Here's a Concept I'm working on for the "Anyone can obtain a Monado" thing
Monado
A divine tool that can affect the material and immaterial world. This shall be the base for my next concept.
Anyone can obtain their own Monado if these conditions are met:
- Unbreakable Resolve: The person/entity in question must have a resolve that through thick and thin held tight onto that resolve.
- The Power to Make a Change: A Monado is the embodiment of this born from the Resolve and Will to Make a change. Therefore, if Someone does NOT have the ability to make the change they seek, then their Monado will appear.
Abilities of a Monado
A Monado is the key to making the change which someone seeks to make. It grants the user the ability to make that change. i.e. Shulk was to change the future, therefore his Monado granted him the ability to see and change the future (Though his Monado is the True Monado in his world and thus has hidden abilities which go beyond this.)
To keep a Monado in balance, they will have one theme and a set of 3 abilities that tie into this theme.
Constraints of a Monado
- A Monado born from a soul will take on a shape which embodies the theme and person's goal (Most common seems to be a sword, but this is situational. They can be other things...like maybe a shield...)
Thus it's function will be defined by its shape.
Also there is another Constraint:
- If the wielder's resolve falters or is weak, The Monado will harm it's owner. They can still force themselves to use it, but it will slowly kill them. (In Game Example: Dunban forced himself to use the Monado, and it slowly killed him. He lost the ability to use his right arm.)
Other Means to Obtain a Monado
- Replica Monados do exist and can be made. They act similar but lack certain traits (like truly granting the user to realize their resolve.)
