The Zerg were adaptive creatures. Realizing that ramming the Zerglings into the metal door is not going to cut it, the Zerg sent the Banelings into the metal door. Their corrosive acid ate away at the metal until it punched a hole large enough for the Zerglings to begin swarming inside.

The Bren blared it's siren's song, dozens of rounds being sent out at a very fast and accurate rate at the incoming horde, Zerglings fell by the droves, partially filling the acidically eaten through hole with bodies. When he was empty, he reloaded the LMG in astounding time, resuming the onslaught of bullets without a break, counting each and every one in his head. They would likely keep coming, so Hank thought, and he was likely correct on the fairly grim matter. Half a mag left, a quarter, empty. He switched out another with the same speed. One mag left.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

"Target eliminated" Shepard commented in automatic, she managed to stabilize the Normandy and started going upwards for safety. Meanwhile Renamon could feel her mate's emotions, she went to the pilot area to look at where they could go, she found a good spot.

Nera had her eyes closed for a minute until she received the mental image, she faced Alexei and answered "The Ostankino Tower"

"I suppose that would make sense.", John said to Hazama as his face returned to a more neutral expression.

John may have not known what exactly Hazama was at this point, but what he was interested in was the fact that he was an intelligence officer. Of course, John didn't entirely trust him, but perhaps he would be of some use later.

"I don't suppose me asking you what you're here for would cost me anything, would it?", John dryly asked Hazama as he nodded up at him, almost as if he were making a joke and asking a question in the same sentence.

As Lily heard Raven shout for Chung and her to follow, she quickly looked to the radar on her HUD and saw that the way was not clear, but that the Zerg were at least momentarily stunned. Taking this opportunity, Lily spun around as she attached her assault rifle to her back's magnetic strips, lunged over the grenades Raven had thrown, and activated her thrusters, rocketing her next to her other two teammates. After that, Lily then fell to her knees and used her remaining momentum and her energy shield to glide along the ground, spinning to face the Zerg as she did so. As she glided towards the stairwell, Lily quickly pulled out her Designated Marksman Rifle and began to lay down a hail of armor piercing 7.62x51mm rounds.

As Lily took the heads up to run, Raven and Chung were already up the top of the first set of stairs with Raven's arm at the ready, and Chung taking aim at the entrance to the stairwell. Once she did make it into the stairwell, Raven gave the signal to Chung to fire his Destroyer. Within not even a minute of Lily making it into the stairwell Chung fired his Destroyer at the entrance to the stairs, however instead of firing a regular blue round from his cannon. Chung instead fired a powerful, highly explosive red round from the other end of the Destroyer. As the red-missile struck it's target, the top of the entrance, a bunch of debris fell and in turn blocking the entrance from Zerg. This new small blockade will provide a bit of time for them, but Raven then added his own added line of defense.

Using his Nasod Arm, Raven began firing a large amount of napalm onto the debris in front of the entrance to the stairwell, melting anything that can be melted together in the debris, and just adding a very nasty hot material to make things just nastier than normal.

"That should hold for at least a minute or so. So let's use this time wisely and make our way up." Raven replied as Chung nodded, quickly taking the lead up the stairwell.

"Very well." Stukov nodded as he leaped a far distance and landed in front of his Overlord. This giant balloon-like flyer was docile and only obeyed to its' direct commander, which Stukov abused to make sure the Overlord cannot relay Stukov's betrayal to the Swarm. Stukov landed his hand on the flyer's bulbous cortex, relaying the information of the location of the Ostankino Tower. "Victory is within sight- watch out!"

Right as Nera could reach the Overlord, a Roach unburrowed right beneath Nera's feet, knocking her back and toppling her balance and momentum. The Roach's thick armor shook the dust off as it screeched a horrible noise similar to playing a casette tape backwards, about to vomit acid all over the Lucario.

The waves of Zerglings were literally melted away by the Bren's storm of bullets. The force of the light machine gun was no match to the Zerglings' leathery skin, but it wasn't enough to even dent the Roaches' thick armor as they advanced, step by step, spewing acid on the weakened door to completely melt it apart.

"Why, I'm here to broker information, of course!" Hazama said, making a dramatic gesture with his hands, "And besides that, I wanted to be your friend! .... That'll be $25." Hazama finished, jokingly.

It was an instant, but the Lucario let her instincts act by themselves. She closed her eyes, but flames of aura appeared around them and her paws. The Pokémon actes as fast as she could by pressing her paws on the ground and stomping the Zerg´s mouth with a powerful double kick to try close the mouth before spilling the acid and to throw it on its back

The kicks themselves didn't hurt much thanks to Roach's hardened carapace. What hurt, however, were the aura flames that burned the inside of the Roach. It squealed in pain as it backed away, the acid vomit returning to its' stomach before fizzling away, and readied itself for any sort of counterattacks its' assailant would make.

Hank scrunched his face a little at the sight of the Bren not exactly working on the heavily armored Roaches. However, with the Bren on a bipod, he pulled out the M203, taking aim, and firing at the Roach with an HE round, and more specifically, it's head. It impacted the head directly through the hole in the door, blood and gore being spilled everywhere from the pile of bodies that lied directly outside, a layer of somewhat thick red tinted smoke lying over the front half of the room, obscuring the incoming enemies.

Hank took this small opportunity to reload the launcher, keeping it in one hand in case more decided to barge in. The door itself was blown to bits from the explosion, along with some of the wall around it. More room for Zerg to move in.

Nera´s eyes were still closed as she let her aura be her guidance, she could see the Roach and the yellowish aura around it moving frantically as the Zerg was getting hurt with the blue fire ("A good asset for now") she thought while charging to smaller aura spheres, but she exploded them on her paws making them had the same blue fire, but constant. With a hurl, a blue fire sped towards the Roach.

John lightly tilted his head and very faintly cracked a smile at Hazama's response before speaking.

"Okay. I think we might be able to help each other out. What's the price for asking a question?", John asked Hazama.

With the entrance into the radio tower now clear of any debris or obstacle, the Zerglings began swarming in, their numbers overtaking Hank's position by the seconds. While his machine gun fire was still effective against the soft Zerglings, the occasional Roaches ate enough bullets and grenades for the wave to slowly advance to the point the Zerglings were within clawing range.

But they would soon realize, as three of the attacking Zerglings' heads were skewered by buzzing plasma blades, that he was not alone.

"En Taro Tassadar, human." An alien biped equipped with arms and armor that could only be imagined in science fiction novels and movies appeared from behind Hank, slicing the Zergling that managed to slip behind Hank with ease. In fact, there were three of the same species of aliens, all well-equipped, their eyes burning with hatred towards the Zerg. "We have come in command of Executor Selendis to rescue you. Tell me, are you alone, or are there more of you in this structure?"

The first Aura Sphere made a huge dent in Roach's carapace, and the second Aura Sphere finished the job by piercing through the Carapace and burning the inside of Roach's relatively softer interior. The Roach made an almost cute squeak as it perished in blue flames.

"None." Hank replied, not even turning and continuing to fire with the Bren until it was empty, proceeding to quickly pick up a SPAS-12 from the pile.

"Everyone was dead when I got here. They got them." Hank continued to fire off shells at the incoming Zerg. "Worse then the damn zombies." he muttered.

As the SPAS emptied, he grabbed yet another gun, a Tec-9, it's rapid spew of small caliber bullets continuing to pour. "So, escape vehicle?"

"Our shuttles are waiting for us on the ceiling. We must get there in haste lest we get overtaken in the air." The biped answered. With the help of the three alien warriors, the Zerg forces were slowly beginning to retreat, their ferocity in their advancement dwindling. "Guide us through the path; for we do not know the way to the top from here. We will hold off the Zerg forces from the back."
