This might be a dumb set of questions, but how large are the statues? What are they made out of? How heavy are they?

Mirrors that reflect light. He will have to position mirrors so as to reveal the switches.

So we have this:

- There will be 7 statues (the number of elemental stones Patchy has) which can only be activated by a constant stream of their particular element
- There will be a furnace which must be regulated (Annie) that will raise platforms and shift the room based on the amount of fire put into it (let's say there's 5 settings)
- The Statues will need to be moved onto switches after Patchy activates them (John)
- There will be walls that separate areas that can only be passed via certain means (John most likely could pass through most of them easily but everyone else would need help from Monado)
- The needed switches are invisible to the naked eye but each one can be sensed by certain means (Kenway, Renamon, and Nera) The only place that would be able to do this is from an observation platform
- There will be a set of mirrors which need to be positioned at the right time in order to allow the statues to activate the switches. These mirrors are in an upper area which has very thin beams that move with the rest of the room.

Assume they would be heavy enough to the point where if Patchy doesn't activate them, they won't move by sheer force alone. (think of it like...when patchy activates them, she reduces the coefficient of friction to a point where that John will be able to move them.)

and a test of courage (passing through the barriers, positioning the mirrors, and simply being on the platforms because some will fall to a pit which....would not end well if you were on one of the platforms.)

Ok here's my rough draft/teaser of what the puzzle will be

The main puzzle will have this initial set up



The black areas are places where the statues cannot move (obviously)
The room will have multiple floors with different functions as described above.

The objective is to move the statues (yellow symbols) to their respective switch (green symbol)
To do this, the two settings need to be toggled.
The two settings of the room alter the platforms so that they are at different levels. there are 4 levels: 1, 2, and 3 with 0 being a hole
in logical order, 3 is higher than 2 which is higher than 1

A statue can move from a platform of equal or greater height level to the next platform. Statues will move to the center of a platform automatically after being pushed in any of the 4 directions it can move (think like a Zelda iceblock puzzle, except going one space at a time)

NPC Character of Choice: Lord of Pain Valak

Game of Origin: Elsword

Power: Valak is a powerful warrior, possessing great strength, speed, and defenses due to the armor he wears. Yet there is a downside, the armor he wears is possessed by a powerful demon which causes him extreme eternal pain until Valak dies... and Valak isn't really dying anytime soon as his armor also keeps him alive to suffer the pain. His armor is extremely strong, but can still be damaged. However if it goes on without taking any actual physical damage then his armor will repair itself. Valak also has a powerful claw arm that is part of his armor that grants him increased strength, the ability to summon spikes, and various other painful objects like explosive spears to strike the opponent. His most dangerous attack, and a last resort technique is to summon an extremely small miniature nuke to drop down on the opponent. However this is only a last resort technique.

Valak is also known as the "Lord of Pain" for a reason. Valak possesses the Scar of Pain. A special ability that allows him to hurt someone without actually dealing damage.

For example if Valak takes his sword or claw arm and strikes someone with it, even if the initial attack didn't even touch the persons skin (like say it strikes any form of armor) his opponent will end up feeling the same pain that he does. This pain is extremely strong, as it is the exact same pain that his armor causes him to feel. Yet the pain he inflicts upon opponents is only temporary, and fades after a few minutes. Yet for those few minutes the pain is said to be incredibly intense. Some would even say "the worst pain they would ever feel." Whenever he strikes an opponent, thus causing them pain some of his pain will be relieved temporarily (but will return after a few minutes.) As such Valak is almost required to fight someone constantly in order to relieve his pain. Even if it will return after a fight.

Weapons: His blade and Claw Arm.

Weaknesses: Valak may be powerful, but he has obvious weaknesses. The armor he wears is like I said extremely powerful, but it is possessed by a powerful demon that has taken control of Valak. This demon has taken control of Valak's own personality, as well as causing him to suffer extreme eternal pain for as long as he lives. Due to this his possessed armor he has grown to "hate the world" and wishes to make others suffer the same pain that he does. This also causes him to go into bouts of extreme rage if he is not able to fight someone every so often.

Personality: Due to the long amount of time it has been since Valak had not been in his armor, it is unknown what his true personality is. However since the demon inside his armor had taken over his personality Valak is extremely sadistic, wishing to deliver extreme pain upon opponents who dare to challenge him. However he does not intend to actually kill people, only fight them to make them suffer extreme pain. Yet sometimes he might get too out of control, and might actually kill someone accidentally. However he is unable to explain himself when he does so, as the armor prevents him from doing so. So he comes off as a sick, and sadistic killer who in actuality wishes for the pain his eternal pain that his armor puts him through to end. Which won't happen until he is killed. He also believes that everyone around his is jealous of his armor, as such is another reason he hates people.

Morality: Chaotic Neutral/Chaotic Evil. He challenges anyone who comes across him, and will gladly accept any challenge as well. He also goes by his own rules, and does not listen to anyone because of his armor. Yet Ran the Demon General who thanks to Dark El has partial control over the demon inside his armor. Allowing Ran to take control of Valak.

Biography: Valak was once a proud and powerful Royal Knight of the Velder army under the Ice Princess Noah's command. However one day Valak had encountered a powerful demon named Spriggan, who was surprisingly small yet powerful. Valak managed to defeat Spriggan, and obtained his armor. As a trophy of his victory he took the armor for himself and put it on. Unbeknownst to Valak the armor was possessed by another powerful demon. Valak roamed around Velder in his heavy armor. In fact, it was believed that he didn't even take it off when he showered. He believed everyone was jealous of his powers and keeps it on in order to protect himself if he's ever ambushed. However this was the demon inside of his armor beginning to take control of him. Eventually he lost complete control of his own personality thanks to the demon, and had begun to travel the land of Elrios in search of challengers. He was also once fierce rivals with the powerful Colonel known as Edan who had made a deal with a cursed sword which basically turned Edan into a vampire. One day, Valak encountered Edan in the forest and they fought day and night. No one dared enter the forest until the clashing sound of swords stopped. A search party was sent after them... unfortunately though they are no longer within the world of Elsword, as Ran thanks to the power of the Dark El had sent Valak and Edan into separate locations in the world. Valak is currently being warped to the middle of London by the Demon General Ran... while Edan's location is still currently unknown.

Traumas: The extreme eternal pain that his armor makes him suffer through has caused him to lash out and fight others to make other people suffer his pain as well. This is something he alone can never overcome until his armor is completely destroyed, or he is killed.

Notes: Valak in Elsword is an Epic NPC. An EPIC NPC are NPC's that one would encounter randomly, and rarely in the PvP arena. Their skills, and abilities are modeled after certain characters, and certain classes. Valak for example is based around Raven's Reckless Fist class. As such Valak has quite a bit of the same moves that the Reckless Fist has. Yet ALL Epic NPC's are treated as their own character.

Also even on the wiki the background, extent of their abilities, and all of their abilities are not fully listed. Only a brief backstory, and the skills they use in the game. So I had to make up quite a bit of info for Valak. Now Valak will also be appearing in London, and will be serving as a character that will eventually encounter hopefully everyone at least once. However that does not mean that he will actually fight everyone. Usually he will only encounter some of the other characters.

Colony 6
Alvis' first appearance is at Colony 6, when the group is fighting Metal Face and other Mechon, a Telethia appears and destroys most of the Mechon, distracting Metal Face long enough for Shulk to damage him with the Monado. After this, Metal Face flees with the rest of the Mechon and the Telethia flies away to a distant cliff edge, where Alvis meets and communicates with it.

The Water Crystals
Shulk first meets Alvis in Makna Forest while he was collecting some pure water Ether crystals to heal Melia. They are attacked by a group of Telethia, then Alvis teaches Shulk to use the Purge ability, while demonstrating he can use the Monado with great proficiency. For a single fight, he joins Shulk's party. After the fight, Reyn comes looking for Shulk. Before Shulk can introduce Reyn, he looks back to find that Alvis has disappeared. Reyn jokingly dismisses Shulk's insistence that someone was there and the two head back with the water crystals, while Alvis watches them from afar.

The Seer
Alvis is revealed to be the "Divine Seer" of Sorean Antiqua, the High Entia Emperor. He explains that, since all of the actions in the universe are ruled by the ether, and that ether is calculable in its changes, then all of the actions in the universe can be predicted.

Eryth Sea
Alvis follows the party into the High Entia Tomb, and acts as an adviser.

After a cutscene, it is revealed that Alvis had a vision of the events on Prison Island and the eventual death of the Emperor. He reveals this to the Emperor, who chooses to accept his fate.

After the death of the Emperor, he is seen talking to Zanza, who apparently survived despite his body being destroyed.

When the party leaves Alcamoth for Valak Mountain, Alvis leaves with them, as he is familiar with the region, though he does not say why at the moment.

The Second War
Alvis continues to advise and follow the party through their trek to Valak Mountains. He states that is best to search refuge in the Ose Tower, now called the Sealed Tower. Inside, he reveals that this is where the High Entia locked the Monado. The party realises that this is where the Monado and Shulk were found. Alvis states that all seers must touch the Monado in order to receive their powers, in a ceremony of seers, which is the ritual performed by Alvis's family. He talks with Shulk about the reason of their visions, and how they are a fluctuation that are apart of the future. He also speaks that the Monado exists to disrupt the ether, and hence change the future.

After the party reaches Sword Valley, Alvis leaves to Alcamoth with Dickson, to help Kallian with the assembly of the allied front, and to resume his duties as seer.

He is seen advising Kallian in the Battle of Sword Valley, riding in Kallian's Havres. He warns Kallian of Mechonis' reawakening and leaves with Dickson to join the group. He stays behind with Dickson before the final battle with Egil.

The Rebirth of Shulk
After Shulk is shot by Dickson and Zanza left his body, he is in the passage of fate or in space if you look at the background. Alvis tells Shulk that he can choose his fate and Shulk comes back to save the others from a group of Telethia attacking Colony 6.

Relationship with Zanza
After Shulk defeats Dickson's Telethia, Dickson calls Alvis for help. Alvis is then revealed to be one of Zanza's disciples. He has his own Telethia, just like Dickson. It is called Sani Telethia. When you kill it, he and Dickson escapes with a Telethia.

In Space
After Shulk's final battle with Dickson, the group find themselves in outer space. Shulk hears Alvis saying that soon he must make a choice. Shulk recognizes the voice, but he cannot see him.

The "Computer" Alvis
"I am Monado. I was here at the beginning. And I will proclaim the end." —Alvis

Once the Monado III was created and after beating Zanza for the last time, a light unites the three Monados (Zanza's Monado, Meyneth's Monado and Shulk's Monado). Alvis begins to talk and says that he is the Monado and that Shulk must make a decision; a world with gods or without them. For this decision, Alvis shows Shulk the past, to see what started it all. In this scene, Alvis reveals that he is "the administrative computer of a phase transition experiment facility A.I" that destroyed the universe for Zanza and Meyneth when they were still humans. Shulk chooses a world without gods. Alvis is last seen in a flashback scene, where he says his final words to the group; that this is an endless new world, and there are many forms of life, and that they will walk towards the future together, hand in hand.

Notes:
Alvis has a symbol, a triangle with circles at each corner, on the back of his clothes that seems to be closely related to Meyneth and her Monado. It is the same symbol found on the triangular chest plate that goes over Fiora's robot body, which seemed to house Meyneth and power Fiora. When Meyneth's double sword Monados combine into one larger sword, the symbol on the hilt of the sword is again this same symbol. When looking at Meyneth herself in her Machina form, she has three large circles in a triangular fashion, which seem to resemble this same symbol and perhaps be the source of it. It is unknown if this symbol is to represent Meyneth, or Meyneth's Monado. However, before at Zanza's death, not only does Alvis speak from both Zanza's Monado and Meyneth's Monado (while both are being held by Zanza), but later on Alvis does state that he is Monado among other things.

On top of Alvis, I'll take a moment to explain Telethia

Telethia are an ancient race that live on Bionis. Their purpose is the destruction of all lifeforms existing in the Bionis.

Known History and Types:

The liberation of Colony 6

A Telethia first appears after Dunban and Dickson join the party for the battle against Metal Face. When all hope seems lost, a Telethia sweeps from the skies and fires a green laser at Metal Face. The Faced Mechon then flies off, and the Telethia lands on a cliffside nearby, beside a young man with white hair.

Makna Forest

The second appearance of a Telethia is when a Leone Telethia attacks the party of a young girl. All of her helpers are killed by the Telethia, but she manages to repel the beast before she passes out.
Later on, Shulk is attacked by Telethia when trying to collect pure Ether crystals to heal Melia. Alvis remarks that the Telethia are drawn by the wavelength of the Monado. Shulk tries to attack them, but it's revealed that all Telethia have the ability to read a person's mind, rendering all attacks useless, even with Shulk's foresight. However, Alvis manages to use the Monado against them, teaching Shulk to use Monado Purge. After defeating the foes, Alvis warns Shulk that the Telethia they fought are merely spawns.

Between the recovery of Melia and the introduction of Riki to the party, it is said that a Telethia consumes large amounts of ether, killing all life in the process. Also, they usually rest near large amounts of ether crystals. Eventually, the party manages to destroy the Leone Telethia, by an overexposure of ether cast by Melia.

Alcamoth

In a cutscene, the Emperor of the High Entia comments that the revival of the Telethia into the world heralds the reawakening of the Bionis, and the destruction of their civilization.

Tyrea uses a Telethia to attack Melia inside the High Entia Tomb. When she fails, she orders it to destroy as many of the party as it can with its death. Thanks to Alvis, all of them are unscathed, though Tyrea disappears.

A hidden laboratory deep within the High Entia Tomb is shown to have been doing research into the Telethia.

Agniratha

Upon arrival of the party to Agniratha, the party recognizes fossilized Telethia lying around the capital's ground. Later, Meyneth reveals that Zanza used Telethia in his attack on the Machina.

The Reawakening of the Bionis

After Zanza reawakens and reaches Prison Island, he starts a ceremony of destruction and recreation. He exposes all the High Entia living in Alcamoth to a torrent of ether. Telethia are revealed to actually be the true form of the High Entia race. They are cells cast away by Zanza to become beasts worthy of the destruction of all life. Eventually Zanza gave them free will and sentience, which made them evolve into another race - the High Entia. However, all pure-blooded High Entia mantain the Telethia gene which will devolve them into Telethia if they're exposed to high frequency ether. This is shown when Lorithia turns Kallian (Melia's older brother) into a Telethia. Melia was half-Homs because of her Homs mother the Second Consort, and did not transform. Many ordinary High Entia were also not pure-blooded and did not transform either, but they were forced to flee Alcamoth and scatter to refuges across Bionis.

After this reveal, the Telethia are shown to wander all around Bionis. However, the most common locations for them to appear are Alcamoth and Bionis' Interior.

The Telethia seem to obey the orders of all of the disciples, as they are used by Dickson in the attack of Colony 6 and by Alvis when he betrays Shulk in the open.

Lorithia's description of a Telethia is one who destroys impure lives like Homs.

It is unknown if a transformed Telethia can revert to its previous High Entia form. However, some of the Telethia seem to retain their memories from their previous form. Kallian shows this as he is able to retain his free will at first, even as a Telethia. Some of the quests to reclaim Alcamoth also tell of Telethia who rescued their fleeing brothers when Alcamoth fell.

Now things are making so much more sense. I still don't know what to say tough. You say that he will be a bystander, but if he is a bystander than what will he do?

The bystander that is more a plot device than anything else.
