Nicholas was surprised that his soulbound appeared, but simply smiled as he admired the beautifully crafted blade. After Jason spoke, Nicholas looked at Jason for a moment, then at the knife before making a couple soft pokes in the air before looking back at their new leader.

"Yep. I think I got it down.", Nicholas jokingly said before waiting for Jason's response.

Koishi just looked like she had just saw the most awe-inspiring, legendary thing anyone had ever seen, eyes dilated, ear-to-ear grin, along with a quiet squeeing noise upon the realization that it was her hat. Some would swear her face even sparkled a little.

"Yay! My favoritest thing in the whole wide world!" Koishi took off her hat and hugged it a little, before looking at it, at various angles, before thinking. "Hm... What can you do, little friend?"

Her first thought was to reach inside it. She always liked storin' stuff in there, so...

Her hand went down to the shoulder. "Ooo. Guess I don't need my suitcase no more."

She pulled out a snickerdoodle, which she munched on. "Mhm, still good."

Another thought occurred to her. What if she chucked it? She arced a little toss, holding the snickerdoodle in her mouth, aiming towards the dummy. The hat flew in a straight line and at surprising speed, cleaving through the side of the dummy and embedding itself in the wall.

"Oh no, sorry Mr. Dummy, I didn't mean it!" Koishi looked a little panicked as she moved towards the dummy, arm outstretched, the hat coming right back to her hands. "Oh. Um, Mr. Dummy, i'll.... i'll fix you!"

She moved up to the dummy in question, putting some of it's stuffing back into the very clean slice.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

The sight of new Prophets trying to figure out their Soulbound was delightfully entertaining to Jason. First addressing Nick, he said: "Now now, Soulbounds are not normal tools. Sure you can swing it around and stab the Omen, but you must try and discover what other aspects it has. Try and communicate; see if you can discover what they know."

Koishi seemed to be doing better than Jason expected. She seems to have discovered both the combat and non-combat use for her newly acquired Soulbound hat. However, her naivety still showed when she accidentally made a dent on one of the dummies and promptly apologized for it. She would soon realize it was a futile effort as the dummy's dent seemingly mended on its' own.

"Bahahaha! Don't fret, little one. The dummies here can withstand a nuclear detonation and still regenerate itself. Trade secret from my master before she passed away, that is." Jason assured Koishi. "I see you have discovered some uses for your Soulbound there. You can keep practicing using that dummy. Don't worry, it won't fight back."

Nicholas looked down at his blade and closed his eyes as he thought to the blade.

(Okay Soulbound, what can you do...), Nicholas thought as he searched for the blade's capabilities.

Surprisingly enough, it seemed that this task was a little bit easier than summoning the blade itself. Whether this was because summoning was harder or if he was getting better, Nicholas didn't know, but now he at least knew what the blade could do. As the knowledge came to him, Nicholas seemed to almost be in a trance as he felt some kind of energy flow through him, invigorating him and strengthening him. In that moment, Nicholas opened up his eyes and proceeded to suddenly dash over to the dummy much faster than a normal human would, leaving a faint trail of indigo-ish white energy before slashing at the dummy, although when he did, what looked like one slash was more like three. As it turned out, his Soulbound seemed to interact with Nicholas on some metaphysical level.

"Huh. Now I guess I know what it does.", Nicholas said.

"Oh." Koishi said upon realizing. "It's still polite, though."

She went back to postulating, ignoring Nicholas's stabbing on the other dummy. "Hm.... what else..." She had another brainstorm. Three in a row! She was on a roll. She stuck the brim into the dummy, sticking it there, and then quickly twisted the top of the hat. The brim spun like a sawblade, but it also appeared to extend the brim of the hat.

"Cooool." Koishi then tried spinning it the other way, and the brim shrank back to normal size. "Really coooool."

She pulled the hat out, and patted the dummy once more. "Okies, I think i've learned a bit of stuffins. Dunno what else it could do, if anything." Koishi then hugged her hat. "But have my bestest hat be my friend in fightin' is nice."

"Good thinking there, so I can give you an advise" Mirabelle leaned on the corner of the ring as her knuckles were redder than normal, yet she was still smiling "Keep an eye on things, yet" she lifted a finger "act natural, I may be an airhead in some stuff" she made a knocking gesture on her head "but I got good senses" she then shrugged "That is how I evade most of the students pranks, or even use them against them"

"uhh..." Misaka blinked at the girl with a confused look on her face. Why was she whispering, and why did she tell her to act natural? was someone watching them? were their cmras set up in the gym? DID SHE CHANGE IN FRONT OF CAMRAS?! If life was a cartoon, Misaka would have had little red question marks popping out of her head right about now. Her cheeks turned red, but for the most part he looked normal. "I don't understand" she whispered back after a few moments of awkward silence.

The pinkette raised an eyebrow at the questioning look in Misaka´s face, even more with what she said "Uh.. what I meant i that many students show small signs of what they do or think, so if you can see those things, you can pretty much outwit them without being uber smart"

,,,Oh... yeah i knew that..." she said while blushing slightly and looking at the suddenly interesting wall. Just then Misaka could her her stomach growling, it had been a while since they had eaten and all this oversize was working up an appetite. "Hey umm. Are you hungry at all? I could cook us something if you want."

"A dagger that serves as an energy conduit, and a hat with the brim of a saw hat. The more apprentices I train, the more and more I am fascinated about the variety of the Soulbound." Jason smiled, absolutely proud of the two initiates. It will take them a bit more time for the real training, but for now they made good progress.

"Well, it's getting quite late, and I'd only assume you two must be absolutely exhausted. I can prepare guest rooms for you two to spend the night in or, if you're not comfortable sleeping at a strange place, escort you back to your homes. What say you two?"

Nicholas did feel that he should go home, but then again, it couldn't hurt just to lodge here. After all, the residents of this place seemed like nice people. Besides, he would rather not have to fend off an Omen tonight, and his paranoia was already on high alert after what happened earlier. In the end, it would be best to sleep here, although he would at least need to find a way to wash his clothes, or get a new set, due to him having nothing else to wear but the clothes he was wearing now and the ones in his backpack. To Nicholas, it just seemed a little unconventional to wear the same unwashed clothes for consecutive days. It wasn't repulsive to him to wear unwashed pants twice, but it was out of habit.

"Here would be good, but I have to ask, is there a washer and dryer? I have to prepare for tomorrow.", Nicholas said to Jason.

"Here's fine with me." Koishi replied, putting her hat back where it belonged. "My home's not much of a home anywho. 'sides, bit far away and you might have cushy beds."

"The laundry room's downstairs. We tried to cram everything in upstairs but the building code didn't allow that." Jason shrugged as he observed the dummies repairing themselves. What marvelous magic his old master used on them, Jason thought to himself as he turned to Bora who was watching patiently. "Bora, dear, why don't you show the young man where to do his laundry?"

"Sure thing, Jason." Bora nodded casually and guided Nick. "Follow me. I'll guide you."

"As for you, Koishi, let's find you a guest room you can sleep in." Jason then addressed to Koishi as he prepared to leave the training room, his hand beckoning her to follow him.

Nicholas was glad that the building had a laundry room. That meant that he wouldn't have to head home and get more clothes.

"Okay, lead the way.", Nicholas said to Bora.

To be honest, Nicholas was still quite a bit surprised that Bora was fully recovered in such a short amount of time. Normally, such a wound would have at least hospitalized her for a good few days, not just a couple hours, but it was good to see that one of the people that had saved him was alright. Still, he was rather curious about how she recovered. With such a question in mind, Nicholas decided to ask.

"So, uhh.. how is the injury from before? Is there any indication it was there?", Nicholas asked as he followed her.

"Oh, coming!" Koishi realized she was being beckoned, and merrily skipped across the length of the room before she got to Jason's side.

"So, uh... since i'm doing this whole prophet thing now...." Koishi started, looking a little nervous. "I might need somewhere more... uh, permanant to stay. The motel's bill is still really high for some reason, and it's the cheapest I could find!" Koishi explained. "And maybe find another job or somethin'."

"I mean, I... don't mean here, but I wouldn't exactly mind...." Koishi's voice shrank a little in embarassment as she continued.
