Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

"That black orb belongs to an organization that likes to summon shadow beings called the Heartless. They'll be swarming the place soon."
John looked over to Mima.
"I can't leave her out here. I'm taking her with me. You guys should find cover.", John said to Vinnie as he picked Mima up and began taking her to Yukari's Resort.

John looked over to Mima.

As time went on the orb began to suck up small objects of the ground. Mostly trees and other plants.
Right under the orb a young boy in a dark suit waits. Master Xehanort stands beside him. "Remember, we only need the data. Nothing more.
In fact it will be fatal for our plan if you overdo it."
The young boy then replies back. "Don't worry. Nothing more. I do get to have some fun right?" He then summons a Heartless looking pretty much like John.
"That's just fine" Xehanort replies before disappearing in a Corridor of Darkness.

John put her in the kitchen and looked for a piece of paper and pencil.
John then began writing a note.
"Off to look for culprit. - John", John read the note.
John put the note on the table and went outside.

After a couple minutes, John eventually caught dots on his radar.
(Two friendlies, two hostiles.)
John sprinted towards the location and found Renamon, Nera, a little boy, and a dark...SPARTAN!?
"What the hell is that?", John asked as he pointed towards the dark Spartan.
