Our best path is to leave society for some time, follow me I got some safe places in the mountainous areas up north" she said already walking with the unconscious girl on her back

After flying away from Seki and the boy, Sidna had looked over herself to see what damage the boy had done.
She had been hit several place, but none of them were severe. That had caused her to slow down however.

When she opened up her backpack she noticed that a spike had gone right through her robe.
This was not one of those diguise robes. This was one of those that looked more exotic and interesting.
("Once we catch that boy I will have so much fun with him.")

Suddenly a huge blast of warmth hits her. Towards the forest abou where the mine have been she see a huge nuclear fire.
("That's one of the forbidden ones isn't it. I'm not sure if she can pull it of tough. If she can she will be to exhauted to do anything else.
It would be the perfect time to strike. I'm not in top condition however. I guess I'll just have to leave it at giving them a present.")

Sidna took her disguised staff, opened up the hole on the top and dropped a piece of pottasium inside. She then created some water in the other end.
Lastly she made sure that thepiece of pottasium only moved if the staff was moven on the ground or from the ground. She then threw the staff towards the mine.
("It was useless anyway because of the leak.")

                  Everbloom Forest: Titanium Mines

Jason was a sickly pale color and was sweating, due to the strain he had put himself through. He was light-headed and close to passing out.
Just before he was about to lose consciousness, Kris handed him some berries.

"Good job Jason, take these to calm your physical stress, you will need them."

Upon hearing Kris's offer, Jason took the berries and ate them without hesitation. All he wanted was for his horrible fatigue to pass. After eating the berries, Jason felt as if he was instantly getting better. Perhaps it was a Placebo, or perhaps they just worked that fast. The only thing that mattered was that Jason was now able to stand up.

"Thanks.", Jason said to Kris as she began to carry Seki on her back.

"Our best path is to leave society for some time, follow me I got some safe places in the mountainous areas up north.", Kris said as she began to walk away.

"Can we make a stop at my house first? I have some things that will make the trip easier.", Jason said to Kris as he picked up his bucket full of Titanium ingots and walked beside her.

Checking on the sleeping magician, Kris looked at the surroundings, checking if there was any scout or archer around ("Looks like there is no one around, probably ran away from the explosion and left us like dead") she thought preparing her bow just in case if she was wrong

Hearing Jasonīs words, the huntress answered him "Ok, but we must move fast, Tyrus men could have ran from the explosion, but that doesnīt stop them from coming back". Moving around the barely standing buildings, the huntress looked at an entrance

"Hey, how far to the north does this mine go? is there a chance there is another exit in the mountain areas?" Kris sked Jason

HM's army had gathered the instant that they heard. HM was about to give out orders, but he was still a bit... Glitchy.

"Men!!! I would like to show *gyeha* what you are up against! You are *eheh* about to face a high leveled fire mage *teehee*. You are known as the assassin group for a *snicker* reason. Your tactical silence skills are unrivaled to others *heehee*, therefore you are known famously as he *haha* killer wind, you never see it coming. Now then, *heha*.. Move out!!!"

HM owned a group known for their skills in silent assassination skills, quite contradictory to his outbursting personality. The soldiers moved silently through the forrest like ninjas.

"Hey, how far to the north does this mine go? is there a chance there is another exit in the mountain areas?" Kris asked Jason.

Jason recalled all of the mining tunnels in the mine. Many of them were branched out and stretched on for about a mile, but for the most part, they all led to a dead end. Jason did remember his father talking about emergency tunnels, but Jason didn't know where to look.

(Perhaps my dad has the layout at home? I hope so...), Jason thought as he scratched the back of his head.

"I think so. A couple of weeks ago, my dad talked about wanting add emergency tunnels to the mine. I'm not sure if they were ever finished though. Heck, I'm not even sure where they are or where they even lead. There's a chance that he drew out the plans at home, but then it will be a matter of luck whether or not they're even finished.", Jason said to Kris.

It was then when they finally reached Jason's house in the forest and entered inside.

The interior was relatively plain, except for the burns on the walls, blood on the floor, and various contraptions and tools laying in the corner of the room and around the house.

Heraing the possible chance of having an emergency cave was like a double edged sword ("Hm.. we may get into a dead end and have to get back, but there is also a chance to have an escape route") she thought looking back at the forest.

"Well, we have 2 options, go through the forest and have the risk of encountering any of Tyrus men or we can search for that emergency cave, but if there is no end in the cave, we just go back to the forest path" Kris explained starting to search for any map or sketch of the mines. She was focusing on some blueprints until she noticed something erased on a map of the mines

The huntress slowly traced the still seen marks "Look at this, it is a possible path in the mines, it is erased to some point, but there is no mark of blockage or rock falling on it"

The assassin squad can cover twice a much track as HM could. They were deep into the forest.

                            "Commander, do you copy?"

"Loud and clear. Explain why you would contact me in the middle of a mission."

"My apologies, but you did, however, forget to tell us the conclusions."

"Ah, right away *stupid, stupid, stupid, how could I forget?!*. Anyhow, this is what I gather. From the direction in which the smoke is rising, it should be north. You're headed in the right direction. Also, based on the type of smoke, I can tell it's a smelting smoke mixed in. Smelting means a mine shaft. I judged the distance and did the research and concluded that it was in a nearby titanium mine, so investigate there. As for the one who caused this, there is a wide variety of fire users, so I can't pinpoint one or two. However, the one that is most likely to be it is a recent fire user in which commander Sidna knows about. If that is the case, then be wary, for there is at least one other. Watch out fo said fire user. She is psychotic and drove Sidna to a dangerous spot. Oh, and one other precaution: keep away from a man in a suit with light brown eyes and dark red hair. He is just as dangerous as I. However, do not kill him either. He has met certain conditions. Just don't mess with him, he wouldn't care less for you all. Did everyone get all that?!"

Then everyone said simultaneously, "Yes sir!!!"

                              Everbloom Forest: Jason's home

Jason took a look at the map and saw what Kris was pointing to. There was a section partially erased. Perhaps a mistake?

"That might be one, or it could be my dad moving tunnels. Like I said before, it's all luck now.", Jason said as he grabbed a large backpack from the coat hanger near the door and walked past the large bloodstain in the middle of the floor.

Jason ignored the bloodstain, afraid to trigger the memory of watching his father die. Jason pushed the thought away and walked into his father's workshop.

The workshop had workbenches and tables littered with various pieces of scrap metal and materials, many of which looked as if they were ready to be assembled, but abruptly interrupted.
After putting his bucket of Titanium Alloy ingots on one of the tables, Jason walked over to his father's filing cabinet and opened it up. Inside the cabinet was blueprints of many different kinds of items. Some were for battle purposes and some were simple things, like sculptures and rings. Jason grabbed the stacks of papers and put them inside the large bag. He then placed the ingots into the bag, closed it up, and returned to the room Kris was in.
