Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

DiZ wandewreed around where it had all happened. After looking for some time he finally found what he was looking for.
The dead body. He had just recently dies so the heart was still intact. He then proceeded to extract it and put it in a glass bottle like the other hearts he had.

"Ansem was being Ansem, telling me to give in to the dark."
John then paused on Nera's second question. John simply replied with a cryptic answer.
"Our duty, as soldiers, is to protect humanity. Whatever the cost.", John said with the same distant, emotionless tone as before.
John then resumed walking back to the Engi-con.
