anyways, I have a question regarding the duels Oneira had or the tournaments in general.

How powerful are the duelists and the rules regarding how much magic can be used or the skills needed to be in the tournaments

Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

I was gonna expand on duelling but I guess now is as good of a time as any to answer some of the questions.

Magical duelling rules are mostly simple. Here's a sample of the MDC's duelling regulations:
  1. Duellists, though are permitted to use large quantities of force, may not intentionally mutilate, grievously-harm, or outright murder their foes. Duellists must also take precaution as to not accidentally cause any of the above. Any incident of death or mutilation at the hands of a duellist will result in the match being ended in a tie and the offender(s) will be subject to legal action.
    ((tl;dr bruises, bleeding, and minor damage to limbs and torso are fine. Anything above that is risky or outright banned. The goal is to make the opponent submit or KO them. Not kill them.))
  2. Duellists can use any manner of spell and techniques as long as said method:
    • is not outright banned by the MDC or by any global duelling associations.
    • does not allow the duellist to render themselves: fully invincible/immune to damage for extended periods, able to escape the ring/battleground, and/or in a condition that may be deadly to themselves or the public.
    • does not destroy MDC property, the ring, or harm members of the public.

    ((tl;dr you can use most of your spells. But please don't be an idiot and blow the place up or make yourself OP.))
  3. Usage of weapons is permitted in the ring in non-elemental league divisions. Weapons may only be permitted if they are used in conjunction with the duellist's magic and doesn't break any of the other rules. As such, weapons and implements such as surgical equipment, explosive devices like C4 and grenades, any form of gun/rifle/ranged ballistic weapon, etc. are not permitted.
    ((tl;dr swords, spears, bows, and some other weapons are fine. But you're here to perform magic! If you're gonna simply swing a sword around with little mana, you should just be a gladiator.))
  4. If a duellist has surrendered or has submitted, the opponent must cease fighting with them. Any excessive force after the duellist has conceded defeat will result in a penalty and possible disqualification.
    ((Be modest. Don't kick your enemy when they're already down.))

Anything I missed? I can add more if you think there are loopholes or something missing.

As for Kristia's other question:
The foes that Oneira fights in the MDC range from being as strong as a well-trained mage (think someone who passed TSU with good grades and has been continuing to hone their skills since) to as powerful as Daichi or stronger. The MDC gets quite a number of powerful competitors on the international level. And this is only talking about the leagues she partakes in. I have no clue as to who the MDC's World Champion is nor could I imagine how powerful they may be. In MDC, Oneira only partakes in the MDC Light Magic and Alternate Magic Divisions, MDC Europe Continental Championship, and will partake in the World Cup. There's a whole lot of duellists that are more powerful than her in the more brutal leagues like the Fire, Dark, and Earth Element Divisions.
To give a further scale, though Oneira is rather famous, she is far from all-powerful. She's strong, no doubt, but there's a large number of duellists in the MDC that outmatch her. It's why she rarely wins MDC Europe Continental and the Light Magic Division. Even the TSU teachers could give her a run for her money if they can outsmart her (assuming they need to).

well then, I had the idea of Yuugi trying to spar with Oneira, yet Toriel would intervene and test how far would the wolf animalia go for a sport.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Only sustic actually knows how strong Mr. Daichi actually is. Not really a proper unit of measurement if the unit itself has not been measured. I also don't care for the way that sounds. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it or looking at it the wrong way but it sounds like you're saying that she's been consistently besting people stronger than the headmaster who is supposed to be one of the strongest characters within the rp. Now, that's not to say that no character can be stronger than the headmaster. It's perfectly within the realm of possibility that one of the other teachers could be his equal or superior when it comes to magic as a lot of the teachers are hundreds if not thousands of years older than he is. That isn't the problem. However I don't think it should be so casually written off. Strongest or not he IS the headmaster for a reason.

Also just to be clear I'm not mad nor am i trying to start a fight with anyone. I'm simply voicing some conserns I have with what you said in your last post. So please dont' take anything I've said as an attack on your character.

@Tewi
Fights =/= beats. If Oneira fought Daichi, there is a high-likelihood she'd lose.

EDIT: Also, I'd advise that you read my post in full (though nobody ever does). I mentioned something like this towards the end of my post. Yes, my posts have been vague. But I in no way am trying to imply some kind of bs when I am trying to say the exact opposite.
Oneira is not powerful. How much more direct do I need to be?

EDIT EDIT: Yeah... Sorry if I came off as aggressive there. I just really hate it when stuff like this happens. I should honestly work on my phrasing and whatnot. I f*cking hate it... I f*cking hate when I can never get my point across and have it interpreted as the exact opposite.

@Tewi.

Only Hannah has suffered the full force of his power if you know what I mean :^)

Safe to say she wasn't impressed and that ended in the part of their lives when they dated.

Yes that was a sex joke and has in no way a connection to his power in magic.

In terms of combat skill (skill in actually fighting), Daichi isn't a physical fighter and more of a fighter of magic. His raw power in magic is quite high and is potentially the strongest of the teachers in light magic. Pure light magic he can beat the other teachers in a full on fight, but it would still be quite a long one. He tends to also not go for a more direct, simple fighting strategy WITH MAGIC. Instead he'd try to use his magic creatively, and conservatively as much as possible and save up in the event he needs to absolutely let loose. As such he would try to be more creative with his magic. Save up most of his magic and use spells that could disable or hinder his opponent than straight up overpowering them. Yes he can overpower some of the teachers if he lets loose with light magic, and I mean like he COMPLETELY tosses out all restraint and just goes all out. In that event he can overpower the other teahcers, but not by a whole lot. In terms of other elements he has basic capabilities with fire magic and knows a few more decent spells. He has skill in restoration magic, Ordo magic, Mana, water, and several others that don't involve Dark, Corruption, Poison, things like that. Mainly because he has very poor control if not an inability to use Dark, corruption, poison, etc.

So outside Light magic, Ordo, and Mana control. He has quite a decent amount knowledge with the basic elemental types and can use a few of them (but only basic spells and control) over Water, Air, and Fire (earth he struggles with a bit.) However he is not a pro because he has a hard time harnessing the magical energy to use other elemental types of magic other than Light, Ordo, and pure Mana. Though he makes up for it with like I said. Knowledge of it. Which is why he's the headmaster.

He may be a absolute beast in one magic type (light), and very advanced in ordo and mana, but despite his poor control over other elements. He has the KNOWLEDGE to teach classes in the event he needs to serve as a substitute. In the event he'd need to substitute for say... Toriel's classes of Fire magic. He'd rather try basic fire control to showcase a few things, but mainly do a class that day involving more written tests/essay's OR an oral lesson on the subject.

Besides he may be very strong but in terms of raw magic power his older sister (who is 57) is nearly double that of his own power. Thankfully she is not going to be a major threat, or character until plot absolutely demands for an appearance for her (she likes to hidey hide in her special place.)

Hope that clears some things up with the headmaster.

In short. Light magic. REALLY FUCKING POWERFUL. Can overpower the teachers if he GOES ALL OUT (which is really rare) and would rather fight wisely. Ordo and Mana magic he has very high skill and proficiency, but not to the extent of Light magic. Other elements (earth fire, water, and wind and some of the subtypes to that) he has a large deal of knowledge (from being taught, and just research on his own) to teach classes if he needs to, but he is quite weak in those. While Dark magic and other types of the darker side of the magic spectrum he has almost no skill in using, but ENOUGH knowledge to get by.

He's also not a physical fighter as I said above.

The magic of the carnal and emotional pleasure is one of the hardest to master, the user must have a balance between the control and the desire, even more, the user must gain the trust of their partner so this delicate magic can be used to its purest form.
