That might not work...
You have cases where people would be very strong and fast. Take John for instance. He is capable of lifting 66 metric tons, possibly even more, can run at close to 70 mph, has a reaction time 75 times faster than the average human. Of course, that's with many Spartans. They aren't as strong as a Spartan-II, but they are very dangerous. Then you have the abilityis of Renamon, Nera, and many other magic users. How do you calculate the damage output and defensive capabilities of their magic? The main problem is that the Characters are to diverse to put an accurate number on their abilities without heavily downplaying them, or overplaying them.
You also have the case with creativity. A lot of the battles work based on creativity. We go by a sort of honor system where the person agrees that they get hit when things are not in their favor. I admit, it does have it's faults, but it has worked and gotten us this far, so it can't be broken, can it?
For me, I give my characters realistic stats based on real world measurements.
