"In the beginning, I thought of him as just another hostile that needed to be neutralized. After his death speech, it became personal. Usually when I fight, I tend to be detached from the person I'm fighting, from the battled in general. HM made things personal by saying those things. I was no longer detached. In truth, HM didn't say anything that I didn't already know. There were so many things happening that day that seemed to shove the fact that I'm built to destroy right in by face. How I see it, I can be either a Spartan, or a human, but I can't be both. They're incompatible mindsets, lifestyles. HM was simply that final inch that sent me over the edge."
"When I heard that HM survived, I was determined to kill him again, only this time I was going to make sure that he was dead. I never knew he was the quadricopter, so I let him on the team, but when I found out the truth, I hunted him down. Whenever we were on the beach, he told me that he wasn't allowed to fight me, due to his master's orders. I wanted to kill him, but I wasn't about to attack somebody that couldn't initially fight back. That would be wrong. I was reluctant to let him stay on the team, but we needed the extra person and Samus, Renamon, and Nera requested that we get along."
"Seeing as how I had to get along with him, coupled with the fact that The Higher Power kept bugging me about.. ahh.. let's skip that part. That part is.. confidential, classified. I opted to follow him to the casino. I was a little tense at first, but I soon relaxed and had a decent time. From what I could see, he was a pretty good person, it's just that he had a job that put him at odds with me. It was soon after that when I learned that he lost his father. I wanted to tell him, but for some reason, I couldn't bring myself to do so. He was already in pain and me bringing it up would only make things worse. I comforted him and told him that his father was a person to be proud of, that he was brave and honorable. It was then when I realized that despite the fact that he used to be an enemy, he was more than just a former hostile. He was a kid that lost his father because of my actions and hated his job as a member of the Neo-Yakuza. Sure HM had some faults, but in the end, he was still a good person. I may not have said it, but I forgave him for saying those things to me. That's whenever I began to regard him as a friend."
"I.. don't really want to tell him about what I did to his father, but I know it's bound to come out sooner or later. I think it would be best if I told him, but it would hurt him. I don't want to hurt him, but it's also wrong for me to keep it hidden. Either way, I do something I don't want to do. I don't want to cause him pain, but I don't want to keep him in the dark. As a friend, he deserves better. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do. I know that sooner or later, I'll have to take responsibility, but it would only end in pain and suffering. I don't want to fight him, but I doubt he'll leave me any choice. I know what he's capable of. He's the equivalent of a Spartan-II in Spartan Time. I have a feeling.. that I'll have to be the one to stop him. I only hope that I can talk some sense into him before it's too late... I don't want to kill him, but I doubt he'll leave me any choice. I created him... I made him that way... I destroyed his life... I'll.. have to be the one to end it, to end the madness and pain that I have caused."
