I was bored, so I decided to look through the Halo Wiki.

"Fred had suffered a torn Achilles tendon, three cracked ribs and moderate contusions in both kidneys while making his way towards CASTLE Base. For a Spartan, these injuries were nothing."

So apparently, Spartan's can be seriously injured and still keep going.:p

I just don't get the whole "cracked ribs" part. Their bones are supposed to be virtually indestructible.
