John as the main Protagonist.

Yuuka as the main female lead.

X, Axl, and Renamon (and Aqua when she returns) as main characters.


Zero, Nitori, Dante, Vergil, Snake, Sheva, Sniper, Isaac, Mima, and some others as supporting characters having their own story until they meet up with the main group.

Auditor, Gate, Volgin, Xehanort, and others as the main antagonist.

Either way, I think John seems to be the main protagonist only because of his choices. They tend to take him into the craziest situations.

I could agree with your decision for John and Yuuka to be the main leads. No Shikieiki? No Komachi? No Otori? And whoever the main officer for Base 1 is for the main antagonist.
