"Oh, and hold nothing back. He is the luckiest spartan."

"Of course not. Which game do you want to play, John?"

John didn't really know any card games except for Poker.

Back in his universe, he had watched a group of UNSC marines play it. They offered to let him join, but John wasn't the playing type. He was content on just watching.

(Lucky me.), John thought as he remembered the patterns and rules of Poker.

"I guess Poker. It's the only game I remember.", John said.

Some few people began staring.

"You sure you want to play that?"

"This will be an epic turn of events. The lucky spartan vs. the king poker. See, Frank may be a dealer, but when he plays, he is immortal. Especially in poker. Ain't that right, face poker?"

"I told you to stop calling me that, dammit... oh well. Dealer, set up the cards."

A dealer began shuffling the cards.

"Heehee... let the games begin!!!"

John was about to sit at the table, but stopped.

Instead, he opted to stand.

John pulled the emergency hatch on his helmet and put his helmet on the chair.

(Luckiest Spartan, huh?)

John was never one to test his luck, and despite what everyone told him, he believed that he made his own luck.

Perhaps that's why he possessed such uncanny, supernatural luck.

Of course, not even John could deny that he was special.

"Let's get started then.", John said in a calm tone.

The cards were passed out. Frank looked at the cards, then placed two down. All this with a face that gives a rock more personality. Then he got two more cards.

I... couldn't believe it...

"I announce... JOHN HAS WON!!!"

The crowd went wild.

"I guess I lose today. But next time, you won't be so lucky, petty officer spartan-117 Master Chief John."

He went out for a hand shake.

It irked John whenever somebody butchered his rank, service tag, and name, but he didn't let it show.

John returned the handshake and spoke.

"I'd say it was a good game, regardless of luck or skill.", John said.

The truth was, that was the first time John played Poker.

(Beginner's luck.), John thought to himself.

"And what did you win? 10,000 FREAKIN DOLLARS!!! Man, we're rich!!!"

I walked over to Frank.

"Hows it feel to finally be beaten?"

"Feels weird, but... feels kinda relieving that I don't have the weight of the best poker player ever."

"I'll bet it does. Hey, good luck while I'm gone. It's now your responsibility to keep this casino alive, got it?"

"Alright."

All of a sudden, the woman from earlier came around.

"Hey there."

Welcome back, madam."

She looks at John.

"Where have I... Oh yea, you questioned me at TISF! Oh, well don't worry, he's not the man you're looking for, no sir!"

"Uh, he already dealt with me."

"And he didn't arrest you?"

"Nope. He actually needs me for a future operation."

"Oh, I see."

"I admit, I was going to blow him away with a "Punt Gun", but certain circumstances prevented me from doing so.", John said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"If you did that, you would have disappointed a lot of people, mister! I mean, look at the way he dances!"

She showed John a video on her phone of HM and Frank doing the duet dance and singing.

(I don't need to show this video again, do I? If so, I'll post it on the OOC board)

Frank and I watched the video as well.

"Whoa! We look way better when we actually watch ourselves! We looked epic!"

"Yea we did!"

John shrugged, frowned, and put his helmet back on.

"It all depends on whether or not he behaves himself.", John said to the girl.

John didn't really pay attention to the video, he had already seen HM dance through bullets.

"Hey, let me see the phone."

I grabbed the phone. Let's see how far the MIHI can go. I put a piece of myself inside the phone. I retrieved the video data and made a replica and stored it away.

"Alright, here ya go."

I turned to John.

"Well, have you had enough?"

"Sure. I've never really been one for these kinds of things anyway.", John said as he grabbed "Bullet-Proof" and the ammo bag.

John strapped them to his back and walked back to HM.

"Alright."

I went up stage.

"Everyone... I will be taking my final leave! I will return to my people as soon as possible. But until then, Frank will tak my place as king of the casino. Give him a round!"

Everyone clapped for Frank.

"Let's also give a hand to the first one to beat face poker, John!"

Everyone clapped for John as well.

"Alright, good night my people!!!"

Everyone went wild. The woman came up to me again

"Remember. If you fall, I'll be there to pick you back up."

"When the time comes, my dear."

She gave me another kiss. Then I headed out the door.

"Ha! Hey, do you think that the armor lady would fall for me if I showed her the video of me?"

"I don't know. I don't have experience when it comes to that kind of stuff.", John said.

"They're probably still at the beach, in Samus's ship."
