@Wonder

It's a normal magical type that let's you change waves. Think of it like sound only better.

@Zekai

They are basically the organization that's currently controlling Ryglaga. They are doing a terrible job at keeping the peace and want absolute control over everything. As Cucoo said, their that classical evil organization that just want to grow stronger and takeover the world.

Character Name: Unknown. Alias: Midnight Sin

Age: 27 (that is what he will say he is)

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Magic Type: Light (harnesses the moonlight)

Knowledges:

Magic: 5-2

History: 1

Nature: 2

Bestiary: 3

Geography: 4-2

Advanced Technology: 1

Religion: 1 or 2 (he believes in his own god)

Known People: 1

Weapons: Dark Night Rapier

Starting Gear: Black mask with a white vine-like pattern on the face.

Weakness: He cannot use his power during the day. If he does, his powers will spiral out of control with the possibility of harming anyone within a set radius and the definite chance of harming himself.

Traumas: as a boy, he tried to use his powers tin the day, but ended up harming himslf and on one occasion, killing someone.

History: He always loved to stare out at the moon. He always practiced his magic at night. One day, a mysterious man came up to him, saying that he admired the skills that the boy had. The man said that he would like to accept the boy as a student. The boy was quite eager, so he accepted the offer. Every night from then on, they got together and trained. He learned everything.

One day, though, it was the boy's last session. He had already learned everything he needed to learn. It was in the day, and the teacher wanted to see what the boy had learned. The boy was eager to show him. But then, something tragic happened. When he tried to use his power, the power went spiraling out of control. The boy was in immense pain. Once he regained conciousness, he looked on in horror, for he had killed his mentor. From that day on, he vowed never to use magic again.

A few years passed, and he was sitting by a lake. He was visiting the place where he buried his mentor, his only and closest friend. The moon was out. The looked to the sky. He said "... I'm sorry." Then, all of a sudden, there was a female voice behind him. He turned around to see a beautiful woman in a flowy dress and a crecent moon badge in her hair. "Who are you?" He asked. She simply said, "You needn't be sorry." She walked up to him and gave him a hug. "No longer need you be afraid of your power." He was stricken with awe. "... Are you..." She said, "I am the goddess of the moon. I have been watching over you for a long time now. Watching you grow up. You are passionate. You loved to use your power. Until recently." She let go of him. "But I grant you the right amount of power. To clense the dark. To help those you come across. Now... Use it."

The boy was hesitant, but he decided he could trust her. He used her power... And it was perfect! Not going out of control... And it was beautiful. "I... I did it." He said in awe. He then went through everything that his master taught him. He went through them elegantly. The moon goddess watched. Once he was done, the goddess walked up to him. "That was gorgeous. Take this as a reward for conquering your fears." She held out a rapier. "Take this, but in exchange, promise me that you will not only serve under me, but serve in the name of justice and... Serve for yourself and for the lives of those closest to you." The boy took the rapier and knelt. "My goddess... You will have my word and my head should I break your honor." The goddess then gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Thank you."

The goddess walked off into the woods, and disappeared. He never forgot what he saw that day. From then on, he lived on the mountains of the border of west Ryglaga, symbolizing how close he was to the goddess of the moon. He wore a black mask to represent the darkness that he lights. He also started believing in one god, the goddess of the moon.

Personality: he is like a mentor of life, giving out lessons of life. He battles with elegance, fighting for those who undermine their opponents.

Ria Cadence - The Last Muse
Spoiler
Character's Name: Ria Cadence

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Appearance: Jet-black hair that stops at her clavicles, tall and curvaceous physique, usually wearing blue leather pants and a laced sleeveless, accompanied sometimes by a beige cloak. I need a picture, but I don't know where it is (flerp)

Magic Types: Sound magic. Just like in Aeterna, think Sona.

Knowledge:

Magic: 3 to 4-2 (She’s the opposite. Knows a lot of theory, but struggles in even some of the basic spells without her instrument.)

History: 3 (Reading books obviously enriches you in history)

Nature: 2 (She’s a traveller, but she always had someone who was the herbology expert. She knows basic herbs that can cure illnesses, but that’s it.)

Bestiary: 2.5 (Can't tame, but knows a lot)

Geography: 4 (She walked all over Ryglaga. DURP)

Advanced Technology: 3 (Having travelled from one corner of Ryglaga to another *which includes the capital where SYSTEM is, she has amassed enough knowledge to understand what’s going on.)

Religion: 4 (Non-human races have different Gods, I’m assuming. Travelling across Rygalge granted Ria enough knowledge of different Gods of different races.

Known People: 3 (Ria keeps a nice set of acquaintances on her contact list, from the King of the Dwarves to an Elven general.)

Master of none, skilled in all, Ria’s expanded knowledge through travelling and reading books grants her as a walking encyclopedia for most topics.

Starting gear:

Ria’s main instrument is a seemingly acoustic guitar with black-and-purple body, brown neck, and black-and-purple head.

The guitar is usually inside a hard black case.

This guitar, named Mneme, is a legendary guitar given to Bethany the First Muse by the heavens. The guitar, along with a flute named Aoide and a lyre named Melete, have been passed down from Bethany to the tribe of musicians known as the Melodas. These godlike instruments were able to control the emotions of people, and were considered danger by the leaders of Ryglaga and other countries. Eventually, the Melodas tribe was hunted to extinction, and the three instruments became lost in history… until one girl found it.

Which segways nicely into…

History:

Ria Cadence was a normal teenage girl living in the outskirts of Ryglaga, in a village called Yarras. Yarras bordered a large forest that led into the outside world, and the children were warned not to go into the forest, for the bears and the barbarians will eat them up. Most kids, especially younger ones took this seriously, but there are always some that dares… Ria was one of them.

During her 16th birthday, together with her good friends, Troy and Gregor, Ria went into the deeps of the forest until they realized that they have lost their ways back to the village. Not only that, the night quickly came, along with a rainstorm that quickly. Desperate, they hid into a cave to pass the night… but little did they know that the cave was inhabited by Crescent bear, a ferocious bear that ate humans as well as animals.

Troy and Gregor tried to protect Ria, but quickly fell to the mighty beast’s claws. The bear moved on, not interested in the two boys, and went to Ria, despite the boys’ weak cries to leave the girl alone. Right when Ria accepted her death to the bear, a thin wave of sound, heard only by Ria, sliced through the bear, incapacitating it. Ria, clueless to what happened, walked over to the end of the cave to find a purple guitar humming softly in a silver aura. Ria instinctively picked up the guitar, and the guitar picked Ria, granting her expert musical abilities and the ability to manipulate sound energy.

Weaknesses/Trauma:

As a full-fledged support, Ria tends to stay behind when shit goes down. Therefore, she is almost entirely dependent on her front line, soothing their wounds and disrupting enemies. Her physical ability is only that of a human female.

Since it's your story, mind if I ask what kind of currency is used and are the variants between regions? Also What kind of fruits are in the Forest my characters are at (will take a while for me to memorize the names...)

Currency you say? *stares into void for a little bit*. Let's just say that people trade with what they have. Adventurers and the middle class people may have coins while farmers and the like normally trade with whatever they have, like food and tools. As for fruits, I wouldn't say there are too many fruits there at all. It's a very dense forest. The forest with the fruits would be Blómlegt forest. Here is a picture I found. You know what that's a genius idea. I should find pictures for more of the locations.

As for the names. They are actually most of them pretty simplistic and lazy. Endalausir forest just means Endless forest. Blómlegt forest means blooming forest. I used Icelandic (Google translate) for the locations as Icelandic is pretty close to old Norse. The nice part is that English and old Norse are both Germanic languages if I remember correctly, meaning that in many cases the words can be similar. Some of them like Skógur bears no relevance whatsoever however. In Norwegian the word for forest is skog. One advice I can give if you want to try to remember them more is to remove -ur or -ir. If I do that with Skógur I get skóg, almost the Norwegian word for forest, skog. Although it's harder and requires a bit of imagination, this can be used for English as well. The locations Úlfur or Ormur are good examples of this. If you remove the -ur you get Ùlf and Orm. Orm rhymes with worm so that one is easy. While a little bit harder to to see it actually rhymes with wolf.

Some of these names have been simplified (Google translate didn't give me the correct word). A example of this is Eytimork wich is actually called Eyðimörk or Eydimörk. Lake Thoka is in fact a version that is not simplified. The simplified version is Mistur, but I prefear to stay close to Old Norse whenever possible. Do note that all of this does not count for Yarras.

Would you prefear if I changed the names around a little so they might actually be a little bit easier to understand?

The names are fine, if anything it's a bit more creative than some of the things I've been doing in Eternal Galaxy (Celestora System with the Planet Alcyon, or Egale System with Planet Senarious, etc etc etc Aside from Egale, they're mostly Latin with minor modifications.)

I primarily wanted to know about the currency cause the "Stranger in different area tries to buy something with the wrong currency" cliché is too good to pass up atm with Revere and Selene.

Coins hold value because of the material they are made of. SYSTEM is a fairly new group so even if they would have something, it haven't reached other towns. The only place where there is money with SYSTEMs emblem is in Máttur.
