30 Miles From Osaka - Japan

John looked up to the sky to see that the helicopter was still airborne, and leaving without him!

(......There goes my ride.)

John looked up and saw a second helicopter inbound.

Komachi cried out, "Look, one of them jumped out!" Sure enough, there was a man free-falling from the helicopter.

"Don't worry about the helicopter," Otori yelled against the wind, "one of the characters are taking care of that. If we let that one alone, he will certainly die!"

We rushed to a landing a few yards away from the stranger. We brought a blanket along with us. We headed over to the sprawled out body and threw the blanket over him.

"Stranger, are you alright? What is your name?"

"Are you alright? What is your name?"

John stood up without hesitation.

"I'm fine. Who are you?"

"My name is Shikieiki Yamaxanadu. I come from the Gensokyo dimention. What about you?"

"Hate to interrupt, mi- I mean Shikieiki," otori cried against the wind, "but we really need to get going before hypothermea kicks in!" I hate to admit it, but he had a very valid point. "Stranger, please, come along with us before we all die, because I'm not leaving without assuring your safety. I'm afraid you haven't a choice. Follow me."

(I may have just found a ride...)

"Okay, but we need to follow that helicopter."

"Very well the-"

Otori cut in. "We lost the chopper. We have no idea where you all are headed. If you could ple-

Then Komachi cut in. Anyone else? "Ummm...... 'Bout the chopper... It only has enough to take us fifteen miles. Where is it that you are headed too?"

"I need to meet up with someone in the city."

Out of the corner of his visor, he saw an abandoned car.

"Follow me. I've got an idea."

Otori looked at the car, then at the landscape, then at the stranger. "No. No, no no no no! Look at the landscape and look at the car. Not to mention the weather! If we are going through with your crack-headed plan, then I'm driving."

I didnt have a problem. "Hey stranger," I asked, "you have a good plan. But one, this thing runs on electricity, or so I was told. Where are we going to get that? In the middle of the forest? And two, this thing also runs on feul. Again, where are we going to get that?"

Thirty miles from Osaka, Japan

Coming from the cloud were dozens of large meteorite-like projectiles, which embedded themselves into the ground, pulsating with the bright orange.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

John began prepping the car for it's final trip as he spoke.

"The car already has gas in it. We won't need much to get to where I need to be. If the battery is dead, I can hook my suit up to it."

John then pointed to Otori and said, "And you aren't driving. I can get there faster. Not only that, I have much faster reflexes."

When John was done, the car no longer had any windows, windshield, or rear windshield, to decrease wind resistance.
