X has near unlimited energy.
Whenever you think about it, that means X can produce more energy than a supernova can!
Assuming that John's suit can deplete the energy at the same rate that X puts it in, they could possibly protect a city! It's a stretch, but plausible.
That is, if it doesn't overload John's shield generator.

If X had his limitless potential activated (I.E. Glowing blue hands, red gem on his head activated. Gets nearly double the power. At the current moment he has little control over it when it IS activated. Later on I am planning on him learning how to control it, and even being able to activated it when he needs it (though that won't happen for a long time.)then he definitely wouldn't run out of energy. The problem is what S121 said. John's suit just needs to deplete the energy as fast as X can dish it out.

Remember guys, we still have Hawaii to explore for the main party.

I'm thinking of making the Hawaii arc (for the main party) sort of like a training/improvement vacation. If you read/watched Negima!, the high schoolers and Negi goes to the magic land, and there they train to defeat the Lifebringer and all that. This Hawaii arc is going to be similar, except no final boss.

I think I'm going to have him also use his power over darkness to deplete the power to his shields at a faster rate.
