    @Cucoo

    That might not work...

    You have cases where people would be very strong and fast. Take John for instance. He is capable of lifting 66 metric tons, possibly even more, can run at close to 70 mph, has a reaction time 75 times faster than the average human. Of course, that's with many Spartans. They aren't as strong as a Spartan-II, but they are very dangerous. Then you have the abilityis of Renamon, Nera, and many other magic users. How do you calculate the damage output and defensive capabilities of their magic? The main problem is that the Characters are to diverse to put an accurate number on their abilities without heavily downplaying them, or overplaying them.

    You also have the case with creativity. A lot of the battles work based on creativity. We go by a sort of honor system where the person agrees that they get hit when things are not in their favor. I admit, it does have it's faults, but it has worked and gotten us this far, so it can't be broken, can it?

    For me, I give my characters realistic stats based on real world measurements.

      Right...
      Yea...It's probably just me cause sometimes things get "over-the-top" and makes me scream inside begging for a limit to appear and also gives me a major headache trying to comprehend what just happened and what there is to counter it then I realize there's nothing and therefore can't do anything. To use something most would understand: Imagine having one ground type pokemon with one move type going against a ghost type. You can't do anything to the ghost, but it can defeat you with ease. Does that illustrate my fear of what can happen?

        While I do understand what you are thinking I think it would greatly hamper us in many different ways. As S121 says we just have to keep it reasonable. In the John vs Ansem fight Ansem had a huge advantage in that they were in the Realm of Darkness, in fact he was so sure of winning he didn't think John would have anything to go against him, then a giant Onibashira hit's him.

          I think I get it, but Pokemon is not the best example to use. Pokemon is very defined, and goes by the numbers.

          I don't think you have to worry about getting beat up by powerful Characters. Isaac is basically just a human with powertools, but because I was creative with him, he was able to stand his own against one of the most powerful enemies in the Devourer arc. In this RP, creativity is rewarded with victory. Even weak Characters can beat stronger opponents if they use strategy and creativity.

          Think of it like a boss battle. The boss should easily stomp your Character into the ground, but with the right tools and strategy, you can beat him. It's hard, but in the end, you will eventually pull through.

          As for it all being over-the-top, things will calm down, now that the Devourer Arc is over and done with. Things should go back to how they were when the RP first started out. The action will be smaller and things will be calmer.

          @Katrix

          Exactly.

          Ansem had the upper hand, but thanks to creativity, some help, and a little bit of luck, John was able to beat him.

          Ansem fits into my boss analogy.

          I still think it was the best, if not one of the best fights in the entire RP.

            It all comes down to mutual trust between RPers.

              @Cucoo

              Trust doesn't sound like much to go by, but a little bit of it can go a long way.

              It's not as precise as quantified data, but it allows flexibility and creativity to flourish, and allows the RP to feel more like a story than a game of numbers and odds.

              In the end, every video game character tends to defy the odds anyway, so it wouldn't work very well.

                My mind is so blank right now it's like an never ending void that is sucking all my ideas away... I can't even think of a post for the Pokemon RP...

                  Also, if you liked that battle then I think you'll love the final Ansem battle, World of Chaos.

                    Right...again.

                    But let's look at my perspective:

                    I have
                    Two medieval characters: Morgan and one other (Most likely Severa)
                    One normal human sniper/assassin: Eleos
                    And...ok I got one goddess: Lady Palutena, but still...her powers are...vague yet limited at the same time.

                    Now specifically:
                    Let's look at say, Eleos VS Six.
                    Regular guns VS Spartan Armor
                    No armor VS Spartan Lasers and w/e else
                    slightly better than Human reflex VS Spartan Reflex

                    In a straight up fire-fight, Eleos is doomed.
                    That's more what I'm worried about.
                    And I can't think of any possible way of making him match something like that without completely changing who he is.

                      I have a feeling John and Ansem will have a battle like this in the second season.

                      He is still in John's mind, and John still has yet to get rid of him. This battle should be harder for John and really stretch his limits.

                      I also love the song.

                        Hopefully my characters will be able to go through some pretty decent battles...

                        All Raven has been through in the RP was a battle against Wesker, along with others in the London Arc, and Chung did technically go through that battle against the Organization (even though I was like inactive until the end of it.)

                            High-caliber weaponry and strong piercing attacks can pierce MJOLNIR armor, and plasma can easily destroy shielding.

                            You just need to get creative in how you deal with Six. Use the SCAE. They might try and kidnap Claire, which will give you leverage. If you can't beat him in a firefight, beat him using other means.

                            That being said, we do show some leniency to playable Character vs playable character battles. We don't completely obliterate them, but we are still hard. You just gotta trust us and bring what you think will help you in the battle. Sometimes, one weapon can make all the difference.

                            @Katrix

                            It will be an epic battle, that much is true.

                              True...I guess I was just freaking out cause of what initially happened with Grima when he did betray everyone. I was struggling to come up with anything to counter what was happening so I just let it happen because Grima is sorta a one-trick pony or w/e the saying is. So it just scared me because I was helpless to do anything cause I was limited by what Grima could do as just an Avatar.

                              And then I guess Eleos would then have to be limited to being a sniper that sets traps...but even then I have the feeling even as a sniper he can get picked off cause super godly powers of who-knows-what combined with seemingly being able to sense everything and then being able to teleport would be the end of him cause as the sniper saying goes: "One shot, One Kill."

                              Oh and ain't this the truth of snipers also:

                                Don't worry, Six won't have the super weapons in the Second season unless things get apocalyptic. The only reason he grabbed them was because the world was in danger. His weapons are highly experimental and slightly unstable, hence why the LAEVATEINN can't be used without THOR. It takes too much power to run.

                                Yes, it's true that humans can easily get picked off, but just remember that you'll have an entire organization backing you up. Just remember that there's Isaac. He's a human Character, but he was able to hold his own for the most part in the Devourer Arc. I'm not going to lie, he was outgunned half the time and needed help, but he was still in the fight.
