    "And for you, I don't know who you are, but I could kill you in a finger snap. I would watch your tone." The Higher Power replied.


    Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

    You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

      The Higher Power then spoke.

      "It-it's a little soon for that, don't you think? Besides,... I, uhh.. nevermind.", John said in a slight tone of embarrassment.

                  (Well that was a close one.)

                  John remembered the first time he told someone that he was "dead from the waist down". It resulted in John getting laughed at.

                  "Anyway, since everyone seems to be enjoying their breaks, I suppose I'll go, but I am not drinking and we'll only be there for a couple of games.", John said, hoping to change the topic away from him.

                        John then followed HM.

                        (Glad that's over...), John thought as he walked beside HM.

                          I opened the doors to the casino and out burst the happy cheers of every girl and warm welcomes from the guys.

                          "Hey, everybody! Look who I brought! None other than the chief himself!"

                          Then a lot of people cheered for John.

                          "See John? They love ya, those filthy Halo players... Alright, everyone, where's Frank?"

                          A voice came from the crowd.

                          "Dammit, man, I was hanging out with the gals... no, fucking, shit..."

                          "I know, right? John!"

                          "No fucking way, man! Hey there, I'm a big fan of yours! I've played all five of your games!"

                            "Nice to meet you as well.", John said as he nodded at Frank.

                            He never really knew how to deal with overt praise, he was usually the one that quietly accepted it and went back to what he was doing before.

                            Of course, John was getting better at dealing with it, especially from fans.

                              "Me and Frank here are the two devils of the casino! Frank is a card dealer here. Hey Frank, c'mon. One more performance. I'm going away for a while."

                              "Alright. Which one?"

                              "You know what. The... 'black move' song."

                              "But we haven't perfected it yet!"

                              "That's what we're going to do tonight."

                              "... alright. But only because you brought John here."

                              We walked back on stage. Commence the cheering.

                              "Alright guys, I have good news and bad news. Bad news is, tomorrow I'm leaving for Egypt on a trip. Good news is, you are going to hear a song we've been working on for a long time. Take it away!"


                              The girls went wild.

                              "Thank you, I'll be here for a while longer, then wish me luck on my trip!"

                              The crowd cheers.

                              I stepped down the stage over to John.

                                "I don't listen to music, but that sounded pretty good to me.", John said.

                                John pulled off "Bullet-Proof" and put in the corner, but not before putting a lock on the bag.

                                (Nobody will be able to run off with my weapons. The bag has 300 pounds worth of weapons in it. The ammo bag is possibly heavier.), John thought as he placed the locks on both bags.
