    Since the discovery of old aperture, the mine cave is gigantic as the player can see when starting that area of the game, the laboratories and test chambers are new to GLaDOS since they have no conection to the present Aperture thus having a lot of mysteries, there are many recordings through the mine´s levels were you can understand a bit of Aperture´s past and its rival Black Mesa

    The test chambers are inside enormous spheres and some are unreachable because of distance or drowned in acidic water and so on.

    BUT in the co-op campaign, ATLAS and P-body find a human vault with hundreths if not thousands of humans in stasis from the 1950s. GLaDOS checks everyone and to see any brain damage (they are long gone) and keeps investigating for new stuff in old aperture.

    GLaDOS is indeed bored since she receives euphoria while seeing tests subjects risking their lives, but since Atlas and P-body are robots, they have no risks at all and she admits she prefers humans

    Im extremely sure there will be a third game for it.

      @Kristia

      Well based on the videos I've found, it's a well circulated rumor.

      There's a chance that there might be a third one.

      I can't remember. Did Portal start out as a flash game?

      I think it did, but then it was adapted and turned into a full-fledged game.

        indeed it is, fanfictions about portal have been more about Wheatley.. I hate that guy and would gladly kick him to space

        anyways, time to go to studies

            This sorts of describes Nhiome's life, from his early childhood loss, his time as a rogue( and whatever happens next in the story) and then his death

            (^ and yay, finally figured out how to do this.)

              Isolated Dolls War...
              always epic and can fit so many situations

              I had actually planned to use it when Aion has to reforge Mercurius and has to go through some trial like Link does in SS (the spirit trials of the goddess or w/e they were called.)

              @ Everyone
              Anyway, I wonder if anyone noticed a very slight pattern with the tone of the songs as everything progresses.

              I'm also starting to think that I'm really subtle with all my little clues for the entire story.
              Am I?

                I like it. It gives off this sort of mysterious vibe to him.

                Some of it seems somewhat light-hearted on some parts.
                Well, the song itself was meant to sort of convey the feel of an impossible battle, where this is used. You vs an unbeatable, neverending army. You can fight them, but another will always take their place. The only choice is to run.

                Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

                You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

                  @cucoo

                  I was reading the conversation between master chief and starla which gave me an idea for how Nhiome will "exit this world". It's an idea that I have been entertaining for some time, and might help introduce my second character once Nhiome is gone. But first, can I know more about the "slipstream"? what is it, how does one enter it, what can it be used for and stuff like that.

                  ( I also added a list of Nhiome's fleet in his character bio on pg 5, it was getting a bit hard to keep track of them XD. How do you keep track of your huge list of OCs?)

                      About the slipstream...
                      -how does one enter it
                      -what is it used for/ what does it do
                      -what is it like in general? a worm hole? a quantum tunnel?
                      -what relation does it have to the story line?

                      these questions are the ones have at the moment

                        @Book

                        Well, a slipstream is entered by opening up a portal in space. The portal is pitch-black for the normal eye.

                        It is used as a means of FTL (Faster than Light) travel, but has been used in one instance as a way to create an explosive, sending pieces of ship to another dimension. In Halo, there are seven dimensions, but only three "space" dimensions affect our universe. Slipspace is creating a portal into the other four dimensions and using it to travel to other locations. The physics there is different and non-shielded craft and sometimes even people tend to simply disappear from existence.

                        It is pretty much a wormhole, except that it creates many tiny black holes that eventually converge into one, or at least that's what I gathered.

                        The relation it has with the storyline is that it was the reason John was sent to this universe. Thanks to his luck, John and Cortana were simply transported to this time instead of simply vanishing from existence. It's not supposed to work like this, but a malfunction caused the whole trip to sort of accelerate and after 3 hours, they traveled 519 trillion years into the future, into the time period of this RP. This is known as a Slipspace Anomaly, specifically a Time-Space Rip, and has happened in the Halo universe before, except that it sent people into the past.

                        If you want to know more about Slipspace and the like, here's some pages. They can explain it better than I can.

                                Yea, Mima traveled here because of the Halls of Time, while John and Cortana ended up here because of a Slipspace anomaly.

                                The Halls of Time tend to fragment and slightly erase people's memory, while Slipspace is just really dangerous.
