The thing is if John wants to use it without his armor he can take it on and off like a normal item. I imagine that if John puts it on when he is wearing his armor it will permanently fuse with his armor, enhancing it and giving John all it's abilities as well.

@Mega
I hope it doesn't cause him to lose the ability to hold a gun.
Not unless it requires him to will the boots and gauntlets off of the suit, causing them to regain their shape.
It would be bad if John fuses Beowulf to his armor and finds out that he can no longer use it on his own, especially if he loses his armor. It's an unlikely scenario, but it could happen.Originally posted by S121Every time I see a new post on the Forum, I feel like a little kid during Christmas, all giddy.sigpic

If you remember what I said the Gauntlets and greaves will fuse to his armor, but won't take away anything to make it bad. He will still be able to hold guns as well. All it would do if fused to his armor is act like an upgrade. That is all. His armor will maintain all the same functions from before, but with the added abilities from Beowulf.Do you really think I'm that stupid? *Walks into a door* Okay maybe I am that stupid...

@Wonder
Welcome back!
@Mega
What would happen if he wore it without his armor plates, only the undersuit?
I'm trying to figure out a way that he could use it with and without armor.
I know it seems nit-picky, but I'm just trying to figure out all the possibilities.Originally posted by S121Every time I see a new post on the Forum, I feel like a little kid during Christmas, all giddy.sigpic

@Wonder
It doesn't help that there are only small differences in each name.
Most people would miss the different names entirely.
I'll try to pay more attention to the names, but it might slip my mind.Originally posted by S121Every time I see a new post on the Forum, I feel like a little kid during Christmas, all giddy.sigpic

It would basically be the same if he didn't have his armor.
Like I said, with Beowulf John gains an upgrade to his armor (only if he puts it on while wearing Beowulf.)
If it's fused to John's suit, then John's suit will still function as it always did. It will just allow him to channel light magic better, as well as make him lighter and give him a sort of Devil Trigger. John will still be able to use guns and all that.
How about this...
With Beowulf John puts it over his suit and it becomes a part of his suit. Then John would get two new stages of armor.
His normal suit without Beowulf.
His suit with Beowulf attached. He can summon them and they will instantly appear on his armor whenever he thinks about it. When he has the Beowulf attached to his armor he will gain all the abilities of Beowulf. Sort of like a 2nd form for John. Like a semi-hyper mode.
Then with Beowulf if he really needs the extra power he activates the "Devil Trigger" (which I will now call "Light Trigger") which will change his armor color to steel grey, with glowing white veins covering his armor as well. Along with a powerful white aura of light (with a few angel feathers constantly floating around him.) As well with a pair of large angel wings. In this "Light Trigger" state John will pretty much become weightless and will be highly maneuverable. He won't gain an increase to speed or power, but with the now weightless abilities along with his suits basic abilities John would basically be twice as fast as Dante when he is in Devil Trigger when in full sprint. This means John would be a serious threat in close range in his Light Trigger with his current superhuman strength (and speed) along with his Light Trigger's ability to make him weightless. Though Light Trigger would be highly draining meaning he can only use Light Trigger for small amounts of time or he would risk becoming incredibly fatigued.
Dante could even offer John to teach him how to use Beowulf to it's full potential, and how to control John's Light Trigger.Do you really think I'm that stupid? *Walks into a door* Okay maybe I am that stupid...

@Mega
That sounds good.
Sorry for nitpicking so much. I'm just trying to keep John as close to how he originally looks as possible. It would be like Dante with blue hair, it just doesn't look right.Originally posted by S121Every time I see a new post on the Forum, I feel like a little kid during Christmas, all giddy.sigpic

@Mega
That would be like spray painting a smiley face on John's helmet.
Is this what you had in mind for "Light John"?

@S121
Yea, except white veins and angel wings sprouting from his back, and the boots and wrist guards on his armor designed to look like Beowulf.
Also I just imagined Dante and John in a stare down then Dante pulls out a permanent marker and draws a smiley face on John's visor.Do you really think I'm that stupid? *Walks into a door* Okay maybe I am that stupid...
