    Hi there SUS

it all depends on what you think, we won´t mind what choice you take
Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

Actually, I'll be honest, I'm kinda using Anankerisa to slowly get Mara into the mainstream. Mima is about to enter it in two more chapter update posts. Of course, if the freighter is headed for Celestora, you can guess when Mara may get caught into the mainstream. Cicero, Nero, Eleos before the Egale section and having Anankerisa now are merely means to get people into the mainstream. I sort of want that to happen for now so that I can focus on the chapters and have everyone become a part of the main story rather than minor side-quests. That way, I could incorporate everyone into endgame sequences smoothly for part I.
....though the more I think about it...I'm not really certain how to go about it. Maybe the side-quests become more relevant for the story as they set up aspects...
      hmm....gotta think it through....
      this is so addicting for me right now ^^;

      @ Sustic

It really isn't that hard to convert. You just have to have enough flexibility built into the overall story so that it adapts fluidly and allows for a very broad cast of characters.
Throw it past us, what's the basic plot of your story?

Also, the "was/is" thing you put there is quite accurate to how I feel about it. but in technical terms it's currently being written via the RP, cause I only really had a beginning and end with no middle.

Also for part IV, I was considering making a crossover where at least Aion or maybe the entire team travels back to old earth and wind up in Gensokyo...
the hilarity that would ensue with Gunner and Joe...

You should make it into a actual book, sell it in stores and make millions.

          @ Katrix
That's actually the big plan with it.
I'm just slowly writing the actual thing in parallel with the RP...though in a few years I'll probably refine it to the point where it will be worthy of book shelves everywhere...
Also, I'm kinda just slowly gaining real life experience to help shape the book a bit better. I'm hoping after college I'll have more time to do research on actual fighter pilot jargon, other than the little bit I do know from playing this old fighter flight simulator...
As well as back up a few things with actual science and develop a much more solid foundation for the overall story (maybe make a fictional language like Star Trek's Klingon, add a better explanation and better names for technological devices, etc. etc.)

I know it's not hard to convert a story into an RP.

The basic plot? Well it's set some time into the future where humanity has managed to create super humans catered to certain situations from near scratch (though took a while to actually successfully create.) Like for example the main character in my story Hajime AKA Project: Infinity (best name I could think of) was a super human created from the highly modified DNA of several people, and was one of the first Projects to actually have their own ability (in Hajime's case he was a super human with special Nano Machines in his blood stream allowing him to generate electrical energy, and plasma energy through his body (though is incredibly stressful on him.) Originally Hajime was created by the government to be sent into an enemy base, shut down the entire base with his electrical abilities. Thus in turn allowing a group of normal soldiers to sneak in while the place is out of power and take it down.

Hajime (currently at this point in time of the story he was called PROJECT: Infinity) though was considered to be an initial failure because he activated a few days earlier than his initial activation. In turn his abilities didn't fully activate yet, and due to how complex the process in creating him was complex (took more than 30 years to create.) Since the scientists thought he couldn't be successfully completed he was scheduled for termination. Fortunately Hajime escaped the base thanks to the help of one of the employees there. Once Hajime escaped from the government facility he took off into a lone city and took the name Hajime. After that a lot of things happened and Hajime ended up being the roommate of a girl named Kaname, developed a strong rivalry with a PyroKinetic (can create and control flames with his mind) human named Ryoji, and is now trying to hide from the government which is hot on his tail (it's kind of hard to hide from the government if you are a super human with electrical abilities who is constantly getting into trouble.)

Currently there is only 1 chapter written, and it has a little on the poor side in terms of spelling (because I wrote it with my bad laptop, and didn't have time to spell check it.) I haven't updated it in a long time.

The basic basic plot is: Government makes super humans, one very very special super human escapes, and is trying to hide from the government while trying to live a normal life.

There is a broad range of characters. There are some with psychic abilities, some with flat out supernatural abilities. It's kind of a sci-fi story mixed up with fantasy elements (as their will be super natural creatures in the story like spirits, demons, other people with psychic abilities, and other things as well. Yea it's THAT kind of world where advanced science and fantasy blends in somewhat.) It's also inspired by a series of other stories I've read/watched (especially anime.)

So one can have a character of their own creation with their own abilities, and skills in it if I do make it an RP.

Also if I do make it an RP I will have it set sometime after the initial story or so. That or I might make it take place during the current time in the story (2176.) I already have a lot of stuff planned for it. I just don't have the time to write it with my job and everything.

The main problem I would find making an RP based off of it is finding a main focus. Like what would the main goal be?

Start listening to epic final boss music and imagine your main character fighting __________ and then (succeeding/failing) and afterwards they all (die/live happily ever after/walk into the sunset...TO BE CONTINUED).
And then once you do that start plotting out what things need to be set up in order for that final thing to happen.
              Then go from there.
It's sorta how I made Eternal Galaxy. I started with the end and worked ultimately backwards. I had an end before I even began to consider a beginning.

Well yea... trying to defeat the main villain would be a main focus... I also usually do leave getting from Point A to Point B up to however the flow of the RP goes, as well as a few important events here and there (which all will lead up to the end) while keeping things plot-wise steady. With everything of course leading up to the final battle.

I always try and keep things like characters, and plot progression somewhat free, yet at the same time don't want things to go way to out of hand like this RP has.

You basically summed up everything I'm doing to manage Eternal Galaxy :P
Except I'm stuck with a mainstream and side stories for part I and II. If all goes correctly, part III and IV will be even further up to the RP as I have no definitive anything with those parts.
Yer on the right track matey.

That's exactly the opposite of how I made my RP. While it sounds like you have a general goal of how things are going to progress I have no idea really. What I did was to draw a world map (I just cropped it for now tough), put down locations and and see what happens. While I did have plans for some locations, other I had no plans for whatsoever. I never knew if i would ever even mention Sjávar Town in the RP.The only way to limit the area that people start in was to crop the map. When the characters get their hands on a bigger map, if they do it, I'll post the full map (after I fill in names and geographical places). If the characters want to they can go to the different countries (Eytimork, Kaldur and Fjalli), but that's where I stop.

I like to keep a goal in mind when I make an RP, yet I try to keep things balanced and free. I don't like RP's that are too restricting, nor do I like RP's that have too much freedom. Kind of a balance in between. I do like to list a few notable locations (but I suck at making maps) and races to choose from, but I do like to have people make their own race (as long as it fits with the theme of the RP.)

In short I make RP's with a goal in mind, yet getting to that goal depends on how the players in the RP handle it. I do not like people straying to far from the actual idea of the RP though.

Yeah same here. Isn't this RP a little bit to free for you then?

As for making maps, I suck to. What i did was just draw a few lines. I do have read something on making maps (like tows usually go beside water. Dense forest beside big amount of water. Deserts where there is mountains blocking the rain), but that's about it. Then I just looked up tutorials.

I've handled RP's with the same amount of freedom as this one.

Heck I've been in a RP that had no actual goal. It was just us going with what was thrown at us, and it ended up with a coherent plot.

I don't mind RPing in RP's with a lot of freedom, I just tend to make my RP's with freedom, and yet a goal in mind.
