Jason could see his window of opportunity, and he was fully intent on taking it. He had to move fast, or else the attacking party would notice him. Although they had inadvertently freed him, he was relatively confident that they were not friendly. They were Infinite-line soldiers, which meant that they would be able to hold their own better than these soldiers... not that that was saying much.

With his attention back to his armor, Jason quickly proceeded to pull the door off of the truck that was holding him and lunged towards the other truck, straight into the hole. Jason jammed the locking mechanism against the lip of the hole, covering it like some kind of crude patch as he readied himself for what lie ahead. His escape.

Bakery | Sacramento, California

Koi heard yells, the cocking of a handgun. No, three.

Her vision cycled, eyes glowing. Three men. No armor, just hoodies and bandanas. Would-be robbers. 9mm handguns. Peashooters, practically. But could easily kill someone still. Koi grimaced. Someone was going to die here unless she did something drastic. She'd have to move again. A quiet sigh. Normal life was never going to be a thing, was it? It was always something.

She quickly unlocked a cabinet below her work counter, pulling out a small revolver. Bullshark. Pocket pistol, but packed a punch with it's 5.56 rounds. A precautionary buy, in case they came for her. She readied herself, and then she struck. She vanished fromwhere she was, activating her internal blink systems, warping through the wall of the enclosed kitchen and ending up right next to one of the robbers.

The robber just barely turned before they recieved a backhand, a shot firing out and impacting the hostage taker straight through the brain, his body collapsing to the ground as the hostage dived forward to get out of the way. The third turned and began to train their gun on Koi, but her pistol was faster, a pair of shots to the chest heavily incapacitating them. They'd likely bleed out, but they had a chance to survive, as she purposefully missed any vital organs.

The first, knocked over by the backhand scrambled away from the woman, only for her foot to be planted on top of her chest, her other foot sliding the gun away from them.

"Stop." her voice was a far cry from before, something other workers and friends had never heard before, it was cold, a subdued anger just bubbling to the surface. "Yous... you think... you can come into my store, threaten to hurt my customers, my friends... and get away with it?"

The man could barely respond, her foot making it quite hard for them to even breathe.

"You people's actions got your friend killed, and your other is bleeding out right now. It's takin' a lot for me not to shoot you too." Koi spoke, looking over to the front manager.

"Susie..." Koi called over. " Grab that gun off the floor n' keep it pointed at this guy. Someone call 911 super fast."

The woman did so, as another picked up the phone. Koi stepped off of the man, who gasped for air, and she headed towards the back.

"Wh... where are you going!?" Susie asked, looking quite worried and panicked at what just occurred.

Koi turned back and sighed. "I... I gotta quit, Susie. I'm sorries, but... they'll find me if I don't. Don't try to find me. Please. Just tell the cops you managed to do this with surprise. Goodbye, Susie..."

Koi had a couple of tears in her eyes, but she left out the back door, tears dripping from her eyes as sirens neared. Koi vanished, heading deep into the maze of alleys, moving once again, as always.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

The green man who was just getting finished putting on the clothes he was planning to borrow, and honestly return in the future... if he remembers, he heard a gunshot coming from the bakery followed by the sounds of police sirens and the sound of the backdoor to the bakery slamming shut. This made him shake a bit, and if he had some way to properly emote, his face would have an exclamation mark planted RIGHT in the center of his 'face'.

At that moment he looked down at the alley and saw a somewhat familiar figure running down. Maybe in panic? How bad was the situation in the bakery? Either way seeing her run off the green man quickly called out before jumping from the fire escape he was standing on, and thanks to his very lightweight... almost balloon-like body, drifted down a little slowly. But once he landed on the ground he broke out into a full sprint in an attempt to follow Koi. Which thanks to his lightweight body his sprinting was more like... very fast skipping as with each step he pushed himself further than a normal human would. One of the perks of being a strange... gas thing I suppose. Whether he'd be able to catch up he's not so sure. In the end he just wants to find out what's happening.

Jason's plan worked without a charm, as amidst the chaos the mystery super soldiers and the remaining soldiers of the military were too focused on each other to notice Jason.

After Jason sealed off the hole in the side of the trailer containing his armor, he'd notice that a few of the soldiers that were inside guarding it were either laying on the ground unconscious, dead, or in the case of one surviving soldier, incredibly dazed with all that's happened.

The Soldier was wearing standard issue gear like the rest, and upon noticing Jason he quickly turned his assault rifle to the super soldier and took aim...

"DON'T MOVE OR I'LL SHOOT!" The soldier said as he aimed his standard issue military grade assault rifle at Jason.

Koi simply kept moving, tucking the gun away as she slipped off the smock from work, tossing it aside, much like she had to do with her job now. A few speckles of blood still found their way onto her sleeves. Troublesome, of course. After a little while, she reached the small apartment where she was living. She'd have to vacate fast, but that was no problem. She paused and collected herself at the back door. Couldn't rush in like a madman. People would suspect something's up, then.

She breathed in deeply, regulating her breaths as she had done many times before. Back then...

She seemingly lost herself in thought for a moment, stressing herself out even further.

Jason took note of all the unconscious soldiers around the truck before he met the gaze of the soldier again. To be honest, he did not feel all that intimidated by the soldier, instead rather amused.

"Do you really think you can stop me when all your teammates couldn't together?", Jason asked.

The lone soldier just kept his gun aimed at Jason... but when Jason said what he said he lowered his aim for a second as if thinking. 'Yeah... I can't take this guy on...' However a second later he stopped shaking and held his rifle and aimed it at Jason with a strange look of determination.

The look in the soldiers eye behind his helmet showed fear... Deep down this soldier was absolutely terrified of Jason, but he couldn't back down. Part of it was for his own pride and feeling of self worth. He felt like he had to do this. The man aimed the AK-47 he was wielding at Jason. The good ol' AK... a bit of an older weapon, but it's reliability was often something that many soldiers still preferred to this day. The man's face showed a sense of calmness... but his eyes still showed fear.

Roads of California

Of course things wouldn't be easy to deal with as the telltale signs of combat could be seen from afar, Sara already had her weapons loaded while Sam went behind the truck, the sound of clothing being changed could be heard. "It seems that our job lost any kind of stealth, but we still have the element of surprise." the blonde spoke as she pressed the pedal of the vehicle.

On the back, Samantha was already in her battlesuit and had both revolvers ready. "Then we go all in, the vehicle is disposable, so ram the resistance."

Lynchwood smirked, while the first option was a good plan, going guns blazing was also effective and even could give them more effect to the people. The speedometer's marker was arching its way to the more dangerous speed, with the engine going hotter and stronger.

If there were people on the battle zone, they would soon see a truck going at dangerous speed, with no intention of stopping at all.

Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

Jason seemed to tilt his head to the side just a little as he quickly contemplated what to do, and once he had made his mind, a smile flashed across his face.

"Very well. Your choice."

Immediately after, Jason dashed towards the man, zig-zagging to avoid gunfire as he fired a hail of bullets at the man's gun and arms, attempting to disable the man.

At the same time that Jason had fired his barrage of bullets at the soldier, the soldier also fired his own burst... however he was only able to fire a very short of 5-6 bullets before Jason's gunfire struck the soldier in the arm, gun, and even the torso. The soldier screamed in pain as the gun was knocked out of his hand and severely damaged. Afterwards the soldier screamed in pain as he staggered back from getting shot before falling to his knees...

The trailer of the truck that Jason was in became quiet... in fact things were seeming to become far more quiet than before as whoever attacked this Military convoy seemed to have finished. There were still the sounds of some gunfire, and that tank one of the mystery super soldiers had hijacked still riding around to keep the area secure... Jason was now alone with the one thing he has been wanting. His armor. Now he just needs to get the capsule containing his armor open...

Meanwhile outside the trailer, as the superhumans who had attacked the military convoy had finished up with their 'clean up', the driver of the hijacked tank finally stopped after one or two more rounds of making sure noone was left. The hatch on the top of the tank opened up as the driver climbed out and sat on the rim of the latch's opening. Looking around he called out to his fellow super soldiers.

"Perimeter is clear of any hostiles for now. So make haste and get those damn cargo trailers open!" Commanded the Super Soldier wearing a coat with kevlar body armor underneath, and a gas mask over his mouth which left his eyes visible. At that command the other super soldiers that attacked the convoy nodded in confirmation as they approached the trailer that Jason was in. Only to find that the door to the truck's trailer was ripped off... Seeing this the super soldiers began to wonder what happened.

"Sir the door appears to have been ripped off it's hinges, and there are dead bodies lining the floor... or at least what looks to be dead bodies."

"Then that means whatever was in that must have escaped somehow and the perimeter is not secure. So you two, go and search the area." The apparent leader of the squad spoke, and with that command the two soldiers he was directing his attention to gave him a salute and split off to search the area. At that moment the 'leader' caught notice of something out of the corner of his eye. Another, different truck approaching the location at high speeds and shown no signs of slowing or stopping. Seeing this the super soldier hopped completely off the tank and onto the ground. Seeing this he spoke to the other remaining super soldiers in his squad that were staying put with him.

"A truck approaching from the southwest at high speeds. TAKE. CARE OF IT." The leader commanded, and with that simple commanded the remaining soldiers responded.

"SIR YES SIR!!!" They roared in response as one of them took out their grenade launcher and began running into position to take aim, while the other ran behind cover and took aim with his sniper rifle before taking aim at one of the truck's many wheels... The plan is to shoot out one of the wheels, then as the truck gets a little closer the other will fire their grenade launcher at the truck.

With the other soldiers in his squad now taking care of their new jobs, the 'leader' looked over to the remaining trailer... it seemed to be damaged on one side with a rather large hole in the side. What was more intriguing about it though was that it appeared to have been patched up with... the door of the truck filled with dead soldiers. Seeing this the leader took focus and ran to the trailer door, and with his enhanced strength he began to try and pry it open.

Jason could hear from inside the truck that someone was now trying to force his way inside the locked trailer.

Jason did not worry very much about the bullets the soldier fired. Even if all had struck him, it was simply that his armor was too sophisticated to allow the projectiles to pass through. Meanwhile, the soldier was down for the count but not dead. Jason wasn't that heartless. The soldier may have been dumb as dirt, but he at least stood by with integrity. Now all there was to do was get himself prepped for escape. It took almost no time to find the steel and glass tube containing his armor, displaying it as if it were already being worn. It was time to suit up.

Immediately, Jason punched the glass on the container with enough force to shatter it, allowing him to grab the chestplate of the armor and yank it out. He then initiated his armor's dematerializing protocol and the control unit in his brain directed the nanomachines within the suit to begin the suit-up process. Just then, his armor's base materials were being woven about his body, covering the armor he already had on. Sure, this would be a little uncomfortable, but right now he didn't have time to get undressed. While the armor started to form, he heard a man outside loudly calling out to his men, directing them about the convoy. It seemed they were raiding the place, which meant they had dispatched the soldiers in the area. He really had to work fast now.

Jason swiftly tore open the lockers containing his equipment and took each gun, dematerializing them for later. Meanwhile, he also grabbed all the ammunition they were shipped with, quickly stowing them into his nanomachines. Once he was done, he looked over to the opening he had sealed before and heard even more shouting. Apparently, there was another party quickly approaching, and it must have sent the leader into a sudden rush because he then ran to the trailer doors and attempted to open them, prying and hitting the steel in an attempt to open them. Jason did not have the feedback of his armor yet, as it was still reconstructing itself so he didn't know how strong the guy was. At the same time, although he could easily kick down the door and gun the leader down, a good soldier knew when fighting was necessary, and right now Jason did not have enough intel to take such a risk.

"Stealth it is...", Jason whispered to himself.

As the noise from the doors being damaged continued, Jason carefully and quietly slid the door he had jammed into the opening away, gently wiggling it free. Once it was unsecured, Jason carefully placed it on the ground beside the truck and landed between the door and the hole, using the door as visual cover. He then quietly propped the door against the opening and rolled beneath the truck, hiding himself from view before crawling up to one of the nearby wheel axles and latching on. For now, this would be a good spot to both hide and scout his current environment.
