"Actually, we've only been in the building for three minutes." Deimos said, getting out of cover and killing the rest of them with a burst of SMG fire. He went into the next room, where a large generator stood. Deimos pulled out an explosive charge, setting it for five seconds and thorwing it on the generator, exploding it, shutting down the building's lighting.
"Agreed." Hank went into the next room, which was quite large, with a big warehouse door.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

DiZ then took a long pause. "I don't have any purpose for you anymore. You are free to go wherever you want.
I do must say that I'm amused by this experiment. You converted to data much easier than others.
Some of the code is even readable."

Hey, listen... I like you. I come in here telling you that I not only failed, but I also screwed over your robot. By the way, that robot is freakin amazing. Survived everything that they threw at me. Well, except the darkness, whic is pretty fucked up in many levels. And yet after all that, you choose not to eliminate me. I'll remember this.
And with that, I left. I went over to the resort that everyone was in to listen in on their little plan. I snuck into a radio and stood by.

John thought about his life, or at least the missions he went on. He was awarded every single medal, except the the Prisoner of War medal. The awards and medals never really interested John, all that he asked was the loyalty and respect of his fellow soldiers.
("Records show Spartans routinely exhibited mildly sociopathic tendencies, difficulty with socialization...")
John thought back to his childhood. He never really talked to anyone except when spoken to. His only friends were Samuel-034 and Kelly-087. Samuel was dead and Kelly possibly met the same fate as him, John didn't know. In fact, John was the last active-duty Spartan-II. There were only 3-4 surviving Spartan-IIs left. John was alone. At the very end, John had nobody there for him, they all died.
After a moment, John spoke.
"That's because Spartans are the only ones capable of completing suicide missions. We were trained to be soldiers.", John said with emotion now slowly seeping through his words.
"Then... If what I know is true... The battle is indeed no over as he says.", Huey said to Jason.
"Then we'll just have to delete him next time.", Jason said.
"That b*stard ruined my Mantis. I'll need to modify it for next time."
